Look how defensive they get when simply challenged. This is not okay. These are tax payer funded universities. You should not be able to discriminate against someone who doesn't share your ideology.
It makes me sick to my stomach seeing this garbage.

I experienced this at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. I graduated making an A in every single course....expect one: English 102. The TA would spend 1/2 the class teaching writing and the other 1/2 rambling about historically liberal causes. Given I was by far the strongest writer in the class, and a bit of a trouble maker, as a kind of experiment I purposely wrote every paper taking the opposite view as him. I received a B+ on every paper. When I went to his office he failed to cite even one reason why I was docked any points. I do credit him with teaching me how hateful, petty, and intolerant liberals, as a whole, are. This experience is literally what woke me up, jolting me from the brainwashing which programs practically all young people that conservatism is equivalent to being of the devil and evil.

+No Name You, me, and a great majority of people all. There are a lot of people who've experienced this in the so called "professional" environment that is your modern day university. What's sad about my experience is that I actually thought I was impressing the teacher by sharing ideas that stimulated discussion and thought. Nope, I was just a dissenting idiot who's unwilling to conform and be indoctrinated by Radical Progressivism/Modern Liberalism.
The trouble here is, do we just go ahead and agree with the teacher to get a good mark? Or do we stand our ground and voice what we truly believe is right?
I can tell you, all of you -- if there are others listening -- that I did the latter and I'm more proud of myself as a result and have no regrets. No regret about it at all.

+No Name Funny English 102 was exact same class I had an issue with. I got a good grade in the class, but I was not happy about the content. It was mostly about the avoidance of using "he" or "she" in writing, as well as words like mankind, policemen and firemen, since those are all examples of "sexist" words. I also remember taking a philosophy class that tried to sugarcoat Marxism.

have educated themselves are are very bright. Generally, no school = idiot. The population is large so there are
large amounts that are the exception only because the population is so large, but relative to the idiots the exceptions are actually far and few in between. There are also many educated idiots as well.

+Ellotus Freeholy, good point about "teach you how to think." More accurately, they should say, "help you think more clearly." The Old School methods of logic and debate are great for sharpening the mind to think more clearly. Today's schools seem to put on straitjackets that channel thinking in proscribed paths.

Very well made documentary. I think the worst example of political activism on the part of college professors and administrators in my experience is when I had to take a course titled "Human Sexuality" where we learned that things like bestiality and pedophilia are normal and healthy sexual orientations. One assignment had us narrating a fictitious sexual encounter with the sex opposite our orientation. Oh and according to our textbook, everyone is gay; its just a matter of degree.

What we need are just Professors who are open to other ideas. I had a Professor this year who was an all out Bernie Sanders supporter and didn't like Trump, but she was open and respectful to other ideas and I had no concerns expressing my views in class and papers. It was a Critical Thinking class so she was disappointed that there wasn't more class debate and discussion at times.

I agree. I honestly don't care if you are a Far right or left winger, just as long as the professor is not trying to force their beliefs onto you. I had a very similar experience that you did. It was my very first college class and my polysci professor was exactly how you described yours. But yet I was able to talk about all of the issues that I supported and had some very interesting debates and even learned a few new things from the other side of the spectrum (I am a conservative/libertarian voting for Gary Johnson) and simultaneously a few liberal students came up to me after one lecture about the second amendment (which i supported )and said that they learned some things they otherwise would never learn in other college classes. That is TRUE LEARNING !!! If more college professors were like this, colleges in this country would produce more intelligent students.

Gene Anthony They are pretty blind to their own prejudice. That lady who was talking about being the only republican in her office - I worked in Education for a while and without asking you it was ASSUMED your politics were left wing. Crazy thing happened - when Margaret Thatcher died the office broke out into a frenzy of joy. The atmosphere was electric. They were dancing around hi fiving each other, cheering, singing "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead", it occurred to none of them that there could be people with views other than their own in their midst, or just people who might find it pretty distasteful to celebrate someone's death. It was a very bizarre experience. You have to bear in mind many workplaces have rules about overtly political stuff, but when Thatcher croaked it might has well have been an office party.

How about this: have a pro-affirmative action rally which extols the virtues of declaring minority students incapable of achieving academic success on their own merits and under their own power; that obviously these students are weaker, less capable, and therefore in need of significant help from their smarter, more diligent, more capable betters. Of course we need affirmative action! That way those students will always know that they "didn't build that" either.
I am not serious. Well, not really.

Colleen Wasner * Mensheviks. i.e. those who believe in a slow, creeping "evolution"/progression toward Marxism, rather than the Bolshevik's stance of revolutionary (sudden) adoption of socialist policy.
i.e. "progressives". What are they "slowly progressing" towards? The same policies that destroyed Russian/Chinese/Bolivarian economies 30 years ago. So the destination _(self-destruction: insurmountable debts, like those that crushed the Ruble 1980's - 90's)_ is the same for Eastern ("red") and Western ("pinko") socialist nations, the Reds just got their faster than the Pinkos, because they both use the same failed policies, the pinkos just use it in "a lighter shade of red".
The USSR -- e.g. the 1990's collapse of the Ruble -- merely arrived at that "destination" faster than USA and EU were destroyed because USSR/etc made "revolutionary" (faster) changes toward a more complete socialist agenda, compared to the Western (Democratic-Socialist... but still _socialist_) nations.

I just took my political compass the other day and I'm Liberal both socially and economically, but I've been keenly aware of leftist bullshit within the last year or so.
I feel like a pariah among much of my social and business circles, simply because I hold views different from theirs. Any job I take on, any party I go to, any sort of event, it's just assumed that everyone is Liberal or Progressive and supports Democrats. I fear that, someday, it will cost me a job. Or several jobs. Or my career.

I understand that we don't live in a vacuum. Our work and fields of study can affect others in ways we may not have ever been able to predict. It is why I was, and still am, critical of so-called "pure science" or "pure" anything on these campuses. A recommended read is an oldie but goodie that provides specifics as to what I am addressing: "The Pinball Effect" by James Burke. My botany professor from ages ago began the course with a lecture defining how agriculture begat civilizations, and why city-states and old towns were laid out the way they were (due to agriculture).
With that being said, the douchebaggery at these campuses are NOT about trying to show the interconnectedness of our existence. It is, as the title says, an idea being severely abused as a method of indoctrination, with the same out of control zealousness as any religious fundamentalist.

I think the root of the problem might be that Americans are addicted to: 1. Feeling things; and 2. the approval of the crowd.
I lived there in the sixties (I am English) and have spent the intervening years trying to make sense of the place. (I was very glad to get of of there, although it took me some time to recover my sanity). As for feelings: Americans have in Rousseau-like naive belief in childhood, and remaining child-like, with spontaneous feeling seen as more legitimate than thought and trying to be sensible. So these students emoting---and not just emoting, but indulging in very poor theatricality--- at the microphone in front of other students, are 1. trying to demonstrate to us all what strong-feeling people they are, and 2. cravenly begging the crowd to approve of them.
Pretty pathetic and contemptible, isn't it. But, like the students burning Jewish books in Germany in 1933 and getting the approval of the Nazis, they are playing with fire (little joke there). They should reflect that if/when their own views become unfashionable, there will be, if they are successful now, be no tolerance left for them. They will be shouted off the stage, as they now shout people off the stage. America is on the way to totalitarianism.

Since when has being the loudest, angriest, and most irrationally emotional been deserving of applaud or serious consideration? Clearly the most cogent argument was "stop it, stop it, just stop it". Amazing, I mean who cares about what makes sense if it hurts someone's "feelies". I'm not a violent person, but these people steering our country to a virtual hell on Earth drive me crazy enough to want to do some terrible things. Look at the start of the documentary with the black guy who was against affirmitive action and how he was booed and harrassed anytime he wanted to talk. These people didn't care whether he had valid reasons why he held his views they were against hearing them because he challenged their views which is why he needed to be silenced in their eyes.

(and the FB page) My son was able to do college and high school together with NO student debt (a total of only about $3,000) from an accredited long distance college. Never had to step foot on a campus, NO debt, no wasted time! It works for adults wanting to get their degree, high school students who want to earn a few credits to transfer in to their choice school or the way my son did it! For sure, college is a HUGE business- don't let your kids start off life in debt or without the needed skills!

It boggles the mind how these people can conflate racism, sexism, and homophovbia and if they even think someone disagrees with them on a particular in of these issues...lets say they critisize radical feminism..not only are they accused of misogyny/sexism[which at least relates to the comment and accusation somewhat}, but then for no apparent reason they'll also throw out the accusation of 'you're also racist and homophobic and transphobic,etc,etc,etc'..How do they even get this from a disagreement about radical 3rd wave feminists rhetoric and ideology and hypocrisies? I dunno, it strains reason.logic. It's biazzare. It also is bullying and CHARACTER ASSASINIATION/SLANDER/LIBEL...and godamn...they should be sued more often for this character assasination/slander/libel/false accusations they always do
They seem only to be able to think and speak and protest in shallow, simplistic slogans. Incapable of critical reasoning individual thought and reason, incapable of complex thuight or nuanced views. Mob mentality, sheeple.
But then to be fair...alot of right wingers and conservatives are the same way.

+Generalissimo Genesis The Aryans are documented, thu not identified as Aryans as such, in a pair of books, "B.C. America: ancient settlers in the new world" and "Saga America" both books by Barry Fell written in the 1970's. They were wiped out in western america ( tho 2 red haired tribes with large amount of Welsh vocabulary survived ) as hit mid states more mixing and in colonial dairies lots of references to "White Indians"......
Lawrence Augustus Waddell wrote 7 tombs on Aryans of Erie ( British Isles ) moving eastward to civilize warring tribes ( see "War Before Civilization: the myth of the peaceful savage" by Lawrence H. Keeley ). Col. Waddell via philology, archaeology and monumentalism amassed a enuf evidence to be ignored by academic stooges (politically corrective scumbags ) and earn the niche of oblivion reserved for those of us who say "what about these facts, those relatives that contradicts yours and colossal amount of both systematic n random 'historical stuff' that doesn't mesh with your speculative bullshitting" = that is = the holier-than-thou $ chosen script flipping central banksters apologist academic propaganda hit men n women marxist shills posing as teachers.... what's name of "native" indian, he won't like the Great Spirit reveling Native White indigenousity, we'er explorers not niche dwellers....and if these racist politicos don't like it than tell em stop using our civilization including the periodic table n it's resulting goodies, the piano, guitars, mattresses, computers, pencils, free energy = (wait, how cum we hav free energy a la Tesla but not use it? cood it be that our civilization has been co-oped n controlled by a conspiracy nowadays by a pseudo-religion posing as central banking? see the site Subverted Nation...sum clear riffs there and also this list i post around to give a grounding to the race war ( becuming more overt in europe ):

College is a business, like any other business. If they didn't have affirmative action policies in place, many campuses would close overnight because of lack of sales.
The only reason why many Colleges are still operating to this day is because of Affirmative action. If it was purely meritocracy, do you honestly think that majority of people, not just blacks, but Hispanics, Whites and Asians would be there? If they were born and raised in the U.S., chances are probably not. Most American kids, who went through the public school system, are not bright enough to get into college on their own merits, no matter their skin color.
SO...In order to keep College businesses operating, they had a clever way of enforcing affirmative action through political correctness indoctrination. Anybody who deviates from this path are demonized, especially by College staff and board members. Why? Because exposing the truth would mean less attendance which equates to useless classes being cut and no more job for failures in lif---I mean---Professors.

P.S. READ ON to read my synopsys story on how the local University in my city on behalf of the campus radical feminists...violated my human and individual rights and nearly pesecuted me overtly:
I'm a Libertarian Marxist{look it up}. Basically Libertarian but I do agree with Marx to some edtent and socialists to some extent about financial-economic class injustice and that this problem has to be discussed and fixed in our world. I am above the left vs right false binary and see it as a deception. I used to ID as left{therew as a time I id's as right wing even longer ago}- and I wen to University and became dismayed..as a fellow leftist inclined person at the time with this Orwellian nighmare and the conduct of other 'leftists"{typically the "progressivist" movement}..as I did when I left the right behind for similar reasons.
But colleges and universities are indeed Orwellian newspeak nightmare worlds that propogandize rather than teach and inform. propogandize with anti-white/male racism/sexism{misandry} and infantilize and give a sense of special entitlement{rather than empower} to females, it's condescnending not empowering. And with forcing radical 3rd wave feminism down everyones throats..and not just in the socia sciences and mainatining a pseudo-progrssivist radical feminist cult and socially engineering society is authoritarian, hypocritical, and frighteningly Orwellian ways.
I have not abandoned all the tenets of the left, nor of the right. All the values and principles I have are summed up as not this or that wing, not this or that party, buit Libertarian Marxist.
The attack on freedom of concience/opinion/thought and freedom of speech/expression and on diversity of opinion by these people truly frightens me.
I actually was banned from my local University once a few years ago for dooing MRA activism on campus and coming to a take back the night rally with a sign about domestic violence on men by women statistics. I was a month later served by two guys in the University library, banned from campus for several months on the accusation from the president of the University that "several women{notice the deceptive wording, not "several feminists" but several women} on campus wrote and approached me about you harrasing, bullying, and following them"{Basically I was made out to be some sort of misogynistic monster or predator}. I went to the pres's office after receiving this notice to tell her my side of the story..see if we could jhave a convo. They called the cops and had me escorted off campus. Banned for 7 months without any real reasons, no due process. I was branded a monster. I filed a case against them and the university with the Canadian human rights commission[I live in Canada}...it took a year for them to even get the case an arbiter, so I decided to drop the case and move on with my life; as by that time I also was no longer banned from the campus anymore. But I never got justice, they violated my rights and assasinated my character..and got away with it. I also had contacted several media outlets about it all after it occured, NONE were willing to take on my story or even hear it.
These people clearly are insane fascists!!!

Ah! The Bucknell professor's Freudian slip is priceless! "Sentenced" he says. Immediately realizing that he has let loose a little bit of Fascist truth, he edits himself: "required to undergo sensitivity training". He was quick, ya gotta give him that! He found a word (sensitivity) which he could argue made his stutter of the word "sentence" plausible. But his grin exposed the lie. I wonder if the filmmaker has ever considered sending the raw footage of the wankers back to them so they can actually see themselves being ridiculous.

For those wanting to "do college" differently, you should check out the EBook "College out of the Box"!

Universities are a battleground of ideas, where liberal and conservative politics has been fighting for years. The liberals have the advantage of the professor corps and the conservatives have the donor class that donate millions of dollars for professor seats who will espouse their ideas. Both sides understand the opportunity to indoctrinate the nation's future leaders.
For me, in the early 80's we had GLAD and MECHA on one side, and well-funded professors emeritus promoting Trickle-Down economics and gerrymandering. Walk on any large campus and you'll see the names of the billionaire donors all over the buildings. They are not giving their money to promote liberal causes. Here's a classic example: ruclips.net/video/n7ByQTVNpWk/видео.html

Horrible phenomenon and it also is true for women who are not feminists, goes for gay people who are opposing the LGBT movement and many more. It is such a dangerous, superficial development in society that creates more division while saying it unites.

Im not a conserative by any description, I think western foreign policy and capitalsim has a lot to answer for but the conduct and the bias on these campusis is both tyranical and fascistisc. If you can't speak your mind how can I challenge it or have my mind changed, or yours for that matter. When the biased was exposed in econimc faculty members in american college campusis was revealed my self and other "Leftists" were rightly appalled and I find this equally if not more disturbing. Great work Commrade.

The part about right to left ratio in faculty made me think about solutions. I'm afraid the only solution I can think of is...affirmative action! Well, if supporters could possibly consider such a thing. I think that a reason why many conservatives don't teach at universities isn't simply perceived hostility, but also their focus. My stereotype of a conservative draws them as a more utilitarian type. They aren't as likely to get into liberal arts. So they graduate with degrees that might be more attractive to employers and are less likely to be sucked back into a university. I know people with hefty language, social science, art degrees who can only get sucked back in to teach more people to teach more people.

There's no wiggle room between the far left or being conservative. Its either you share their radical leftist views or your racist, homophobic, transphobic and they need a safe space from your opinion they just asked about!! I personally don't see this getting better before it gets worse and I won't argue with these idiots who won't change their view no matter the strength of the argument against them. enough of the college crusaders and their attempts to overthrow the foundation of our society.

Our local University had a mens collective for a short while, before they got the right to exist...they went through several years of fighting for the right and were denied..until they threataned to sue...then they got one{for a short period; it no longer exists}- the same thing happenned with the University pro-life group..who also thrataned to sue after years of trying to start a pro-life campus collective, and thus they were allowed because of thrataning to sue{see these people realize they have no legal roght to ban such groups, and when you threatan to sue..some of them will give in because they know they'll lose the legal battle if one is started, they know they have no right to not allow this group but not allow this other one.
The campus pro-life group lasted longer than the mens collective, it's been around for afew years now and has yet to dissapear.

Those university administrators are well-paid enough that they should be able to do their damn jobs and defend their positions in front of a camera. By instead calling the police, they are effectively using physical force to shut down debate, which is the very opposite of what a university should stand for. Shame on them.

This is nothing new and the Soviet citizens faced things like this and had to scheme to get around it. Tell the administrators what they want to hear. Yes calculus can promote diversity and virology can be feminist you just have to go through the verbal gymnastics to get these courses into the curriculum. Also NE Asia and Europe do not yet have affirmative action and their students are judged on their intellectual merits so when you are choosing a doctor to operate on your precious child make sure you avoid an American black but by all means go with a Jew or a NE Asian doctor because they had to be much better than the black to get into a top medical school.
