This place is so awesome y’all! Go check it out! This was filmed just a few weeks ago right before it got cold and snowy! Can’t wait for the spring to get back up there! We will be doing a group meetup for the crystal clubhouse!
Moat Mountain is pretty awesome. Unfortunately, I haven't been there in many years. Probably one of the best pieces I've seen from there was a large cabinet sized parallel growth smokey amethyst crystal cluster. It was AMAZING!!! So, some pretty special pieces can be found there. Keep it going, I love your videos
Wow, those are some very graphic intergrowths of quartz and feldspar! Love how the white feldspar and smoky quartz contrast and compliment one another.
Awesome place to my must do list! My 4 year Marriage just ended and my son and I are heartbroken! It's time to travel and make some amazing memories with my son 🙏♥️ Give little adorable Matrix my love 🙏♥️ Much respect always Bryan!
Man, love how you cut to the cleaned version of your digs as you go. You are definitely getting me psyched to get out hounding again. Heading to sunstone country here in Oregon in a couple months. A gem I've never hunted for, but can't wait to give a "whaaat"
That’s so cool, I haven’t been out there in about three or four years but I’m hoping to go myself this year, the sunstone money is pretty fun! Whaaaaaaaaaaaat 🙌
@@TheCrystalCollector That would be mental to meet you brother if the timing randomly worked out. Not a club member ( yet ), but put together a dig and myself and family will be there. I love how you intercut the dig footage with clips from later after you've cleaned them. That's the hardest part for me is seeing what it is when it's still dirty
*HOME!* my favorite place on the planet. Wish I had the money to go home, tramping through the woods, hiking the mountains, reading and dozing in the sun by the rivers. Up in the highlands of the Northeast kingdom, north of the notches is the best place to be. Glad you had a good time and you're sharing your positive experience with everybody?😄
I've been going here for about 30 years and it's my favorite place. ALWAYS find something. My biggest whole crystal find is about 4 inches long by 1 1.2 wide. I found one side of a crystal that was about 4 x 6 inches. Would like to fine THAT guy. It's an easy hike in the summer and there are always people there.
Was waiting for this video! This is one of my favorite spots to go. I’m from Maine, and this place has the best quarts I’ve run into so far. Glad you could make it
Another place to put on my list! I'm think a small hand held siffer might be a good idea since the crystals are small and pretty much cover in the soil. I love smalls to make silver jewelry with. Thanks Bryan for sharing this place with us👍.

The combination of feldspar and smoky quartz is such a beautiful contrast. I wouldn’t mind a biscuit like that. 😄 Thank you for another awesome video, sir!
It's so beautiful there. Thank you for sharing. I love your videos. I love rocks, not just crystals. I'm not able to travel much so these videos take me there with your excitement and energy
I love when you point right to something and say, “See it right there.” It reminds me of the episode of Friends when Rachel is pregnant and goes for her first ultrasound but starts crying when the doctor leaves the room saying, “I don’t see it!” That’s me. I never see it until you hold it up unless it’s really big even though you’re pointing right at it. Lol!
Thank you so much for your passion! I'm about to hid the road in February to start my travels and grow my collection of crystals!! I definitely will have to check this place out💎🙏💛🤯🙌
I have dug up at Moat Mountain a few times. We used to dig closer to the bottom of the mountain and even some times of the side of the mountain. There are plenty of quarts seems to explore..
@@TheCrystalCollector Yes there has. The son of one of the owners of a crystal shop near there found a piece on the side of Moat mountain the size of a basketball that’s clear as glass and 2 feet long. We used to stop by there sometimes to buy books for crystal site locations and just to look and see what had been found.
Awesome video. I live not far from Moat Mountain. I take my family at least once or twice every year. Not everything we find there is a showpiece, but we always find crystals and other cool formations. Love your videos and what you do. Keep it up!

If you see an old guide book that talks about the staurolite at Perch Pond in Lisbon, don't bother.
