Mavis, I hope things are going better now. I don't know the details, but I heard that praying for the person that has hurt you works wonders. I tried it. When I started, it was the last thing I wanted to do so it was more fussing at God for the situation, but before too long, those prayers started changing to more beneficial prayers. When I healed, those prayers turned more in my direction and my flaws were addressed. I finally was able to get past all the hurt and my home remedies to fix a problem that needed God's help to make me whole. I believe your daughter is trying to smother her hurt in the bottle. I wouldn't push that argument on her and just be there to listen and offer suggestions to get her back to normal. She has to get herself through this and you should let her find her own way to God. I think letting our kids find their way to freedom hurts us the most; however, she will find her way to God's path to freedom and you will see her working her way back to herself and she will be a stronger person the next time. Oh, something to bring a little sunshine to her would be to prepare little uplifting notes to semi-hide around her home. Don't make it your advice, but make things to lift her spirit. As easy as copying inspiring phrases onto a sheet of paper, print them out, cut them out, and semi-hid them around her house. Hide under a plate, in a book she's reading, in the silverware drawer, in the mixing bowl, in a favorite pair of shoes, in her wallet, etc. Most appreciate a little change of paste and look forward to finding the next one. God is with you and definitely with your daughter! Most of all, everything takes place in God's timing, not our timing so breathe and watch the little things God does to help your daughter. Those little advances will turn in to bigger and better results as she is able to start feeling sure of herself with God's help.

Mavis, I hope things are going better now. I don't know the details, but I heard that praying for the person that has hurt you works wonders. I tried it. When I started, it was the last thing I wanted to do so it was more fussing at God for the situation, but before too long, those prayers started changing to more beneficial prayers. When I healed, those prayers turned more in my direction and my flaws were addressed. I finally was able to get past all the hurt and my home remedies to fix a problem that needed God's help to make me whole. I believe your daughter is trying to smother her hurt in the bottle. I wouldn't push that argument on her and just be there to listen and offer suggestions to get her back to normal. She has to get herself through this and you should let her find her own way to God. I think letting our kids find their way to freedom hurts us the most; however, she will find her way to God's path to freedom and you will see her working her way back to herself and she will be a stronger person the next time. Oh, something to bring a little sunshine to her would be to prepare little uplifting notes to semi-hide around her home. Don't make it your advice, but make things to lift her spirit. As easy as copying inspiring phrases onto a sheet of paper, print them out, cut them out, and semi-hid them around her house. Hide under a plate, in a book she's reading, in the silverware drawer, in the mixing bowl, in a favorite pair of shoes, in her wallet, etc. Most appreciate a little change of paste and look forward to finding the next one. God is with you and definitely with your daughter! Most of all, everything takes place in God's timing, not our timing so breathe and watch the little things God does to help your daughter. Those little advances will turn in to bigger and better results as she is able to start feeling sure of herself with God's help.
