There is such a huge difference now playing this on my SSD. Like my load times were just like yours, whereas now it's quite fast. Like, the load screen with the bar going across is about 2-3 times faster, and then the 4 squares screen is almost immediate. So now like, if a game has long load screens, I'm def. gonna put it on my ssd. Although it's not very big, and I'd heard that you are supposed to keep a bit of empty space on it, due to like, the way it manages memory writes. (If you use up all the empty space, then, it can't do whatever memory-rotation type of thing that helps the drive last longer... idk, there's somebody out there who can explain that) Anyway... little tangent here, but, I started loving this game after the load times got way shorter for me. good video btw. Only about 10 minutes in and I've already learned 2 new things :)
Ah, I was on PS5 and I thought the loading times are not that bad haha. But good to know you can make them even faster, it will definitely create more dynamic to the run. Thanks for the feedback, I am glad the video helped a bit. :)
@@BoosterXIII The "Arkane best hits" have been like 66% off on steam recently, and so I picked up both dishonored games and Prey. And, I had already finished playing Deathloop, which I had had in my library from some other sale years ago. So, it ended up that I played Mooncrash before playing Prey's normal campaign, because of the comparison of it to Deathloop. I wanted to experience this time-loop game that they were saying Deathloop kinda copies. And now that I've finished Mooncrash, I'm actually playing Prey, and so far it is absolutely gorgeous and a really great concept for worldbuilding. But yeah, I bet there are very few people who've played Mooncrash prior to playing Prey itself, lol. It really does hold up as a great experience. Sadly we just have to ~imagine~ what this would have been, if more time had been spent on it. But at least I can experience Prey now. I'm glad there's no recycler and fabricator in Deathloop. I don't mind it existing, but, Deathloop would have been a much more "hoard lots of garbage and make lots of unnecessary garbage" game, if it enabled that sort of thing. Instead they literally just give you a "infinitely refilling ammunition vending machine" which is fine with me. I know it makes it easier, but, it's correct, to me, design-wise. In an Action Game, the Challenge shouldn't be resource scarcity. But actually now I am having doubts, lol. who really knows.. "ty for coming to my ted talk"
Interesting to know. I played DLC after the main game, but I'll go as far as saying that I liked DLC more than the original game haha. Haven't played Deathloop yet, but it is on my list. Thanks for sharing!
@@BoosterXIII Deathloop is incredibly good. some of the more negative reviews are, in my opinion, a result of a lot of the game magazines giving it a 10/10, and calling it a masterpiece and perfect. Which should really show how it Doees stand out and how it really also has a lot of care put into it, but as with any hype, it can get you to imagine something better than the reality, leading to disappointment. It's main flaws for me are, and this isn't spoiling anything, you find this out right away, you can play as either Colt, who is meant to try to break the loop, or as Julianna, who is trying to preserve the loop by interfering with Colt. This means you can invade a random person's game as they are playing, assuming they are in online mode. Anyway, so, the latency when you play as Julianna is hit or miss, with it being miss over half of the time. As colt, you never worry about this, thankfully, because the player who is Julianna connects to the Colt player's computer, meaning that for Colt there's no noticeable difference. And while the Julianna part is not really as fun nor as important, it does play a key role. Like, imagine in dishonored as you are climbing rooftops and assassinating dudes, you get the "Julianna is on the hunt" message jarringly, and you know that a good player will hunt you down. You can't even leave the map without disabling the locks that automatically go into place when she enters your game. Yet when you do play as Julianna, you discover that many times, you can hardly control your character, there is just so much lag and rubber-banding. It's because this is their first multiplayer game, and it doesn't check how good your connection will be before putting you into a game. The 20-40% of the time when you have a good connection, playing as her totally rocks, it's a huge rush. So anyway, not actually important to enjoying the campaign, though. I realize that I am making this really long, and I just can't help but talk about just how charming this game was in spite of its flaws. So big flaw number two, for me, was the crashing. It seemed like after any extended period of playing, like 2-4 hours, a crash would be more than likely to occur. And because in Deathloop there is no quick-save, it means having to redo whatever critical objectives you've done in that zone. Until you leave the zone, it doesn't save your progress, which to me should not change. It makes the game more fun to have to bring it all in, as they say. If only you didn't get cheated out of that by a random crash sometimes. And on my computer, which admittedly seems to do this with other games as well, it crashes hard and I have to actually power-off my pc, Lol. The other thing people complain about is that the AI is stupid, but I didn't really feel that. I feel like there is a lore-friendly reason why they're not good at combat, and, that's because none of who you are fighting are combat veterans. They're ordinary people who thought they were going on a long vacation and suddenly they have to fight You, who, actually is a combat veteran, lmao. So they being stupid makes sense. They even say stuff like, "OMG A ded body I've never seen one before!" Not that it's too easy or anything. It was, to me, just right. Like, I still died many, many times. also you can set the mode to "friends only," and then you can add people to your friends list who you have a good connection with, but, I mean, that's sort of backwards but enough complaining already. The system requirements are tough, which is why, I am sure, I get crashes because my computer technically doesn't meet the minimum requirements. Almost, but, not quite. It needs 6 gigs of Vram and it'll show mine at like, 5.8 with all the video settings set to low. But anyway, so, let me know what you thought, if you get around to playing it :) wow, this was long, I apologize for the inconvenience. If you didn't read it, I don't blame ya really.
I appreciate your detailed review of Deathloop. It's great to hear about the highs and lows of the game from a player's perspective. Time loop theme is very appealing to me in both movies and games so I will try to check it out asap! I did read everything :D
Can you help me? I want to get the achievements for this game, but I just don’t understand the premise of this DLC at all. Does the corruption level even mean anything? I have read different things about it. I can’t seem to get into it. I have all the achievements for the base game. Can this really be done in an hour and a half or are you just that good, haha. I just want to beat it so I can 100% the game. It bothers me that it’s not fully complete. 😔
Hey there, sure thing. The corruption level rises over time, and reaching a new corruption level will respawn stronger enemies in all areas. Therefore, it's crucial to keep your corruption level at a minimum at all times. As the game progresses, you will be able to find and then craft Delay Loops (those purple hourglass items) that significantly decrease the corruption level bar. Achievements for Mooncrash aren't overly difficult. Basically, you need to unlock all characters (which isn't hard, you just need to play the game and explore), complete all character's story missions, and acquire all skills. Getting all the skills is the biggest grind, but by just playing, you'll likely bring 1-2 characters you play the most to almost maximum. Afterward, you can grind and craft neuromods with the Engineer character and then pass them to other characters to level up. The Engineer has the largest inventory and also skills that increase material gain from disassembling items. So, if you explore all areas with her and craft as many neuromods as you can, you can get around 40 in one run (which takes about 40-50 minutes), then you can pass them to another character and level them up. Repeat this process until all characters are fully leveled. Finally, you will need to escape the simulation with all 5 characters in a row; you can follow the same route as I did in the video. Make sure to stock up on Delay Loops to keep the corruption level at level 1 all the time, and you will be fine. P.S. I have a video on my channel about getting the platinum Trophy for Prey, which includes all Mooncrash DLC trophies. If you have time, you can check it out. I hope that helps, and if you have any other questions, please let me know. :)
I appreciate the quick reply. Do you have Xbox by any chance that I could just pay you or something to get the DLC achievements for me, haha. I know I won’t do it. My OCD can’t handle it sitting at 83%.
I should defo check this out myself! Thanks for the inspiration!
Please do!
