I have been interested in filmmaking and it seems like there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that makes acting really tough. Not only do you have to act like a certain character or person but you have to have intimate knowledge of how to move around infront of a camera. This comedian Tim Dillon got a small acting part and he mentioned on his podcast that he did not expect how difficult it would be. The director was getting mad at him because he kept doing small details of every take differently without realizing.

(While I was not infantry) That closeness, brotherhood, frontline unit of the Aviation unit was in, was the real Army. The Supply units I was in, were always drama filled, bickering, and to add old NCO's & officers, who could not hack it any longer with original MOS(Infantry, Military Police), but wanted to treat the supply units the same. Nope! It's nite & day.

Eh don't hold your breath. I don't have a strong opinion on the guy either way but we haven't elected a war general since Eisenhower. Service members sure, it's why I'd bet my life on Tulsi Gabbard getting the seat one day, but generals, I don't see it happening. Especially when the war they served in is connected to such a fucked up mess that became the war on terror. It's why no general from Vietnam or Korea got elected. Eisenhower was easy, he beat the fucking Nazis. But now, there's a lot of baggage to deal with. Even for generals who were popular with the troops like Mattis.

We migrated to the TV room after securing one day. Nothing but three channels then, so we watched Gomer Pyle. Gomer's gonna reenlist so that Gunny Carter wins a bet, that more of his platoon re-ups than some other Gunny's batch if misfits. We begged him to get out, don't be afraid of the civilian world. I honestly think a few of the assembled had tears welling. Damn Gomer.
