Oh wow. I had the same experience with the Redmi Buds 3. I realized later though that I had not cleaned the charge pins in the case and the earbud wasn't getting a proper charge 'cos of the dirt . So everytime I put back the earbud into the case I was not getting a full charge and that means shorter play time. A proper cleaning solved that problem. Try that. See if it works for you. Most people would clean the earbud and forget the case needs cleaning too.
