Jewellianna Palencia getting popped in the forehead with knocka balls and being burned by the straightening comb and my momma swearing it was just steam. 😂😂
Jewellianna Palencia honesty I've done my hair for as long as I can remember but I was watching these videos my mom took when I was younger and I had a whole Afro going on lol😂 She would just brush out my dry curly hair and leave it like that
Sitting between my moms legs as she applied layer upon layer of Pink lotion before finally placing them in afro puffs or chunky twists. I remember playing with those butterly clips, taking them off and losing them. I also remember those bally elastics smacking me in the face lollll And when she would wash my hair I would cover my face with a washcloth while humming. 😁
I remember how my mom used to oil my scalp with baby oil, rake through my hair with a metal afro pick and comb my ends with a rat tail comb. I could go for about 2 months without getting my hair washed, and my mom never used oil or anything to moisturize my hair strands. Amazing enough, I still had long hair. P.S. I loved the video. 😘 Could you possibly do a video of you doing your mom's hair? I think that would be really fun.
Laila Houston Mom: stop looking at the TV, you messing up my part Lil Kids: I’m not looking at the TV mommy 😂😂😂

I can't forget those mornings before school where my mom would put those scrunchies with the big beads/balls on the ends, in Jamaica we call them "Bubbles" & she would be stretching them and not secure them properly and they would smack me on the forehead!! I had a headache the entire day lmao
I remember my mom giving me and my sister uneven box relaxers (ie. they would be on our scalp for 40 minutes, she never tracked how often she did it to our hair, and she would relax hair that had been previously relaxed)! Great memories! Lol I wouldn’t let my mom do my enemies hair.
Getting popped with the comb for moving my head too much . Having to sit on a pillow because my bit hurt so bad . My mom damn near breaking my neck for getting my knots out . Going to my grandmas house to get hot combed and then her burning my ear . The smell of that pink hair lotion . The list goes onnnnnn !!! Lol I can't even imagine my mom doing my hair now . She's the last person I'd want to touch it 😭😭
my mom hated doing my hair and she would find any easy way possible to deal with it so she use to faithfully put relaxers in my hair and she use to tell me it was gonna help my hair grow, she also hated using wide tooth combs and would comb my hair from root up with a rat tail comb, she'd put the most tightest ponytails in my hair I'm just surprise im not bald from all the stuff she did. smh but thank God for youtube cause I realized all the lies shes ever told me or did.
Conecia Junai 😱😩 oh lawd!!! Not a rat tail comb tho🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ my mom put the creamy crack in my hair too...I was 6 years old graduating from kindergarten
Kenisha White thank you!!! ☺️☺️❤️❤️ And Yes, I am so proud of her. It’s definitely nerve racking to be in front of a camera for the first time... she must be a natural ☺️☺️ lol
Every time it was time for detangling (before black parents knew about slip) I better not have put my hand up to hold the roots while my mom was combing the ends or them knuckles would be snapped crackled and POPPED with the brush, comb whatever multiple times until I moved my hand 😂😂 but the gag is she should’ve known about detangling cream or leave in with some slip lord 😂😂
My memory was when my mom didn’t feel like doing my hair so my sister did and she was mad at my brother so my forehead ended up getting brushed and my scalp was hurting,so don’t get ur hair done by an angry person.
I started getting relaxers from the age of 3. My mom couldn't handle my 4c hair and there were limited products so nothing else to do. I became natural on my 14th birthday and now I'll be turning 16 in December and a year ago I convinced my mom to become natural and she even let my 8-year-old sister go natural
The green dax pomade was a family staple especially on a sunday evening i used to dread...... the pulling of my hair through the big teeth comb and i used to be bawling...when shes done my head hurting bad we...sigh memories lol
Jewellianna Palencia ggggiiirrrllllllll i was glad when i convinced her that i could handle my hair...after that there was nooooooo turning back lol

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this video I'm inspired to do one just like it now lmao. Those faces you both kept making honestly had me dyinggg. A product I remember my mom using on me was definitely the *L'OREAL "No Tears" Kids Shampoo/Conditioner* especially the watermelon one lol. Did you know that the "No Tears" meant no tangles & not that it wouldn't burn? My whole life was a lie since I found that out lmao
Chloé-Ana Braidy awww thanks so much!! I’d love to see the video if you do it! And omg!! 😂😂😭😭 I just found that out!! I didn’t know that either 😫😫😂 #WholeLifeWasALie lol

Jewellianna Palencia I’ll definitely make sure to tag you in it when i do it!! 😭😭 i was shook 😂
Getting in trouble for losing the damn barretes you put on the ends! It's not my fault it won't stay on to save my life😂😂 And my sisters hated getting our hair done by our grandma. She would brush your ENTIRE FOREHEAD.😂 Ahhh....
Awwww I think mommy did a pretty good job. I can't imagine trying to detangle your hair...the thought alone has me like "nah, I'm good. Not today Satan"😫 Will I have mommy detangle my hair in the future...probably not lol But it was super fun to watch her attempt to do your hair. Love you two tons!!!😘 And check out mommy with the super cute protective style. I see her trying something new and I LOVE IT!!!😍
Relaxers would hurt me way to much and burn my scalp. My mom doesn't know a thing about natural hair and other people who would do my hair , were too rough. I have been doing my own hair for the past few years lol. When my mom detangles my hair or other people there's no curls anymore lmao and there's so much hair on the floor lol. That's mainly the reason that I've learned how to do my hair 😊
My mom was ok with washing it and stuff, she actually only washed it once a month but throughout the week she would brush it out with water to get all the oils and dust etc from off my scalp. It didn't stink and i didn't have an itchy scalp either and she used cleansing oils when she didnt wash it. it was REALLY REALLY LONG so my mom would give me this ONE BIG FAT BRAID sort of like Beyonce's ponytail she wore a few years ago or a braided bun. Long hair was heavy hair. That use to drive me nuts. It would pull my edges and give me headaches...then if it was braided in basic plaits....omg the brushing was the worst. To this day leave in spray conditioners just don't work for me. Its not enough to help keep the tangles out. And then it would take hours since back then my hair was down my back since my day did not let me get my hair cut...he didn't even like me getting trims. Its so funny because you have those funny videos of dads doing their daughters hair. My dad did a better job and he had NO IDEA what he was doing lolol. i do remember seeing the PINK hair lotion, small berates and rubber bands, and the spray leave in's my mom got with whatever was on sale. Like i said we would go through a lot of it. So it was different every time, they all had a lot of sheen in them though. So i went to elementary school shining lol. Things went down hill when i would start getting it straightened at the hair salon and then there was a few relaxers. My normal hair routine had stopped because my mother thought it wasn't suppose to be used on relaxed or straightened hair. Mind you i didn't ask for a relaxer either. Oh well. Im back to doing what i did as a kid so it grows like a weed.
I clicked this so fast!!! This was a cute video 🤗 I was literally just watching some of your other videos when this one popped up on my notifications 😃
Your hair is so Beautiful!!! Lol, "How much detangling do you want?" Lol, "Did you just pull me back by my hair?" Lovely, lovely video!!! You and your Mom should do more videos together. Stay blessed!!!
I remember pain from braids .. like my momma braid sooo tight .. well it feel like she does . Tenderheaded. numb booty 😂😂😂 .. blowdrying day i would be scared bc the heat from the blowdryer a hit my ear everytime she went all the way through .. i loved wheni would just get ponytails though i loved my knockers & the box all my barettes came in 💕 .. i loved the smell of the pink lotion hair moisturizer back then ..
My mother gave up on doing my hair when I was 8. I started doing it at 9 and she wouldn't let me get a relaxer. I have fine hair and a head full of it so it was a tangled mess. When I would ask her for help she'd be like 😨👀 and walk away. Safe to say I was looking raggedy for a few years 🤣🤣
i remember hating getting my hair done as a kid because i was so tender headed and i had a lot of hair. i used to get like every braid style with my natural hair until i got to hs and got my first perm 😩. i had to beg my mom for a perm and i wish she would have still said no, i mean nothing drastic ever happened to my hair while i had a perm but my hair did get thinner. my mom didnt know how to really style my hair except for pigtails so my cousin braided my hair a lot and she used to braid so tight but like i said i was so tender headed everything hurt me 😂. thank god i know how to do my own hair now and im not tender headed anymore. i love yall video yall had me cracking up your mom is funny and too cute lol. i wouldnt even let my mother touch my hair now she wouldnt even know what to do, i’ll probably be bald 😂.
Lmao I'm 19 my mom still does my hair. She braids so tight I have bumps in the back of my head. Then she comes my thick 4c hair like she's in a fist fight. I be wanting to cry. Then she does her hair all gentle.
this is so funny. i remember when my dad used to wash my hair and my neck would hurt i would try to sit up and he would pull my hair to bring my head closer to the sink
I'm so in love with this video! Watching your mom wash and detangle your hair was a huge ASMR trigger for me 😍 She has the gentle motherly touch. I've been falling asleep to this for the past few nights! Please make another or do a salon role play? Thank you!
OH MY GOD THE FLASHBACKS OF MY CHILDHOOD. Im Hispanic but my mom has straight to wavy hair and i was born with super curly from my dad’s side but anyways. I just remember my mom spending the whole day trying to detangle my hair and since she didn’t know how to detangle curly hair so she would comb it so much to where I had lots of chunks of hair falling out! I’m so glad that I have control over my own hair now
I feel like this is gonna be me and my mom 15 years later and listen to this. my mom is asian she has freakin silky straight hair and I’m like a 3c hair soooo I do my hair myself rn
the hard bristle brush was my nightmare.. my mom would literally hit that hardbrush on my nose and start brushing upwards and everytime i would move she would hit me with the brush on my forehead and believe me.. that stuff hurts.
Awww. You and your mom look alike. She is so beautiful and she seems to have such a beautiful personality!! I love the mother and daughter relationship bond. The two of you remind me of my mother and I. Your mom did a good job overall and your hair came out good as always! So way to go mom...after all, she had to teach you the basics of caring for your hair and grooming it!!!😍😍
The only reason I would let my mom touch my hair is cause she was once natural herself. But then again I still get those flashbacks of get popped with brushed and combs so Itll b a no 😂😂
Awe that was really cute. I really enjoyed this video. It was cute when your Mom said ' you hardly had any hair that came out' when she was untangling your hair...hahahahahahahaha! too funny. Then when you were sitting up and you said " I have never seen this much hair with leave in this tangled before'...hahahahaha! See our Mothers are so used to using combs on our hair because that is how they used to untangle our hair...anyway it was a really nice video. Thanks for sharing your beautiful Mom with us..
LMAO! I'M DYING!!! FINGER "DETANGLE" I THINK NOT!!!! I'M IN TEARS!!! IT CAME OUT NICE, THANK GOD YOU DETANGLE CUZ IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT OUTCOME
I remember going through bottles and bottles of detangler because I was so tender-headed (and still am). I also remember how when my mom would wash my hair in the sink it would feel like heaven on earth. Blue magic was a must and if it was braided there had better be some beads on it.
When my mom used to try to "straighten" my hair with a curling iron because there literally was no "flat iron" Had me looking like Kyla Pratt on love & basketball 😭😂 #90sbabyproblems
This was really good. My mom's style of choice was 4 or more big braids/plaits or bubbles, but usually she had someone do my hair. I taught my girls how to do their hair. However my youngest always complains about how my mother washes and styles her hair (with a comb) when she visits. And yes we have schooled my mom on how to do hair, like you mother she thinks its too complicated. She was a Johnson and Johnson and Dax mom. We have decided not to let her or anyone else do their hair anymore. Too much breakage.
I have straight hair (I'm half white and half Indian) and I remember my mom pulling my hair super tight into high pigtails. I still ask her to braid my hair now because she's so good at French braiding!
You’re faces are hilarious!! We would use the no tear shampoo and conditioner. My mom is Puerto Rican and had no idea nor tools as to how to deal with mixed texture hair! So wash day was always rough
I just remember getting my hair pressed when I was younger and my mom's favorite phrase "no sudden moves" when she's getting the back or my edges! Aaahhh, memories!
This was so cute! Your mom looks so loving, makes me want to hurry home and see my mom! My mom is actually really good at doing my hair. Then again, I'm not tender headed and we're both kind of heavy handed. I still hated it as a kid, I'd prefer my dad to wash my hair because he was more patient and gentle. 😂 She relaxed it because it was so thick and too much work!
Comment a memory that you have of you getting your hair done! ☺️☺️ (hair products, hair styles, painful hairdo's lol. etc.)
Jewellianna Palencia getting popped in the forehead with knocka balls and being burned by the straightening comb and my momma swearing it was just steam. 😂😂

I remember hurting my back and neck trying to bend over in the sink.

Omg! Same here. My parents are Jamaican so I totally understand it
My mom is jamaican and when she is finshed with your head it hurts soo bad u might faint
Blue magic Grease and pink lotion 😩😩😩 forehead use to be so shiny 🤦🏾♀️
I still use the blue magic. It's the only thing that keeps my edges sealed and moisturized
Lol I still used pink lotion when I went natural 😂
OMD I remember the Blue Magic 😂😂😂
I remember getting whooped for crying. Like dawg, it ain’t my fault I was tender headed! 😩😂
Alexandria Nichole awww nooo. Poor baby!! 😢Lol

When my mom would braid my hair as we watched tv. And she would turn my head away from the tv, whenever I tried to watch it😂😂😭
I remember laying down on the counter just like u were in the video and my neck would be hurting so bad my hair would be super tangled 😂😂😫
I’m literally dying at your commentary and expressions lol . But girl those sink days are the memories I have vividly 🤣🤣😂😂
I remember getting burned with the flat iron. Then I would cry then get told to shut up.
the hard bristle brush was my nightmare.. my mom would literally hit that hardbrush on my nose and start brushing upwards and everytime i would move she would hit me with the brush on my forehead and believe me.. that stuff hurts.
I would ALWAY use Pink
The real princess jasmine omg yes that's all my mom used on my hair lol
Same
Awww. You and your mom look alike. She is so beautiful and she seems to have such a beautiful personality!! I love the mother and daughter relationship bond. The two of you remind me of my mother and I. Your mom did a good job overall and your hair came out good as always! So way to go mom...after all, she had to teach you the basics of caring for your hair and grooming it!!!😍😍
AWww thank you so much for your sweet comment! ❤️❤️☺️
The only reason I would let my mom touch my hair is cause she was once natural herself. But then again I still get those flashbacks of get popped with brushed and combs so Itll b a no 😂😂
Lol at the eyes looking at how mom detangles 😂. Classic! Great video👍
I remember I didnt comb my hair 4 a month...that was the worst moment of my life😂😂😂 idk what I was thinking
Haha I remember getting my hair pulled back in big puff, but having my forehead brushed when trying to pull my hair back haha
My mom popping tf outta my hand, just because I would feel my hair lol. Or moving to much
Awe that was really cute.
I love this video 😍😍😍
Thank you!!☺️☺️
Getting popped in the forehead with the brush or a comb and like playing with my Barretts as a distraction
this was cute...and funny lol. i don't let anybody come near my hair with a 12 foot pole😂😂😂 like...I'm lookin out for THEM 4real 4real lol
I haven't laughed so much in a while 😂 her attempt at detangling your hair had me nearly gone 🤣🤣
" Did you just pull me backs by my hair?"
Your mother daughter relationship is goals✨
Using the "no tear" shampoo and not realizing it meant no tears in terms of breaking your hair instead of not crying lmao.
The washing hair in the sink part brought back so many unpleasant memories 😂😂😭❤
Is your mom hair permed ? If not I wanna see you do her hair 🤗
LMAO! I'M DYING!!! FINGER "DETANGLE" I THINK NOT!!!! I'M IN TEARS!!! IT CAME OUT NICE, THANK GOD YOU DETANGLE CUZ IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT OUTCOME
I remember blue magic and dry detangling💀
I love your mom how much detangle you actually want lol this video was so fun
Do yall remember using blue magic hair pomade on your hair and it end up all over your face
I remember going through bottles and bottles of detangler because I was so tender-headed (and still am). I also remember how when my mom would wash my hair in the sink it would feel like heaven on earth. Blue magic was a must and if it was braided there had better be some beads on it.
Your mom is beautiful
This was such a cute video. I was so weak at your faces when she was washing and detangling your hair. It turned out really well though!
Getting burnt by the hot comb
When my mom used to try to "straighten" my hair with a curling iron because there literally was no "flat iron" Had me looking like Kyla Pratt on love & basketball 😭😂 #90sbabyproblems
My momma use to lock her legs around me so I couldn’t leave smh
This was really good. My mom's style of choice was 4 or more big braids/plaits or bubbles, but usually she had someone do my hair. I taught my girls how to do their hair. However my youngest always complains about how my mother washes and styles her hair (with a comb) when she visits. And yes we have schooled my mom on how to do hair, like you mother she thinks its too complicated. She was a Johnson and Johnson and Dax mom. We have decided not to let her or anyone else do their hair anymore. Too much breakage.
My mom would put so much coconut oil it would make my hair sooooo greasy it felt gross
So cute, I loved watching you and your mom bond. She's beautiful as well.
i thought the title said 5 years 😭
worlddwidee niyaah Lol!!
I have straight hair (I'm half white and half Indian) and I remember my mom pulling my hair super tight into high pigtails. I still ask her to braid my hair now because she's so good at French braiding!
You look like your lol, especially on the nose 😍.
hey its gianna thanks! ☺️☺️
You’re faces are hilarious!! We would use the no tear shampoo and conditioner. My mom is Puerto Rican and had no idea nor tools as to how to deal with mixed texture hair! So wash day was always rough
I like chicken nuggets bye.
Aww, so nice to have your mom wash your hair, how do you not get shed hair, my hair sheds like crazy 😩, I love you hair, so beautiful.
