I live in northern Maine we have a town dump. One building is for all the recyclables another is for anything that is still usable from Electronics 2 silverware. Of course, it's all free. If someone puts a piece of furniture, I cut it open and take the stuffing for pillows, pet beds, fill for upholstery, etc. For regular trash their is a compactor dumpster. There is a fire pile area for construction wood, a place for yard waste the towns front-end loader goes and turns the pile one a week. The top soil that it becomes is free to anyone in town you just have to get it yourself. There are spots to put every type of waste. Everything that you want you can take free of charge. Of course it doesn't cost anything to dump whatever since our taxes pay for the dump. We no longer have trash removal budget cuts so basically everyone hits the dump once a week. Since it's only open three days a week 6 hours on those days it a social spot. People chat with folk they haven't seen in some time. All the gossip is shared at the dump. When i was a kid we had trash removal and basically everything was burnt or sold as scrap metal. We would hunt rats/mice with BB guns. Grab bicycle parts and make frankenstein bicycles. If your family couldn't afford a bicycle you and your friends built you a unique bicycle. We got all kinds of cool stuff that we put in our tree houses out in the woods. All including the lumber can from the dump. So Al I lived your childhood dream. Hell I still am. 😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😅 You said your thinking about coming to MAINE again I suggest my neck of the woods. Millinocket and Mt. Katahdin and Baxter state park. The ice caves in the Debsconeag area. The Allegash wilderness water way. So much more to even list. Your want nature we got it big time.
Wow, I sure do miss it~ more than I thought I would, clearly. Such a familiar set up, one that worked well for me too. Only do smalls now, mostly jewelry & such, since we downsized to a teeny tiny house. It's great though, still love the hunt for treasures, doubt that will ever get old. Decent day of sales, nothing wrong w/that =) So true on the southwest stuff & anything vintage leather~ even funky "clod hopper" shoes as we call them, just need the right buyer, they too will sell. Thx for sharingSammy in AZ
I want to sell some of my beautiful Brahmin handbags that I can’t use anymore because I have to use backpack or crossbody due to my handicap. These are great condition but I don’t know where to start
I made a video on how to sell on Poshmark it is by far the easiest and does well with purses and clothing. How to Sell on Poshmark in 2025: The Complete Beginners Guide ruclips.net/video/axm7_gFIzkU/видео.html
