T beach, you went from a Borla exhaust a year ago, to speed engineering true dual 9 month ago and now Texas speed true dual 2 months ago. What was wrong with the speed engineering setup?
charles walkes the Speed Engineering exhaust was too f'in loud. It was cool for the first two weeks but having to yell to you passenger got old fast. The ground clearance also had a lot to do with me getting rid of it. My car is lowered but the exhaust didn't tuck up to the underbody very well. It would literally scrape the from the crown in the road. I did take it to an exhaust shop and they said there was nothing they could do for me. I like the TSP much better. So much more pleasant to drive and it still makes some noise.
T Beach I figured at most haha, but no kidding so a add for one that looked almost identical to this car.. cammed and everything, come to find a few days later the guy hit a tree and totaled it, was parting the car out instead.

I have looked at this system. Did you ever try the Borla with one of the smaller plates? I want some rumble but not too loud or raspy
So what EXACTLY do I need for my 99’ TA to sound exactly like this. What cam? What headers? I know I need the Texas Speed Cat back with the cut out.
Did you notice much of a negative difference from switching back to a ypipe setup instead of duals?
