    Bushwacker fender flares may look cool but let me tell ya they ain't easy to install! In this video I dive into doing the install as well as switching out my old Goodyear Wrangler tires. What a difference 20 years of technology makes, the new tires look awesome! Of course I had to do this with all the craziness that came!

    This is my third watching this video, and yes because of the fender flares but I greatly enjoy your mannerisms and dog

    Thank you for all your blood, sweat, and tears(jk) that went into making this video so that others can learn from it. I used to break bits every time I drilled until someone wiser told me to not put so much pressure and let the bit and drill do the work. Since then I broke bits way less and don’t have the force behind the drill to attack myself with.

      My pleasure thanks for watching and commenting. Certainly some mistakes were made due to a lack of experience but hey you get burned once you learn! Working on a new project now after a 3 year break filming as we speak (72 Nova)

    Great video! I'm about to do this to my xj. I lost my instructions manual so i have 2 questions:
    1) What did you do on driver side front to avoid putting a hole in or having clearance issues with screws and the windshield wiper fluid reservoir?
    2) those small rubber pieces that the screws go through do they go between the fender flares and body of behind the body kind of like a nut on a bolt?
    Thank you!

      Hey thanks. The rubber washers go on the outside between the fender flare and the outside of the car. I'm not 100% sure what they are designed to do other than fill the void between the flare and the outside of the car(I'd imagine get rid of vibration and rattle). They don't actually do anything and the hole you drill is what threads the screw (holding it all together). So make sure you drill the right size hole or your screwed. That's really all that holds it which was a little strange in my mind too but they do hold. The reservoir I had to remove but mine is different because I dont have the jeep engine in mine I have a isuzu diesel. Regardless remove anything that could be in the way or you might puncture. Best of luck hope this helps

    Good morning. What is the estimated time for the assembly of these fenders, starting from when the stock fenders are already disassembled. Thank you

      Hmm hard to say I was filming this at the same time. Depends how much you want to preserve your metal after you cut it. If you do the whole process of priming, painting after cutting it can take some time you need to this stuff to dry. But if you really wanted to I think you could do this in a weekend. It's really not that hard just have to be careful when cutting the rear quarters not to cut the spot welds, but inbetween them.

    I really like those flares, but nope, not drilling holes to my XJ. (Also is a 2 door, manual, too rare to crap it) .

    • @SubdivisionAuto
      @SubdivisionAuto  4 года назад

      Yeah trust me I was not a fan to find out you have to cut the unibody. Its a lot of damage to the original body to make it all work. But it does look/perform good once its done. You can literally stand on these things when theyre on.

      I don’t like the idea of having to cut to add on thosee

      @SubdivisionAuto  4 года назад

      32x11.50R15LT, Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar. Great tires like I said I have 20+ year old ones as spares still in great shape. Drove the new tires quite a bit last year and they look brand new.

      @@r1cardok1d Oh the dogs, they actually came with the flares, pretty sure they should have come with yours. Its just a small plastic piece to hide the detail.
