It's not unusual. Owners who aren't chefs buy restaurants to pretend they are. I worked at one that went through three different chefs because the owner felt he had to have his fingers in everything and wouldn't let the chefs do their jobs.
Wow. I literally was trying to figure out what the competition was here. I thought they were literally competing against eachother and not boss and employee.
Their goal was to simply use the chef's name and reputation as window dressing for their own mediocre menu ideas. And then they're all Surprised Pikachu Face when said chef isn't satisfied with that arrangement.
Wealth has made them entitled and stupid to the point that they genuinely cannot understand why someone who has devoted their life to an artistic craft can't just be satisfied with a paycheck while they drag his name and reputation through the dirt via their 'management.'
Sadly, this is a routine incidence whenever art intersects with capitalism.
He deff hyped chef up from one chef to another
As a restaurant owner, you don't have to like the food on your menu, as long as your paying customers do. Then you can use the winnings as a reward to yourself and go out for a nice meal where you like the food!
That's some mature shit that people like them will never ever understand.
This episode is really sad. The father and his son each got a $250k inheritance from a deceased relative. The father spent his $250k on the restaurant, and then proceeded to steal his sons $250k out of the trust fund, also to put towards the restaurant without asking/telling him. The son was basically forced to work at a restaurant he hated instead of being able to live a good life with his $250k. And the dad can’t seem to figure out why his son has so much resentment towards him.
Wow thanks for the info... never seen this ep
Yeah the son needs to sue his father.
The son needs to put the father and mother in jail for stealing. Sell the restaurant and move away from them.
If the son sued he could end up owning the restaurant and then sell it to get some of the money back. Unfortunately like most people, he'll probably never do that because they're "family".
So I’m not sure but during the episode I believe the son said the money was put into a trust fund that they both had access too. I don’t know if one person is allowed to remove money or if both people on the account have to do it. Maybe it’s also possible his father did it before the son was 18, as a loophole? I’m not really sure.
These owners have such big EGOS that nothing will taste good to them if they didn’t come up with it

@@christopherhucik9550 That would just be a ground beef patty. Burger is the name of the sandwich that has a beef patty in it
@@addictedtoRS the original hamburger was just a pan fried ground beef patty, usually served with a fried egg on top. It was called a hamburger because it was made by a fellow from Hamburg, selling them as a street vendor. Then people started making hamburger sandwiches. Ground beef was then sold in the stores as "hamburger meat." Then people didn't like saying "hamburger sandwich" because they were lazy and started calling it a "hamburger," later becoming too lazy even to say that so they started saying "burger," still referring to the hamburger sandwich. As a result, the other day, I saw online somebody complaining that a piece of chicken between "burger buns" was being called a "chicken sandwich," because in their mind, it's actually a "chicken burger."
