If you want to go way back in NF's catalogue, head back to his Moments album. It was released when he was still going by his full name instead of NF. Funnily enough, I enjoy the writing in Moments more than Therapy and Mansion, so I think you should check it out.
As someone who has been a day one NF fan, I can totally see where you are coming from. The thing that brought me into listening to him was the fact that he speaks his mind and won't conform to the rap society. His pain was real and relatable. His new albums are definitely better lyrically, but his old ones still have that special place in my heart. I'd suggest listening to his song, "Let Me Go" from the search.
I have been a fan on NF since “mansion.” I heard Intro when it was first released and ever since that moment i have been on him through his whole journey. Every release every album. He has a special place in my heart and i feel like i have gone through his story with him so all his music touches me. I have to agree with you his old music, therapy session and perception along with some of mansion, are so deep to me because through how strong i have always been with him i feel like he helped me grow and understand who i am today. these past couple days ive been addicted and back to rewatching all the nf reactions i can. Hes great and so special to me. I love NF and i love your reactions TheThirdErnest if you happen to see this so many years later!
I've listened to dozens of reaction RUclipsrs (especially doing NF). I even made up a playlist of "FIRST ever hearing NF" reactions. What I have found is there are some good reaction channels and only a few great reaction channels. You are among the BEST out there. I love your insight, not just emotion, into the music and the videos. I can tell you are well educated and just want to say I appreciate your craft! Since you have been doing a few older NF tracks I'd love to hear your take on "Destiny" from Perception. Its one of his more aggressive songs...
Ill request Destiny soon if no one else of Patreon does and or if he hasn't done it yet. But that means it might still be a while away because he is still catching up on stuf and things like that. But I have it in mind.
All I have is what started my NF journey... this is my absolute favorite NF track along with oh lord... thanks for yet another killer reaction bro.. missed the green lights tho... #RealMusic #RealLifeHero #NF
Eyyy! Thanks for reacting to it! The editing frustrated me too in this song but I loved seeing how into the chorus he is at the end. You can feel his passion and it gives me chills every time. P.S. Yeah it was on Mansion but was first on his EP in 2014. Lil baby NF
Yeah Great request. I love this song. Out of all the NF songs this is one of my favorites to rap and sing along to because its just fun to share that kind of passion.
EP's and Albums: Nate independently released his debut album Moments (2010) under his real name. Nate signed with Xist in 2012 who just teased but did not release this EP., so he left them. Then he and producer Tommee Profitt released "I'm Free" EP - (2012) --- After signing with Capital in 2014 - "NF" EP (2014) included "All I Have" and "Wake Up." Nate's first full studio albums started with -1- Mansion (2015) it also included the songs "All I Have" and "Wake Up.", -2- Therapy Session (2016), -3- Perception (2017), and now -4- The Search (2019)
3rd E - You smacked me in the face with something you said in this reaction. When you were breaking down the "I'm Christian but I'm not perfect" line. You said "a lot of people judge who don't need to be judging-who are you to judge me because I sin differently than you" That hit home for me "because I sin differently than you. You still sin regardless" Because judgement is something I struggle with. Mainly because people make the choice to hurt those they love and choose to be selfish. It's a choice they make and I have a hard time getting past that - although I'm working on it. I really just wanted to tell you thank you for that smack in the face with what you said. I've never heard it put that way before. I love it when people are real (which is why I love NF) and your channel as well. Just wanted to thank you for the real harsh truth about that - it spoke to me.
This is from right when he was going from moments to mansion and really doing what he wanted. The song gives me goosebumps even though it’s so simple. I love his singing the couple of lines it it too. Glad you’re back and your brother is doing well!
This has always been one my favorites from NF. He is definitely an artist that can make you feel every line. So much passion! And I was waiting on your reaction to it. Thank you 😊👍
I haven't commented on your videos for a long time, but here I am! First, I hope that your brother is doing well, I'm glad he made it out! And second, I'd love to thank you and all the patreon subs for all the new music that you've introduced to us, I've not listened touch variety lately and I feel like I needed this. I don't have any right to do this request but I hope that you'll hear me out :D the next time you do NF, please do "breathe" and "lost in the moment" both at the same time. There's a reason why I'm making this request and I'm very confident that you will figure it out once you hear both songs together. Be well, bro!
Yo loved your intake. Came in listening to NF before The Search, instantly fell in love with his songs, Mansion, Thing Called Love and Can You Hold me, and this is only a small fraction of it. I can go on forever but love your vids and hope you continue doing you.
When he says "It's been a long time but I'm back now" he is talking about the before NF, when his artist name was Nate Feuerstein. That's when he came with the moments mixtape. Cheers from France for the great job ! Can't support with money but you are doing great.
This was the song that made me love NF. It felt raw and real (for a lack of better words). I am glad you liked this song. This is the song that I have an emotional connection with!
EA3.,you are definitely right in your analysis of this song. The part that makes this song powerful is I have no doubt that he meant it's all he has! The desperate emotions..raw and real. I connected to him. Light and Love to you my friend!!💞😀
I’m like you-I had heard several popular songs from NF but The Search was the one that hooked me! I do like his other albums but The Search is clearly his best work! Can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.
Like you the search was my introduction to NF but since then have listened to all of his music. I also like your reactions because you take the time to actually breakdown the music in your reactions, which is time consuming as all hell and its much appreciated.
This comment late but always enjoy the breakdowns. I can see what you're saying with this one (and your others). Only perspective I can add is that while the budget was obviously low and his abilities unrefined, NF videos definitely have to be taken in context. First album, one of the first videos, establishing his image to the public. I get the feeling that even if he did this one later in his career he would have chosen similar blank backdrop, reflecting the title by not giving you anything else to point to. No gimmicks. Again, appreciate your breakdowns. Didn't see it in the playlist but if you haven't checked out "Remember This", think you'd enjoy it. Keep it up.
I’m glad this one was requested, I was thinking about requesting it. I love the song and love his singing in it. It’s on a playlist for when I’m driving.
Before NF was signed and did Mansion, he had made an EP that he put out his self along with the song Wake up. Those two songs is what got him signed to Capital Records so those two were put on the Mansion album. I personally love this song, I love the tone in his voice when rapping. He still made me feel what he was saying by not being aggressive. I like the video too though but when he made it he obviously didn’t have the money to make a great video, he just wanted his point to be heard. Yes you can see here and his earlier songs and music videos, him trying to make a platform for himself as an artist, and yes he’s mastered it. He recently said in an interview that it’s hard for him to listen to his older songs because he would’ve done things a lot differently but that’s how you grow. I love his old stuff just as much as his new songs, and I’ve only been a fan since Perception. You should react to Let me go off the Search album!
Good reaction, as always. Love how you break down the actual bars, unlike other reaction channels. Also, enjoy your honesty. I have been following NF for 5 years and I can appreciate his earlier work since I have watched him grow, but I'm also conscious of how it would appear to someone who has just found him recently.
This was before Nate did hos own videos. This was record label standards and one of the reasons he fought to transition after mansion from Caotoak Christian to just Capital to complete his contract. You can tell on therapy session when Nate started taking over his videos. Great reaction as always!
love the reaction as always....dude has grown a ton, but this track is still in my personal top 5.....yes video was not the best, but I'm down with no hoodie/hat as he has in everything else. Chi-Town in the house......yes, and no green lights :( Keep it 100 Fam!
I know you’re trying to be the honest critic, but this is still one of my favorites from NF. I wasn’t along at the start of his ride, only about two years, but I can appreciate the rawness and emotion of the song without totally breaking it down in my mind. Sometimes you just have to enjoy the music for what it is.
Yeah that’s true and I appreciate people who love the song and I understand why! Just for me going from the search to this is almost night and day but I would have that same criticism for almost any artist and it’s not bad! If anything it’s good that you can hear someone evolve as they get older, wiser, and go through life.
That being said I like your breakdowns of NF’s tracks Ernest. As an older born again Christian I do have a vested interest in Nate as a person and an artist. He opens the door to a whole different audience that would never set foot in a church or even consider matters of faith. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving Ernest, and have a wonderful Christmas season. 😎
I know one artist you been sleepin on... yungblud! I suggest starting with "original me" official vid ft dan reynolds, lead singer of imagine dragons ...It's fucking lit!
I actually love Nate's singing voice. It isn't technically perfect but definitely better than just being able to "carry a tune". He is badass in my book! 🙌
Your nf reaction is my favorite nf reaction, thanks for this! Sometimes I don't understand everything that you say because I'm Russian lol, but I really like your thoughts! What about reaction on nothing, nowhere.? Maybe dread or skully. It's just my favorite three artists NF, twenty one pilots and nothing, nowhere. Maybe you will like n,n. too. Keep doing this, man, thank you
The "been at it for years" line is kinda like what he said in No Name. People think that once you get a record deal. You will blow up and that's not how it is.
NF just dropped another song today called Paid My Dues. It’s so good!!! You should react to it next. Btw, loving the channel! I’ve listened to a lot of people who react to music (especially rap) but I just feel like how you break down lyrics and the humor you mix in is really enjoyable. You have a gift! Love it!
Have you done real yet? That’s on perception but on the search I like nate, returns, options,no excuses and thinking. So I’m an Australian gal and I love your channel xx I do follow maybe 4 more channels not many but you are at the top forsure!
So I'm gonna stop your comments right there about the quality. Just because you have a certain standard in your head because you're not a day one fan, doesn't mean that this video didnt have insight or a meaning behind it. I'll break it down. 1. You get to see the real NF. That's his whole movement. 2. You see the passion behind those words. Listening to a song and seeing the song play out are to different things. 3. The empty room can be interpreted a lot of ways but I feel it represents the emptiness or loneliness he feels and he has to stand on his own at the end of the day. 4. The grainy footage can represent the grittyness and rawness of who he is and how he feels at times. You're right when you say that you're a spoiled fan. Think about his songs from mansion and on. I didn't fully understand this song when I first heard it(this was the first song I listened to when I started my journey of listenting to NF and his progression) but understanding the struggles he went through to get to this point helps understand and appreicate this song so much more. His passion is what drew me in even if I felt his lyrics weren't quite there. He wasn't trying to find his voice, his voice was and is his passion so to say that he was trying to find it, I felt you still have a lot to learn about NF and his style. Voice = Passion and the emotion he puts behind it. Thats his true voice.
This is the first album as NF. He had another album before that under his real name nate, I believe I was called moments and was a Christian music album.
My bad forgot the lights lol. They will be back next time!
TheThirdErnest haha it’s good and also some awesome songs from Nf to react to are know and Hate myself. If you get the time !
Stephen Nolan hate myself is sick!! Definitely a up there on The Search!
If you want to go way back in NF's catalogue, head back to his Moments album. It was released when he was still going by his full name instead of NF. Funnily enough, I enjoy the writing in Moments more than Therapy and Mansion, so I think you should check it out.
I was thinking to say that
Shame on you!!! ;-)
You sniff lines. I write lines. Nate is talking about how others cope vs how he copes
which is a bar!
@@dawnsays1907 "I never drink but I live in these bars"
Yeah he definitely missed this bar lol
Runyun Hyde its a corny bar tbh
Ahmed M'nari To you, maybe.
All I see is green lights oh wait um
😂😂😂
lol
Oops
Lol
Good one!!👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣
NF “PARALYZED”

Yep

I second Destiny^^
Man! That playlist which you made is awesome! I found there a great reaction channels because of you! Thanks 🙏
This is off mansion , he could be talking about the transition from moments to mansion
there was 5 years from moments to mansion, hence the lyric
All I have is what started my NF journey... this is my absolute favorite NF track along with oh lord... thanks for yet another killer reaction bro.. missed the green lights tho... #RealMusic #RealLifeHero #NF
True but I think the search was over done. Give me mansion and therapy session above the search all day.
@@kp-iv2mp I wouldn't consider it over done tbh, it's a product of pure growth for me and I love it
A classic I can play over and over.
Same
Eyyy! Thanks for reacting to it! The editing frustrated me too in this song but I loved seeing how into the chorus he is at the end. You can feel his passion and it gives me chills every time.

Ngl this is one of my fave NF songs from before The Search came out
This was the first NF song I ever heard a few years back and still one of my fav's!!!!
RIP Green Lights
But there where no green lights in this music video.
100% the best reaction channel at actually breaking down the bars! Mans a fkn genius takes me multiple hears to understand as well as you.
Dude you're so amazing and talented. Admittedly I usually only watch NF reacts but it shows you know a lot about life. Keep going bruhhhh.
One of the most underrated NF songs a grindin
This is one of my fav NF songs of all time, Top 3 on my listening list from when i started listening to NF✨🖤
yeah! where is da green background yo?
wait where is the green lights??

Nf Hate Myself everyone like this
so you want the song Hate Myself or the song Like This? ;) XD
This is one of my favorites from him, so much momentum!
Great reaction
I never noticed how great the second half of the song was. Thanks
This is actually the song that made me a fan!
The record deal line was very similar in No Name. I knew exactly what you were talking about when you said that!
Yo loved your intake. Came in listening to NF before The Search, instantly fell in love with his songs, Mansion, Thing Called Love and Can You Hold me, and this is only a small fraction of it. I can go on forever but love your vids and hope you continue doing you.

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES♥️ LOVE IT
This was the song that made me love NF. It felt raw and real (for a lack of better words).
I am glad you liked this song. This is the song that I have an emotional connection with!
You got BY FAR the best breakdowns on YT hands down
Your in dept analysis after only hearing and seeing as the vid goes, comes so natural for you.

This song is when I became a fan of NF. Just before Mansion came out. Man time flies
My #1 favorite NF song
Gotta crawl before you can walk
Really would like to see him perform at the Grammys....would send a unique message about what true artistism is.
I've been an NF fanatic from when this song popped up first under "NF" don't regret a single moment since then 🙏🏻
This comment late but always enjoy the breakdowns.

It's my favorite songs ,nf fire .....real music
NF is amazing!!!!!!
excellent breakdown, I also appreciate your manners with the break down.....

Haven't watched the video yet but already excited this it's my favorite song by him!
NF - Warm Up 🔥
What up NF family
It's almost like he's talking to capitol at times in this song.
About time all I have❤
Good reaction, as always.
LET ME GO BY NF!!!!!!!!!!!
Similar line with the "record deal" is in "When I Grow Up":
When I grow up,
I just wanna sign a record deal,
maybe buy a house up in the hills
I think like all of us Nate would look back at his old work and do some things differently, but it’s still fire 🔥
Glad you are back !! You should check out NF - Warm Up... you will love it!!!
Finally funny that this song is so old but this has been one of my favorite songs from when I first heard it
He quit rapping for a while (I’m not sure how long) and was an electrician. When he wrote this song he was doing both, working and rapping
The best before this is " Invisible " and " That's Alright " off the album with the 'tie and vest' on the cover. Really good stuff! Very enlightening.
love the reactions you do 😄
I think that the white background and simple music video was somewhat purposeful. It's all he has just like the song says
This is top 5 for me
For the memories
😓
Another great reaction. #NFRealMusic
the reason why capitol logo is in it, is because this was basically the announcement of him being signed.
love the reaction as always....dude has grown a ton, but this track is still in my personal top 5.....yes video was not the best, but I'm down with no hoodie/hat as he has in everything else. Chi-Town in the house......yes, and no green lights :( Keep it 100 Fam!
Love this song and video 😉 ❤ more NF and more TØP 💛🌻
i liked it being a video because you could SEE his emotion and passion rather than just hear it.
Totally love your mentality.
I know you’re trying to be the honest critic, but this is still one of my favorites from NF. I wasn’t along at the start of his ride, only about two years, but I can appreciate the rawness and emotion of the song without totally breaking it down in my mind. I know one artist you been sleepin on... yungblud! I suggest starting with "original me" official vid ft dan reynolds, lead singer of imagine dragons ...It's fucking lit!
YES Yungblud is amazing
This came out right before his Mansion album, which is the first one that really took off
NF DROPPING A NEW TRACK TODAY!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You know, it’s been a while since I saw a Witt Lowry reaction
Notebook one of my faves next to this song
I actually love Nate's singing voice. It isn't technically perfect but definitely better than just being able to "carry a tune". He is badass in my book! 🙌
Your nf reaction is my favorite nf reaction, thanks for this! Sometimes I don't understand everything that you say because I'm Russian lol, but I really like your thoughts! I swore i remeber you did this song already......
Damn notifications are messing up...I was NOT notified of this 😡
I’d love to see your reaction to Know! I love all your reactions, but especially to NF!
Underrated reactor by far.
NF know next pls
you should watch the video where he was performing for the record label
This is in my top 3 from Nate!
NF one hundred next pleaseee
So I'm gonna stop your comments right there about the quality. Just because you have a certain standard in your head because you're not a day one fan, doesn't mean that this video didnt have insight or a meaning behind it. I'll break it down.

Old NF 🔥🔥 New NF 🔥🔥
Came out before Mansion on NF EP, but he put it on Mansion
I LOVE HOW YOU BREAKDOWN MAN
This is the first album as NF. He had another album before that under his real name nate, I believe I was called moments and was a Christian music album.
Freaks and geeks by childish would be hilarious to watch you break down!😂
Still waiting for that "Best Friend" breakdown bro. Just dropping my monthly request/reminder.
Outcast isn't an album, Outcast is the 2nd song on album 3 Perception
The video is also a representation of him only having the room and the mike.
