Wow-- 4 comments in as many years! Oh well.. I'm here because I just played a solo jazz guitar gig at a retirement facility and one of the residents came up to me and told me I sound like Mottola. Of course, what a compliment! I was aware of him as an eclectic player and a virtuoso (listening to "beautiful music" radio stations as a kid) but hadn't heard anything by him in years, so I decided to start checking out these old LP's.. Also of note is that the accordionist on here, Charles Magnante, had a (less famous) brother named John, who was my accordion teacher on Long Island in my early musical years (I started on accordion in the '70s when accordion was "cool", then sax for 35 years, jazz guitar the past 7 or 8...)

Thanks for the extra information. I really thought the musicianship on this album was amazing which is why I added it to my channel.

Yup, it's a great album. Too bad it was never released on CD.
