I had a false conversion at 12 years old. I heard a sermon on how terrible hell is. I was scared so went down and said the sinners prayer. I did not realize until two years later that I had not met Jesus. At a district wide youth meeting as I listened to the preacher I felt overpowering conviction. When the invitation to come forward was announced I ran to the preacher gushing with tears. This time I poured my heart out to God to forgive me for my wretchedness. I surrendered my life that night. What a joy flooded my being! I knew I was forgiven. My Life was totally changed. I had met Jesus and could not stop telling others about Him! Thank you Jesus!
People who condemn works in the life of a saint in light, condemns obedience to the faith; and they are in darkness. Our works are not of ourselves, but of God through our submitting unto his will . Every one of us, believers and unbelievers alike, will be judged according to our works in the day of the Lord. We better wake up to the fact that works, whether good or evil, will be judged.
It actually easy believism the sinners prayer, it’s not biblical, Jesus never said pray this prayer after me and you’ll be saved. We need to hold to Lordship salvation, recognise we’re sinners and in desperate need of a saviour and cry out for mercy and repent.
@@clarkemcclymont2879cry out and repent is literally the same thing as praying and asking his Holy Spirit to live inside yourself though. We cannot see each others hearts so we don’t know for sure who is of God only God can see the heart but we can see the fruit they bear. Sanctification happens through your all our life but salvation happens at the moment of faith in Jesus.
god forgives only those who repent of their sins, 2 Corinthians 7:10, godly grief produces a repentance that led to salvation 1 John 1:9, if we confess our sin, he..will forgive our sins, our lord obviously has not forgiven and will not forgive the souls in hell right now for the simple reason that they did not ask for forgiveness, this seems as clear as clear can be, the question is, are we required to do more than god does when it comes to forgiveness? Jesus seems to answer for us in Luke 17:3-4, if your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in a day, and turns to you seven times, and says, “I Repent,” you must forgive him, according to this text, and as we would suspect, Jesus requires his followers to forgive only those who are sorry for their offenses, just as god does, and this only make sense, Colossians 3:13, says we are to called to forgive each other “as the lord has forgiven us,” some will say at this point, “didn’t Jesus forgive everyone from the cross when he said, “forgive them, for they know not what they do” in Luke 23:34, actually, he didn’t, he petitioned the father for those who had beaten and crucified him to be forgiven, revealing his will that “all men..be saved” 1 Timothy 2:4, but this was not a declaration that even these men were actually forgiven, much less a declaration that he was forgiving everyone for all time, we have to distinguish between our calling to forgive those who are sorry and ask for forgiveness and our call to love everyone without exception, including those who have wronged us and are not sorry that they did, sometimes these two concepts are conflated, St.Thomas aquinas tells us love is “willing the good of the others” selflessly ( see also 1 Corinthians 13:5 ),in a sense, this is all god can do, because “god is love” 1 John 4:8.
Amen and HalleluYah!! You said it perfect my dear brother! I am so blessed to have you as a professing Christian who knows the truth in the word and are a doer not just a hearer! May God bless you more!! You are in my prayers! ❤😊
Well said Matt , really good explanation and supported biblical answers. You can’t change what it says in the word to suit what you want. It is either truth or it isn’t. Amen !
Beautifully put, dear brother. I also like all the pastors you mentioned. As a side note, having spent decades with Christians who teach a OSA saved gospel, I have noted that many seem to be lax in the area of righteous living. I remember years ago David Wilkerson preaching a sermon on the idol of T.V. Oh boy, did that get the OSA saved crowd fired up (in a bad way haha). They cried; "legalism!" even back then. Keep preaching the truth, Matt. God will reward.
Hi Matt Spot on in answering that person with the scriptures. Brilliantly explained. Love your understanding of the Bible and you are able to back up not with your own beliefs but the exact meaning of scripture. Love your passion, and knowledge of the word of Jesus Christ. 🙏❤️
Jesus Christ (The Eternally Existing Son of God, God The Son, Savior, Christ) promises eternal life ONCE you believe on him alone, he died for your sins, was buried, and rose again 3rd day! Once Saved Always Saved! You can't lose salvation. Matthew 7:21 KJV: 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the WILL OF MY FATHER which is in heaven. John 6:40 KJV: 40 And this is the WILL OF HIM that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and BELIEVETH ON HIM, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
This is exactly the source of the whole mess in this world nowadays, in my opinion. The "lightness" of the teaching has taken out the real substance of the gospel. However, it is NOT the only source of problems. It also depends on the intent of each believer, their knowledge and willingness to grow. As there are different backgrounds, the invitation to get to know Christ comes from the love itself, most of the time that I knew. Moreover, there has to be the willingness to grow to reach the life transformation in Him. This requires lots of self reflections, prayers, and resources to help you "grow". As always, you can know the tree by its fruit. Agree with you, it's not enough to just proclaim God's love. We must deliver the whole message in the Bible, so that it is not misunderstood or misused. Thank you for the insightful sharing, Matt. God bless you 🙏🏻🎉
AMEN! Spot on! There are many false converts with false assurance. - - Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. - -
Thank you so much for these much needed clarifying videos that preach the true Gospel. There is so much deception in the churches today (sign of the time being short). BTW, is there any way you can put the scripture references you use on the screen or in the description? I would love to be able to easily look them up and study further. God Bless you and your ministry!! ❤
I don’t edit these videos, but I could probably put the verses in the description 😃 (often I don’t even write a description though!!) I do usually say which verses they are, so you can write them down also.
Yes, I agree with you. It is written in James 2:14 Faith without works is dead. Being truly saved is evident by our actions. We cannot be saved and still intentionally live like the devil. Works doesn't save our souls, yet we are known by our fruits. The Holy Spirit transforms us by the renewing of our minds and the purifying of our hearts. Yes, to be totally without sin may be challenging, but we are called to live a life of righteousness and obedience to God. He understands that we may fall, however, through conviction we ask for forgiveness. Jesus told the prostitute " Your sins are forgiven, yet, sin no more." Once saved always saved cannot be because intentional and continual sin separates us from God. God is love, but He's also holy. He gave us commandments to follow not because He's controlling, but rather because He wants us to steer clear of such things that lead to destruction, to death. To he truly saved is going through a process of transformation and sanctification. We must be sensitive to sin, to hate what God hates...which is sin. And to love what God loves. Through trials, affliction, tests we are going through the fires so that we may be refined. He begins to cut off what is sinful in us. The reason many experience longer trials or tests is because we can't get out of the wilderness. And remember, on top of that you are spiritually attacked. Jesus said that we must be careful of being decieved and distracted because even the very elect can fall....or rather sin or lose one's salvation should we never repent. Christian life is challenging so our relationship to Jesus is crucial. Faith is not just believing that Jesus paid your sins and it's done nothing else required? But we live in a fallen world and satan is the ruler of earth. His agents are working full-time to find an open door, a vulnerable area in your life where they can enter and bring your downfall. Even a toe hold is enough for the devil to implement his schemes and tactics against you. Which is where faith also comes in. Faith in God's promises to overcome temptation, to be protected by the enemy, etc. Being saved and staying saved becomes a way of life. Using God's Word as a moral compass and doing God's Word keeps you in the right path. Seek Him first in all things, yield to His authority in all things, abide in Him and His hands will always be working in your life, your mind, and your heart to become who you were meant to be in Jesus...and that's to be like Him.
The problem is that when we receive the Holy Spirit and walk in truth our eyes are opened to the truth in the word; if we fall into sin after this our growth stops, our eyes are closed again even though we received the gift of salvation! Many are called but few enter in; with no growth in the word by obedience we understand the word in the fleshly mind because of sin! Lukewarm.
You are right I have been trying to preach this for years nobody wants to hear it if I say anything about this to other RUclipsrs when I share verses with them but they don't agree with play just ignore me cuz they cannot accept the truth and it's very sad people want to live in the flesh they want to please the flesh they want to continue in their sin and still expect to be saved and I don't know how to get in this biblically absolutely doesn't work like that it scares me how the devil is deceiving like this I will give you another verse I'm not sure if you know this verse three Titus 2 it tells you exactly what Grace is when I show people this verse I don't hear from them again these RUclips preachers preach but but they have no idea what it means that's the disturbing part means god changes you he changes your heart you do not sin anymore but it's taken out of context and people think that Grace means you can continue to sin just repent and you can do it again and just repent again can you continue this for all of your life which obviously means you're not serious so why would you be forgiven people like to throw the word Works in there I give you Titus 2 because it explains that we need works as well to go with faith without works faith is dead you need the works to go with the faith can't have one without the other people just cannot accept us because they are so deceived keep up the good work we have a big battle on our hands the devil is not going to give up without a fight so let's give him the fight that he is going to lose with Lord Jesus on our side!!!
If we read the story of the tax collector in Luke 18:9-14, it's clear that he felt conviction over his sin and he asked God to forgive him in response (Luke 18:13) and Jesus that said that he was justified in doing so (Luke 18:14), so he was obviously penitent over his sin, which lead to him receiving God's salvation. To say that a person can accept Christ as a way to carry on sinning and use grace as a get out of hell jail free card, then that person is obviously not regenerate. According to Jude in Jude 1:4, false teachers use grace as a license to commit immorality and they do not have the Spirit in Jude 1:19, which according to Paul in Romans 8:9, means that you do not belong to Christ.
I agree 100% with what you said in your response, but you didn't really communicate that in your message. I am afraid that if some who may see this video, but also see the sin nature remaining in their lives with all its bumps and falls along the way may become discouraged and lose hope. That is definitely not what Christ is after. Let's crucify the flesh but, the Believers sinless perfection will only be seen at the rapture, and we are given our white robes. I love you Matt, keep up the great work. Tom
Thanks Tom. That’s why I mentioned at the end of the Lukewarm Christian video, that if the person watching is someone who has fallen, and desires to come to God, to click on the video on the screen (it takes them to the video about God forgiving repetitive sin). One person watched the Lukewarm Christian video, then went across to the other video, and said he was in tears, and it was exactly what he needed. I try to link videos to lead the right people to the right messages, because it’s impossible to communicate it all in one video!!
Perfect obedience is impossible. We all fail many times. But the difference with a believer is that they have a sorrow for sin, a conviction, and repentant heart. We turn back to God, and look to his finished work!! (And his grace to help us live as he desires, out of love for him) The fact that you feel concerned, is a good sign. @@freshliving4199 from 2011 al that happened was I desired to know about Jesus and I got and read the bible and I went to church and listened to Christian music.
They don't have knowledge of truth either being a baby Christian or not having the Holy Spirit, it's a growing experience if we're sincere. If they have the Holy Spirit, and keep crying out, they'll finally come to truth! I've noticed the greatest problem in this, they where lead by them that haven't matured and became perfect in understanding!
When Jesus was dying on the cross, one of the two who was also crucified (robber?) was promised heaven that day. No sermon or works was attached to that promise, just belief that he was the Messiah - along those words anyway.
He 'demonstrated' his faith (works) by verbally standing up to the other guy on the cross, rebuking him, "do you not fear God...we are receiving the just due of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong"
Easily answered. That robber had the transformation of heart that would have seen changes in his life has he lived beyond that. Anyone who even poses this example, doesn’t understand the position I’m teaching in this video.
@@lionoffireraw Sorry, I did a poor job of commenting I was trying to point out that it is clear what you need to do to be saved (he was not a Christian, baptized or born again by church/community definition) and yet promised heaven in that short space of time. I think your argument here being for those of us that live longer than the robber ofwhat we need to be or keep on doing to remain saved (the space of carrying out 10 murders, 10 sins of sorts.). You know the Bible, I am very new to this, I don't even understand what works are to be honest. Are there examples (parables/stories) that talk about people saved and then turn away and go to hell? I would be keen to read those now. Cheers.
We are saved by grace alone through faith alone, but there is evidence of true faith! Works do not contribute to salvation at all (Eph 2:8-9). This is a doctrine that the Catholics have heretically wrong!!! Salvation by faith PLUS WORKS (Counsel of Trent - 1545 to 1563 ⬇️ During the the sixth session, the Council issued a decree saying that, “If any one saith, that the justice received is not preserved and also increased before God through good works; but that the said works are merely the fruits and signs of Justification obtained, but not a cause of the increase thereof; let him be anathema.” That’s just rank heresy!! Crazy!!
@@lionoffireraw Do you believe your future sins are forgiven, even before you commit them ? What about the works we are commanded to do by Christ for our salvation ?
@@aussierob7177 John 6:29 Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” All your sins are forgiven, past, present, future. You’re imputed with the righteousness of Christ, your sins are imputed to Him.
I think all questions can be erased if you go with the root of what determines the difference between being saved and not saved. It is a question of, do you hate your sins? Do you want to be saved. Yes is the deciding factor but the issue from there is, 99.9 % live on their flesh and works not taught the next steps of walking in salvation knowing that they are now in Christ with a new identity and not living through the spirit as you mentioned in a powerful video on how to walk in the power of the HS
This is what I believe: If a person has truly repented and born again and accepted Jesus as a personal saviour, then that person can't be unborn* or be lost from the hands of Jesus. If a person "backslides" forever, then he/she was actually never a true christian or born again because Jesus cannot loose a single one of us.
@@wonderful-wafwaffalse professors. An apostate is someone who professes Christ and then leaves the faith. Not someone who’s actually regenerate and then falls again, since Christ says He loses none of which are given to Him.
What about sanctification. What about the apostle Paul? "For the good that i will to do, i do not do, but the evil i will not to do, that i practice". Romas 7:19 W for fear we f must not go to far to the left or too far to the right.for fear we wander off the path into the ditch.
100%. This video is simply pointing out that there will be transformation in the life of anyone who is born again. The point is that if someone is continuing in defiant, unconvicted, unrepentant sin, they are not of God. This is very different to, if someone is struggling with sin, but they desperately want to be free. They feel conviction, they feel sorrowful, but they are struggling in the battle.
My husband saw me born again and faked he is also. Now he lives with another... And that's not the worst. I guess I'll have to invite him to church... Then God will make me a widow. If I love. Otherwise I'm like him... And on hard days I am. Path is so narrow. And we ALL doesn't like to lose control of our own life. It's like someone is ripping out my flesh.
Someone who lives like the devil is a lukewarm one who becomes carnally minded and they become the word apostate an apostate is someone who becomes lost one can only live like the tempter himself by becoming lost but a believer who becomes found doesn't live like him at all personally if it can be tempted with an unbeliever it can certainly be tempted even with a believer that is spiritual also known as born again. Galatians 6:1 Brethren if a man be overtaken in a fault ye which are spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of meekness considering thyself lest thou also be tempted. And its not a lie to say we all did become corrupted by the fall of man. Which is why God in Grace came to give Salvation to save us from our sins. Its no wonder why indoctrination leads to corruption and apostasy.
Regardless of how we live, Jesus lived and walked perfectly for us (1 Peter 1;17-20), we are imputed his righteousness (Romans 4:22-25), given the free gift of salvation through God's grace (Ephesians 2:8-9), given eternal joy (not just temporary happiness) true BLISS, fellowship with God, (ISAIAH 52:11, better understanding of his creation (Ephesians 2:6-7) and freely rewarded with the kingdom of God. (Galatians 3:17-29) Through Jesus alone, (Rev 1:6) we gain the inheritance promised to the seed of Abraham by God not by any work we do.(Romans 4:4-8) Rejoice and rest in the messiah live your life by faith, by liberation of the law( 2nd Corinthians 5:7) GOD BLESS!
@@lionoffirerawhow transformed must one become. Also, why does scripture use the words FREE GIFT? John’s gospel only uses the word believe to be saved. Don’t recall him telling people their life must be transformed to be saved. A free gift is given freely, no? Quit complicating the Gospel!! ❤
@RickZolaBuckeyeBeliever it’s not a matter of how transformed. That question misses the point. It IS a free gift. One simply receives it by faith. As we do, God transforms us in the born again experience. Your the one complicating a plain biblical truth!
You are right Matt, but what If I have strong desire to read the word, to pray but I don't have strong conviction of sin?? I prayed God gives me strong conviction of sins to fully repent and how He sees it.But I can't comprehend it. Am I a Christian?
The fact that you are desiring a strong conviction for sin, shows the work of the Holy Spirit in you. You are DESIRING conviction for sin. Praise God!!
Brother Matt, I sent you a message about the video you did about Trump, I cannot find that video. Have you taken it down or am I just missing it? Thank you
The truest way to say it is that Jesus is Lord of the saved. When preaching Him evangelistically, we must tell others that He is Lord God Incarnate, but we cannot tell unbelievers to commit themselves to His Lordship. They don't have the ability to do so. We must preach Christ crucified, explain what this means, and urge others to believe in Him. If they do, they will find that they have acquired a Lord. I think you're mixing up some Biblical ideas which concern specifically Israel, but overall, you are right.
We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone. When a person exercises true saving faith, they are born again. When a person is born again, this produces a transformation. The works that come from this transformation are NOT meritorious of salvation in ANY way, but rather are the evidence of the born-again experience. This is the gospel of grace alone.
@@lionoffireraw my cousin will be in his huge non-denominational church in Franklin, TN, one of the wealthiest zip codes in America, this Sunday, an esteemed Elder and a total b*st*rd. I think he believes he's saved. As you know, the Bible links insanity to evil, and I've come to believe he is genuinely insane. Over a decade ago, I told him I thought he was close to being as lunatic as Nebuchadnezzar. He reminded me of this recently, and gloated about how wrong I was. The measure of his estrangement from God is that he has no clue that there is anything wrong with him. The true insanity is not to realize that you're insane.
When Jesus delivered the man full of demons, afterward, the man asked to follow Jesus. Jesus told the man No and was told to return to his family. Every single one of us in Christ are to have the same mind, BUT we are not going to have the same relationship. It's like marriages. No two marriages are the same, BUT there are similarities.
@jonadams-gs7rl every single one of us in Christ ARE following the Lord. I'm simply saying that we all will have different roles. We all are to be like-minded, which means we all share in the knowledge of Jesus that he revealed to the Apostle Paul. Some followers are called to minister in different countries, but most aren't. If you have a relationship with Jesus, the Holy Spirit will lead you in what you are supposed to be doing. I'm just a simple wife and a stay at home, homeschooling mom of three. I'm trying my best to serve my husband and evangelize my children to the best of my ability. I have not been called to anything else. That's what I'm saying. It's simple. We are called to do different things. Only the evil principalities that be want to complicate everything. Paul said to be content in whatever place you find yourself. That can be a struggle in and of itself sometimes. Find peace in Christ and be content.

@@lionoffireraw These vids have taken the load off. You have articulated this so well that feelings resonated before the brain could intellectualize that I was on the right track. Amazing. Thank you.
You are preaching works, no two ways around the issue. If works do NOT Justify us (Romans 4:3-10) and do NOT perfect us (Gal. 3:1-4) HOW are they evidence of salvation? Works are evidence of our reasonable service (Romans 12:1-3) or discipleship, maturity and discernment. Either you trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for your sins, or you trust something else. Trusting in a "changed life" or your good works will land you in Hell. Read Romans Chapter 7 and reference with 1 John 1:8 and 1 John 3:9. First and foremost, you are saved by the gospel found in 1 Cor. 15:1-4 and Rom. 3:20-28. A man is sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. He receives the Holy Spirit after trusting the gospel. Salvation is a FREE GIFT. A man IF he is Justified is PREDESTINED to be glorified, adopted as a son at the RAPTURE, because flesh and blood CANNOT inherit the Kingdom (1 Cor. 15:49-53). A Christian is commanded by Paul to study the scriptures, by rightly dividing them, as he did with Genesis Chapter 17. If you think that "faith without works is dead" as many heretics do, notice that in Romans Chapter 4 Paul likens our Justification to Abraham's in UNCIRCUMCISION (Romans 4:10). He then explains that this applies to US AS WELL (Romans 4:16-25). Abraham was reckoned righteousness/Justified by faith AND WORKS in James 2:21-24. Abraham offered Isaac in GEnesis Ch. 22. Abraham was CIRCUMCISED in Genesis Ch. 17. PAUL states that Abraham was Justified LIKE WE ARE TODAY by faith, NO WORKS. ROMANS 4:10 *How was it then reckoned?* when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, *but in uncircumcision.* Abraham was CIRCUMCISED IN GENESIS CHATER 17! If you are wondering HOW Abraham was Justified by faith WITHOUT WORKS read Genesis 15:1-6. The asinine examples of some Christian committing murder every day for ten years, rape, et. all is a foolish argument. Do you know anybody that does this? NONSENSE. How do you tell who is saved and who is a faker? Ask them WHAT and WHO they are trusting in for their salvation: If they trust the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for their sins and the BLOOD shed at Calvary they are saved. If they go to Church, quit smoking, drugs, fornication, are "model" citizens, have a seminary degree, do wonderful works, YET are trusting in their works instead of God's work in His earthly ministry and sacrifice, they are LOST. They are trusting in themselves, and have not submitted to the righteousness of Christ like the Judaizers. In the parable of the wheat and the tares, the householder tells the servants to NOT gather the tares unless the wheat is rooted up with them. They are virtually indistinguishable from one another. Lastly Ravenhill, Saul Washer, MacArthur are no examples of sound doctrine. Same goes with the "church fathers." The Church fathers WROTE scripture: Matthew John Mark Luke John Zebedee James Zebedee Jude Paul Peter
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone. When one exercises this saving faith, they are born again. This born-again experience produces transformation. This biblical truth is as clear as “water is wet.” It’s what the early church fathers believed, who were taught DIRECTLY by the apostles (who wrote the NT). The Bible is clear. Sadly this “cheap grace” doctrine is simply another recent invention, just like JW or Mormonism. I guess it’s conditioning that gets people believing this, and cognitive dissonance that keeps people believing it! I’ll trust the Bible, the authors of the Bible, and the early church fathers who were taught directly by them, over some person in the comment section on the internet. I genuinely hope you come to a knowledge of the truth! This is my final reply!
On Judgement Day, I am of the impression that God can say ;I do not know you'. I wonder if that is tied into the 10 commandments, how you live life and believing in him and Jesus Christ sacrificing his life for us - or not?
God says depart from me I never knew you because the servants were completely focused on their works and law obedience and didn't want to trust in what Jesus did, they did many things in Christ's name to gain salvation but were completely wrong. The Bible is to remind us of our sin and following the laws were before Christ and we are after Christ, you are saved by solely putting your faith in Jesus
@@jonadams-gs7rl Thank you for explaining. It is a comprehensive book with much to learn and currently in my first speed read just to come to grips with the language and terms. I understood that BC was only following the commandments, but nobody could achieve this and so Jesus came. But I understand, we are to still follow the commandments as best we can, but with faith as you say.
@@jonadams-gs7rl I am in a speed read of the Bible, listening to content such as on this channel, research, analysis and thinking. My answer today is vastly different to two days ago thanks to Matt. As a newbie, it has been extremely confusing to navigate. Terminology is one thing (born again, baptism), but human interpretation is another. Although my understanding will evolve as I refine, at this moment I would say... Prior to the Jesus under the OT, sacrificing blood and the 10 commandments were the criteria, but nobody could do it and be saved. Then Jesus sacrificed himself, shed his blood to carry our sins. So, all we need to do is believe with our hearts and have faith. Then as I did without realizing, understood the changing baselines of humanity - and whilst I may personally have considered myself a pretty good person, realised by God's standards that I am an unworthy sinner to be accepted into heaven and repent from the heart. Then, follow and live the teachings of the Bible including the commandments as best we can. I understand (not yet in practice) to develop a relationship with Christ - through prayer, reading the Bible and repenting when falling off the path. Your comments will be appreciated.
Hi bro, I understand what you are saying and do to a certain extent agree with you, however there are somethings you are saying that are just a little bit confusing. 1) You say lukewarm Christians are unbelievers, they are either christians or not... 2) 1John to follow His commands, John a few verses later tells us the NT commands- believe on Jesus and love one another... 3) Hebrews 10 is directed at hebrews who had tasted Jesus but not put faith in Him and were going back to the temple( not born again), so wrong context for your argument... 4) There is no way to quantify a inderviduals behaviour, and God's word never quantifies how much sin is to much, or what amount of good works we should preform to prove our salvation...And although I totally agree that a christian as they are a child of the light shoukd walk in the light as we are continually exhorted to in scripture, it disn't always happen. Which brings me to the bext point. 5) The reason there are so many exhortations and corrections in scripture is because of that very reason- Christians can still behave carnaly as we see the corinthian love feasts, the guy who was sleeping with his step mother, thise christians who were suing one another, some were lazy and not working...Many more examples, ( as you wanted) of christians not hitting the mark... I think you do a great job on your channels, not tearing you down bro, just a friendly nudge toward a possabke correction. The moment we start using subjective experience instead of objrctive truth in context, we are off base... The gospel of John makes it abundantly ckear that anyone who believes on the Lord Jesus will be saved, full stop... Hope this finds you well bro.. P.s. If your interested I have teaching on this subject on my channel called " Behaviour is not your Saviour"... Blessings, Brett...😎😎😎
Thank you for taking the time to write that. Jesus saves. Period. Amen 🙏 Thankfully we are also transformed when we are born again, and given the Spirit of conviction. 1. They are those who profess Christ, but are unsaved (deceived/false conversion). 2. If we truly believe on Jesus, we will experience the change mentioned in 1 John 2 & 3. 3. He mentions people who have been “sanctified by the blood of Christ.” This is clear terminology. 4. You’re correct. We cannot know exactly, but the point is that if a person is living in defiant sin, without conviction or repentance, then they are not of God. God will ultimately judge who that is (although we are left with clues). 5. These aren’t just warnings about behaviour, but about implications (ie. that those people are not in Christ)
Yes, I see what you are saying bro, some profess Christ but are not possessed by Christ. I guess what I am trying to relay is, if you have had a clear revelation that you are a sinner and are under the wtath of God and therefor have put faith in Christ's finished work on the cross to save you, then you are 100% saved, works or no works.... I urge you to re- read Heb 10, as sin willfuly is a reference to the sin of unbelief. The blood that sanctifies him, is in a general sense to jews, not indervidual specific, and a few verses again in 39 he says we are not of those who draw back. You see, if this is directed to born again believers, then this means they can loose their salvation in the context of how it is written, which is impossible for a born again believer... As I said, there are many examples of carnal christians, and we have to be careful about being fruit inspectors... And I totally agree we are ment to change, but it dosn't always happen in our time frame and how do we know if a person is struggling or not??? A good friend of mine has been a born again believer for a very long time, however up until only 4 years ago, he was an acaholic. If you knew him when he was stuck in that sin, you would say he was a false convert, if you knew him now you would say he is a true christian, can you see how easily we can make false assumptions once we start relying on expearince... We are all be transformed yes, however its incrementally different for all of us. And yes my mate struggled the whole time he was stuck in that sin... Bless ya mate...😊
P.s. bro I'm all for christians being transformed I personaly had a radical tranformation 12 years ago( huge, would like to share it with you sometime), but I still battle with issues and its only by the grace od God that I am anything... So dont disagree with your post, just some of its explanations are a bit confusing...😊
This is one of those paradoxes in the Bible. I can understand how if someone holds to OSAS, they will interpret Hebrews that way. But that’s reading theology into the text. I see no way around the terminology “sanctified by the blood of Christ/covenant.” There is just no way that that can refer to an unbeliever imo! I wouldn’t automatically say that your mate was a false convert. That’s not what I’m saying at all. The main point of what I’m saying is that the false converts are those who do not even have a conviction for sin, nor any desire to repent of it. That’s one of the key distinctions. I’m not trying to make any judgement about any specific situation, but rather highlighting that the Bible clearly teaches that there will be some form of evidence of a transformed life in a believer! I appreciate the discussion.
Obedience is must but a perfect obedience is something I just fail miserably & I believe Salvation is based on the obedience of Christ which makes him our SAVIOR because we can’t save ourselves. That’s why I left my Buddhist faith & I trust in what Christ did for me. However a transformation of some level must be evident in a believer & we cannot live ashamed of Christ. Even the thief on the cross stood up for Christ and did the right thing in boldness. We can’t live in the Same lifestyle as before if we love the lord 🙏
Perfect obedience is impossible. We all fail many times. But the difference with a believer is that they have a sorrow for sin, a conviction, and repentant heart. We turn back to God, and look to his finished work!! (And his grace to help us live as he desires, out of love for him)
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Justification by Faith 21¶But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
You really ought to study better 1 John 3:9. Use a concordance. The kjv is "cannot sin" the concordance translate cannot to it is impossible to sin. The reason is John is speaking about our new nature or spirit that cannot commit sin. Perfect example od we cannot look to our actions to wheather we are saved or not, we have to look to the object of our faith Jesus. I would argue that I sin less then you do. Rom 14 states anything not done in faith is a sin. You apparently count on you fleshly thinking and actions, or lack there of to prove to yourself and others your faith. (God doesn't need proof btw) I on the other hand simply believe. I therfore am able to continually walk in the spirit,(believing and trusting in Jesus) no matter what. No matter is I "sinned" in the flesh, I still believe What Jesus promised for me, despite of me at times. That my friend is what is pleasing to God, not this self righteous teachings that is being pushed on others. It is the power of GOD that saves us. And we must just believe that innorder to be saved. If you think its anything more, if you add any if ands or buts to that then you really havnt put your trust in Jesus ,but in yourself.
It does not say by faith alone in Eph 2:8-9, there is only one scripture that mentions Faith Alone and that is in James 2 and it says not by faith alone. So, you do not believe in repentance? confession? Baptism? calling on the name of the Lord? We are saved by faith, a obedient faith not a dead one and we are saved by faith when we are baptized into Christ, Gal 3:26-27. In Col 2:12-14 it says that we are buried with Jesus in baptism and raised with him THROUGH FAITH in the working of God...what is the work that God does? it says, " GOD MADE ALIVE TOGETHER WITH HIM, HAVING FORGIVEN US ALL OUR TRESSPASSES"... Did you notice the word "ALIVE"? Romans 6, talking about baptism, v11 " consider yourselves dead to sin and ALIVE TO GOD...." . Now notice Eph 2:1 " And you he made ALIVE when you were dead through the trespasses and sins.....v5 " even when we were dead through our trespasses, MADE US ALIVE together with Christ...". We are made "ALIVE" when we are baptized into Christ, when we PUT ON CHRIST. Gal 3:26-27, Col 2:12-14 and Romans 6
@@lionoffireraw so is baptism, it is called the law of faith Romans 3:27, but can a person have faith and not repent? That would be faith alone.....can the demons be saved since they have faith? Remember Legion? in Mark 5, Legion saw Jesus from afar and ran to Jesus and fell down and worshipped Jesus, was Legion saved? he believed and worshipped....as I said, we are saved by faith, an obedient faith, not a dead faith and saved by faith when we are baptized into Christ. It is not at the point of faith and you added the word "alone" in Eph 2, it is not there.
Couple things: 1. 95% of people who oppose Biblical soteriology do so because they are TRYING to deceive themselves (they know, instinctively, that they cannot deceive Almighty God, which is why upon examination of their lives, they do NOT have REAL peace by the way) and CLING to some particular sin: usually sexual, prideful or doubting in nature. They want "Christ" (notice in quotes) PLUS Satan. A servant cannot have two masters. That was precisely the Lord's rebuke of the churches (except Philadelphia) in Revelation. So, please do NOT let them deceive you with bombastic speech and seemingly "noble" crusades against LEGALISM. It's a sham. Legalism and antinomianism are cut from the same filthy rag, i.e. ME (either my works or my unsurrendered sin) rather than God. Mat 7: 21 - 23 SHOULD, and hopefully will, by the Spirit's work, SCARE them to DEATH. 2. IGNORE them. Do not cast your pearls before swine or attempt to reason with a fool, lest you be like him! Test the spirits, dear brother. But, by ALL means, KEEP THIS GOING!!! Win this war one inch of beach, one viewer at a time, in God's sovereign and inscrutable will. You are doing a good work here; you are a Soldier of the Cross. When the Enemy tries (in vain) to push the thorn deeper into your flesh just pray (or, perhaps from time to time shouting is permissible, just ask Martin Luther): "Shut up Satan and get out of here! In JESUS' Name. Father, please rebuke the enemy and give me strength, by your Spirit! In Jesus' Name ALONE." Always here for you! Soli Deo Gloria

Narrow is the gate that leads to eternal life and few find it.
Adding to the finished work of Jesus Christ for salvation is heresy.
Amen. We cannot add to his work. Our works never earn us salvation.
Amen. Praise God 🙏
Yes to my ears this is the same issue I describe as walking upright being mistaken for works.
Many have deaf ears to this.
Getting saved is not just about saying the sinner's prayer. It is about genuinely believing the truth of Christ's death and resurrection as you do so.
Which is why he calls us to preach the gospel to all nations
One big issue is, that we are now living in a time where people cannot even agree on the meaning of "repentance".
2 Corinthians 7:10 explains it.
Yeh, it’s crazy times!!
god forgives only those who repent of their sins, 2 Corinthians 7:10, godly grief produces a repentance that led to salvation 1 John 1:9, if we confess our sin, he..will forgive our sins, our lord obviously has not forgiven and will not forgive the souls in hell right now for the simple reason that they did not ask for forgiveness, this seems as clear as clear can be, the question is, are we required to do more than god does when it comes to forgiveness?
Amen !
I keep falling for lust (porn) pray for me and I pray for those who struggling with this addiction
Well said!! 🙏
Hi Matt
Spot on in answering that person with the scriptures. Brilliantly explained.
Love your understanding of the Bible and you are able to back up not with your own beliefs but the exact meaning of scripture.
Love your passion, and knowledge of the word of Jesus Christ. 🙏❤️
Thanks for explaining Matt.
God bless you 🙏
Jesus Christ (The Eternally Existing Son of God, God The Son, Savior, Christ) promises eternal life ONCE you believe on him alone, he died for your sins, was buried, and rose again 3rd day! Once Saved Always Saved! You can't lose salvation.
Matthew 7:21 KJV:
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the WILL OF MY FATHER which is in heaven.
John 6:40 KJV:
40 And this is the WILL OF HIM that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and BELIEVETH ON HIM, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
What a wonderful message. I love listening to you as you know the word so well. I’m learning daily from you. 🙏
Thanks for this video, this is a message that you won’t hear in church
God bless you 🙏🏻🎉
Thank you Br Matt
Amen Brother!
Amen my brother x
Pray for them to receive the Holy Spirit, absolutely necessary to hear the truth in the word!
Amen. There's some strange doctrine going around, lately. Worse than the usual JW/Mormon stuff.
Jesus says repentance and born again.
Sins will sneak in, reject it. Don't fall for it.
Pray, cry to God to empower you.
AMEN! Spot on! There are many false converts with false assurance.
- - Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. - -
Let everyone that speaks the name of Jesus depart from sin!
Well said 👏
Thank you for clearing up the misuse of this false teaching.
I don’t edit these videos, but I could probably put the verses in the description 😃 (often I don’t even write a description though!!)
I do usually say which verses they are, so you can write them down also.
I would read the transcript because it’s there. I have done that with other videos on different channels
And if we do sin ,we have a advocate with the father Jesus Christ.
Context. The book of hebrews is about trust in continual animal sacrifeces vs. Trust in Christs one time sacrifice.
Jesus told the
prostitute " Your sins are forgiven, yet, sin no more." Once saved always saved cannot be because intentional and continual sin separates us from God.
In Jude it says save some with gentleness and some by fire .
I honestly haven't been changed or transformed since 2011 and this does concern me.
Perfect obedience is impossible. We all fail many times. But the difference with a believer is that they have a sorrow for sin, a conviction, and repentant heart. We turn back to God, and look to his finished work!! (And his grace to help us live as he desires, out of love for him)

Had that robber lived we would have seen the changes in his life.
This is what I believe:
If a person has truly repented and born again and accepted Jesus as a personal saviour, then that person can't be unborn* or be lost from the hands of Jesus.

@@lionoffireraw Does this include preaching a false gospel?
Basically it’s Lordship salvation v easy believism (sinners prayer). The sinners prayer is unbiblical and has given many a false assurance.

I guess I'll have to invite him to church... Then God will make me a widow. If I love. Otherwise I'm like him... And on hard days I am. Path is so narrow.
And we ALL doesn't like to lose control of our own life.
It's like someone is ripping out my flesh.
Cling to Jesus, He is your true husband and forever King.
Through Jesus alone, (Rev 1:6) we gain the inheritance promised to the seed of Abraham by God not by any work we do.(Romans 4:4-8) Rejoice and rest in the messiah live your life by faith, by liberation of the law( 2nd Corinthians 5:7) GOD BLESS!
And the evidence of this is a transformed life, as per the teaching in this video!
I have a question do you believe in once saved always saved
2:47 *1 John 2:3*
Yes. Thank you. I realised I’d made a mistake. I said 2 John 🤦🏼♂️

@lionoffireraw thank you Brother
btw, those who believe in once saved always saved, believe you can live however you like and you will still be saved.....
Some believe that.
Most believe it was never a true conversion to begin with.
@@lionoffireraw I agree they are wrong, yet many believe it and they have not be truly converted and that is true with any denomination
I believe in eternal security and I vehemently reject the notion that that means you can sin however you want after salvation and get away scot-free.
Well said, are you saying we don't have to be followers but everyone's walk in Christ is different?
Do you know why Jesus told him that? True Christians should have the same relationship with Christ. He said we have the mind of Christ.
Christians need to mature and not stay babies. We need to read all of The Bible to know God and to grow.

Wilful sin re remarriage adultery is a needed study
Under the law yes .
You've got a bunch of word hearers without the Holy Spirit!
ROMANS 4:10
*How was it then reckoned?* when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, *but in uncircumcision.*
Abraham was CIRCUMCISED IN GENESIS CHATER 17!
Ask them WHAT and WHO they are trusting in for their salvation:
If they trust the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for their sins and the BLOOD shed at Calvary they are saved.
Same goes with the "church fathers."
The Church fathers WROTE scripture:
Matthew
John Mark
Luke
John Zebedee
James Zebedee
Jude
Paul
Peter
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone. When one exercises this saving faith, they are born again. This born-again experience produces transformation.
This biblical truth is as clear as “water is wet.”
It’s what the early church fathers believed, who were taught DIRECTLY by the apostles (who wrote the NT).
@@lionoffireraw Where is "saving faith" in the scripture? This is a Calvinist word.
On Judgement Day, I am of the impression that God can say ;I do not know you'. I wonder if that is tied into the 10 commandments, how you live life and believing in him and Jesus Christ sacrificing his life for us - or not?
True faith will produce a transformed life.

Sorry for all the spelling mistakes...😅
Thank you for taking the time to write that.
Jesus saves. Period. Amen 🙏
Thankfully we are also transformed when we are born again, and given the Spirit of conviction.
If you think a profesing believers life doesnt show enough " evidence" so you conclude they unsaved. What would you have them do to be saved??
So you are saying youre lost?
No. I’m saying that people who walk in defiant sin, with no conviction or repentance, are lost.
@@lionoffireraw so you are a calvanist.
(And his grace to help us live as he desires, out of love for him)
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Justification by Faith
21¶But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Are you ex PH ?
You really ought to study better 1 John 3:9. Use a concordance.
The kjv is "cannot sin" the concordance translate cannot to it is impossible to sin. The reason is John is speaking about our new nature or spirit that cannot commit sin.
Perfect example od we cannot look to our actions to wheather we are saved or not, we have to look to the object of our faith Jesus.
I would argue that I sin less then you do.
Rom 14 states anything not done in faith is a sin.
You apparently count on you fleshly thinking and actions, or lack there of to prove to yourself and others your faith. (God doesn't need proof btw)
I on the other hand simply believe. I therfore am able to continually walk in the spirit,(believing and trusting in Jesus) no matter what. No matter is I "sinned" in the flesh, I still believe
What Jesus promised for me, despite of me at times.
Repentance is a part of faith ⬇️

Couple things:
1. 95% of people who oppose Biblical soteriology do so because they are TRYING to deceive themselves (they know, instinctively, that they cannot deceive Almighty God, which is why upon examination of their lives, they do NOT have REAL peace by the way) and CLING to some particular sin: usually sexual, prideful or doubting in nature.
In Jesus' Name ALONE."
Always here for you! Soli Deo Gloria
