When you are offering condolences to a grieving father, it is egregious to mention that his son is a sinner. Maybe his son was an angel, compared to you or me. Your words to me on my great losses would sting,
Does anyone really think they know why God permits suffering ? I just don’t believe so. Mother Angelica once answered by saying that suffering is caused by our sins.
That is extremely facile to say.
Babies, children and , yes, His little ones, the animals suffer greatly. Why does an innocent baby get an aggressive cancer?
You don’t know, and neither do I.
Wild animals have very difficult lives, trying to find food and shelter. Why should they suffer?
We call the Lord a kind and gentle, and yet his permits the worst suffering on earth.
We know he can remove a child from harm’s way as a moving car bears down.Yes, miracles do happen every day.
Why not more?
I have Chinese relatives who suffered as Mao and his troops came from the North, starving his village.
The faithful Catholics have suffered under
Communism since 1949!
They have been in prison, been tortured, been killed. Many are
suffering as I write this.
Why does a loving God permit this.
Do you know that many Jewish people today are atheists?
They cannot believe why a loving God would permit the
Holocaust.
His eyes just filled with sadness but he understands his son no longer in pain. I love him,
Gary is an incredible man. His acting was one of the best and he never received the credit he deserved. He used his platform to promote all of work he has done for Wounded Warriors and disabled Vets. God doesn't put more on us than what we can handle. Gary is an amazing man, and a very humble man. Mr. Sinise and Mrs. Sinise- this retired nurse is recalling my beloved hospice patients who have died and as a devout catholic- thanking God there’s a life for us in heaven. Widiwed at age 39 with three children- this now 76 year old recalls her late husband ‘s profound words- ‘we are only here on a visit’ . All of us- together forever in heaven. I’ll be praying for Mac and your family. God bless you all and thank you for what you do for our servicemen and women.

It's hard to comprehend how a man who has been so good to so many people should have to endure what he has. It's one of those "Life isn't fair" moments. As a military wife who also fought cancer, Gary has my utmost respect & I wish him, his wife, & family..much peace & love. Mac is making music in heaven now, happy & free of pain.
We lost our son at 33 17 years ago from Chordoma - we know his pain.

My heart goes out to this amazing gentleman. I went through my own years of hell when everything seemed to come crashing down on my family. At times I
was so desperate that when I was alone once I fell to my knees and screamed, I am ashamed of that now, but I was approaching the end of my rope. This man is amazing and to go through so much and remain the strong honourable and decent man he remains is inspirational.
This is breaking my heart - what a lovely young man Gary’s son Mac was. Coupled with all the health issues Gary’s wife & father went through too, his family have had it so tough. I pray life will be kinder to the Sinises. ❤

My Mom was a musician too and although she’s been been gone for 30 years, I’ll hear a song she’s covered and it brings her right back into my life. May your son’s music bring you memories and love.

I lost my daughter at the age of 24 to brain cancer. She fought it for 5 years. She was my baby. She never met a stranger and lit up a room just by being in it. We as parents are not supposed to bury our children. So God Bless You Gary Sinese and your family. I do know what it is like.😢

Beside being an amazing actor, Gary Sinise in an amazing humanitarian, a real hero, he gives back so much to the public, for him to loose his son to cancer, is heartbreaking, and so sad. Mr sinase..i just lost my 56 year old daughter to cancer...there is several songs that give me comfort...'come Jesus come", " the eye of"the strom", there was Jesus", and "holy is His name ".. my faith in God is always so strong, but my mother's heart is shattered...may God bless you and your family..thank you for sharing your story and comfort your heart...

The only silver lining to a family member or friend having a disease that will indeed take them is having the opportunity to say goodbyes and such and to savor each moment, as for other people you could go at any time and we always take for granted as if tomorrow is promised so we don’t savor moments and say I love yous. Not much of a lining but it’s something. I’ll be buying the album. Maybe they can license for movies too.
