I found your video on 8/8/2024 at 7:45 pm CST. I am a 67 year old retired Over the road truck driver from Ozark, Al. I just recently found out about the slip bobber set up that is used for various types of fish. I have watched several fishing videos where the slip bobber cork was used. But none of them explained how the set up worked. Then I discovered your video that explained in detail how the set up works. I really appreciate how you explained the set up in detail and how it works. Great Job
Thank you, I looked at so many videos on youtube and all of them are just time waste but your video is straight forward to the topic. Just gained a new subscriber.
Now i see the bobber stop can be moved and wound onto the reel. It makes sense to me now that i can get my bait 15-20 feet down way longer then the rod length. Thanks for that revelation!
You are welcome Sasha. If you're interested in more info on slip bobbers check this out ruclips.net/p/PLksX0m4wrQHzY42vxvoV7scmG2dwPU84g Thanks for watching, KPO.
Question. Could you get rid of the bead and bobber stop and simply just stop your line from releasing and then it won’t continue to fall through the bobber. This would prevent having to move your bobber stop when you wanted to go deeper or shallower
Casting distance I suppose. I don't like them as much though. I want my weight to be on the line, that helps slide the line through the bobber after it hits the water. There are other reasons as well. I cover them in this video ruclips.net/video/6zoiQAAZz1E/видео.html Thanks
Slip bobbers are where it's at! My favorite way to catch fish. Don't forget the value of those lead depth finders, fastest way to find and adjust for lure/bottom difference. Let's go catch so m e lbdn perch dave

You bet, KPO.
Thanks! I see the bobber stop "knot" HAS to go through the rod's eyelets and maybe onto the reel or else it doesn't make sense.

Awesome videos 🎣 from deep south Texas city of Hidalgo.
Hello Texas!
Question. Could you get rid of the bead and bobber stop and simply just stop your line from releasing and then it won’t continue to fall through the bobber. This would prevent having to move your bobber stop when you wanted to go deeper or shallower
You could but the bobber will be pulled back toward you under a tight line condition.
some slip bobbers are weighted (thill)
what is the purpose of a weighted bobber
Casting distance I suppose. I don't like them as much though. I want my weight to be on the line, that helps slide the line through the bobber after it hits the water. There are other reasons as well. I cover them in this video ruclips.net/video/6zoiQAAZz1E/видео.html Thanks

I might just get over there over the 4th.
Escanaba is having theirs on the 3rd, I'll be fishing in the morning if you wanna go get a bunch of perch :)
