Vanessa can stay with you and still got all this good endings, I did it myself in my first playthrough. SPOILER ALERT: they lived together for 6 years and after that she decided out live a normal life.

I hated vanessa, shes just a spoiled brat that wants to party and be “free” just to then grow up and face reality and realize how stupid she is, then she leaves jays and her fairytale of a life to have a normal life.
@@Leon_hm Yeah, but six years it's no joke, try understand, Jay lie to her, and she still stay with him, and she has no guilt about Jay cannot live a normal life, it's ask to much give your life to another one that way, don't you think.

Its better for her to go back with her dad. That's what's best. She spends a little time in juvie and goes on to become a lawyer.
Vanessa going with you is the best ending imo. She still goes back but they have memories and he talks very fondly of the time they had together

No, it's not. It's in her best interest to go back with her dad instead of wasting six years hiding. She can just get her punishment for aiding and abetting over with and go onto law school
I agree. Her life was going to shit with her family anyway, so I doubt her father will change and she’ll switch up suddenly. So I just took her with me lol
The grandpa's mysterious storyline is very interesting.
Paul recognized grandpa, Grandpa puts a cap to hide his face when Sharon appeared, then he confessed he was in two rocks a long time ago. Pretended to be a salesman. Then dies or got hurt in the end by an unknown assailant.
so the game didn't say anything else about this gentleman? I'm curious

Fortunately for me, I got the best ending first try. I guess my experience with Until dawn, detroit: become human, the dark pictures anthology etc helped.
Same, I have too much experience with these types of games.
I always do 2 playthroughs. One with what I'd closely choose for myself then the opposite
Same. Especially those intense moments where the initial instinct was to run away, but staying still or keeping a calm demeanor are actually the best actions.
@Yasha in some games I try being the nice guy the 1st playthrough then the 2nd one I'm a complete jerk

This scene in the end made me realize that I was right from the beginning as soon as I started playing As Dusk Falls about this grandpa. There was something wrong in this story from the beginning :)

I left Vanessa at the falls because I thought I was gonna get her killed, also I didn't successfully comfort Jay at the end. Everything else turned out perfect though

It’s crazy to think that the “best ending” includes Vince and her marrying. Honestly I hate cheaters I accept second chances but her reasoning was intrusive and she even said she did like it? Like what the heck’s and to think she didn’t even bring it up here that she cheated if you trust her like the fuck

I feel like jay got the short end of the stick at most he had 6 years with Vanessa and assume he was lonely for the rest
Wish we'd get more of these narrative focussed games with various ways to go instead of the usual "Here's the same shit we gave you last year, but we added some cosmetics for cash".
So who killed Jim at the very end? Jim and Dale were the only ones killed at the end of mines. Jay and Vanessa split after I had them jump off the cliff, Michelle and Vince separated as he built that school and she married Craig whoever that is, Tyler was on death row in Arizona, Sharon and Paul lived on the beach, Bear visited Dale’s grave and Zoe ate with Jay then left. The way this ended they have to make a second one.
Nobody can say who's the killer of Jim. That makes for a Part 2 soon.

IS Jim dead though? All we know for certain is that he was shot. It's possible he's still alive, just unconscious from the trauma and is near death. But they didn't out and out say that he was dead. Any sort of sequel to this game could have him survive in the hospital, and tell more about what happened, and fully why he wanted the detour through Two Rock.
@@skarnak1 my assumption is that Jim was probably in on the conspiracy with Dante maybe that’s why he didn’t want to be recognized by him? Idk though, can’t wait for part 2!

Some people hate Vanessa for ditching jay but atleast they made memories within 6 years and there's still chance that they contact each other in the future, if I only knew helping Sharon will not benefit either Tyler or Jay I will just leave her in jail.
Great game I hope the studio gets another game to account for this ending.
Unfortunately Jay was led to cause all of that shit, he's the only one through the story who is aware of all the situations, all the evil they causing because of their bad choices...
If anyone that deserves a 2nd chance was Jay

She has to run away forever from the law and leaves Jay after a couple years
@@VideoGameSophistry the world thinks they're dead. Like, who's gonna come looking for dead people like em? the ghostbusters? Cases gets closed for criminals if they are declared dead.
Anyway it maybe subjective but I feel like Jay must have had at least a happier life in that route rather than being alone all the way through and She grew up too and chose to live somewhere else away from him. She basically risked death rather than go back to her dad.
I'd imagine her having severe trust issues on one route vs the other . She trusted Jay so much, imagine going above and beyond helping someone but they end up telling you that they didnt need you at all, after that you got sent to juvenile prison for it not getting any closure because she thinks Jay died there.
if you tell her not to come with you Vanessa gets a job and goes home, seeing jay jump of a cliff is surprising to me because the playthrough i saw was much different

I had Michelle die in my playthrough because she was wanted me to send Zoe out at least the ending I got was bittersweet
everything was going almost perfectly fine in my playthrough until this fucking nice park ranger stopped me at the viewpoint by the falls and i couldn't bear my self to push him down.

I personally think they ruined it by surprising you with how Vanessa left after 6 years , I considerately chose the route to have her come along with me but it was actually pretty sad when the camera pans on jay and there’s no Vanessa you already know she didn’t stay , There 100% should of been an ending where they stayed together in definately but it makes sense a city girl wanted to return home , BUT STILL

Author of this video was right. This Jay's ending is really the best. Why? Alternative ending is Jay and Vanessa have lived for 6 years. It was just teenage passion. They weren't genuine people. When she went away she made a new scar on Jay's face. What is the game about? Do you remember Paul's cat, Vince's dog, Jay's dog, Bear's horse, Michell betraying? This game is about fidelity. How to find a genuine creature who will really love you, despite everything.

I had a bittersweet ending and I loved it that way. I've forgive jay, but she told him to stop sending letters because she wanted to move on.
Vince died during the chase. Tyler got arrested, Vanessa went back with her Dad in the end, Sharon scape with Paul, Michelle got a new husband and grandpa got shot

Vince really deserved someone better, Tyler isn't bad enough to deserve a bad ending, Sharon may even deserve prison, but its not unreasonable to help her escape, the only ones who didnt deserve their ending were Jim, Dale and Jay who are the best people in the game

Both Dante and Sharon are in prison. Jay gets a suspended sentence but gets a job as a Forest Ranger. Not a good "game" at all apart from Jay's voice acting.
Well in my ending i think Justice prevailed. And feel this is the best ending.
Jay was caught by the Ranger, send to prison, was on deathrow, and got a last second pardon from the governor. So he served his time for things he did and didn't die.
Taylor and the mom got to jail serves them right.
Vince and Michelle got back together. The bond was strong enough to overcome what she had done. He even got his dream job.
Only wished Zoe and her parents had a better bond.
I got Vince killed in the pool fight cause I didn’t want to drown the other guy and I died for it
