This is amazing and so many questions. There could be so many interpretations but this is how I see it: I think that both Jin and Namjoon were friends/lovers as they both used to work at the same petrol station (maybe even attended the same highschool). After meeting again (Jin went abroad to study), he finds Namjoon still working at the same place. He finds out that Namjoon and their highschool friend, Taehyung, are dealing drugs on the side and Jin has nightmares about them getting caught by the police. He had always known Namjoon was a trouble maker, but he was also the smartest man Jin had ever met. He knew Namjoon was destined for greater things than just being a dealer. Knew that he deserved more. Fearing that Taehyung was putting Namjoon in danger, Jin picks a fight with him knowing that deep down, it was also jealousy that caused him to curl his fist as he had seen the way Tae and Namjoon looked at eachother. The rest of the gang are leading similar lives of dissatisfaction so when they gather they "each give an idea" or in other words, each assume a role: Jin is the Discerner - assessing and dealing with people. Hoseok is the Mystic - disposing of bodies and hiding the truth (a doctor and battles addiction). Yoongi is the Gunner - hitman and dirty work.They then come up with "a new rule": if they were going to be bad people doing bad things, then they might as well be the baddest. Taehyung and Jin made up after their fight and that gathering was when their oath to dirty success officially begun. Jin found out that he had a knack for gambling and it was in illegal casinos that Namjoon started his networking and the beginnings of creating an Empire. Thanks to graduating at the top of his degree in psychology and human behaviour, Jin was quick to read people and deduce their intentions. If Namjoon was the brains and owner of the empire, Jin was his hound; his shield, right hand man, but also, his lover. Since Namjoon rarely goes anywhere without Jin, Jin also chauffeurs and drives everywhere. Something happens (a conflict with the MyeongDong Capitol gang perhaps) that results in Taheyung being captured by the authorities. Namjoon tracks his location and organizes a bust - once they are all back together, they lay low at their mansion where Hoseok is recovering from almost over-dosing. But the MyeongDong gang finds them and starts a raid - in which all their secrets, files and evidence of all their dirty deeds could be found and exposed. So they blow the place up, all of them escaping but showing a battered Jin (did he survive? Did he get caught? Idek, we need a 3rd part xD)

It seems like if they got caught, Jin would probably get the easiest punishment. They'd only be able to arrest him for being an accomplice since he seems to only be in charge of controlling their money and making sure the others don't get caught. Aside from Jhope he doesn't seem directly involved with the killings or dealing, so the cops wouldn't be able to prove he did anything illegal other than protect them.
