    Hello, UXClub thank you for this video. I have a Question " If I am working on a new feature can I use story map for that?" or story mapping is only for the new product?

    • @steveperry6047

      You can, and I'm sure you have by now.

    • @kranthitech

      You can create story maps for different persona and features (user goals). Most tools don't allow for that... so you end up with a lot of disconnected story maps for your product. Here's a better way - ruclips.net/video/GkuSxQflnaw/видео.html

    Hi! What's the difference between product details and preview of product, in yoir case?
    Also, why would you split signing up with facebook vs other social media? why not have it together in one task?

  • @antoni0trotta

    How would you define those activities in the first place?
    Would this work for type of products/features/services that are brand new?
    What would be an activity that preceeds and one that follow user story mapping?

    • @kote.shengelia
      @kote.shengelia 4 года назад

      Yes

    • @JdesignL
      @JdesignL 4 года назад

      No it's not. User STORY Mapping is a way of prioritizing a backlog of user stories. You should already have a made a User JOURNEY Map before conducting USM workshops to understand how your user completes a certain task/tasks by mapping out the steps they take to get there. You add things like their pain points and touchpoints to help better understand their overall experience and in turn create user centric user stories.

  • @peterbonnema8913

    So where are the userstories? Also, how do you arrive at these tasks?

    • @tfahad2051
      @tfahad2051 4 года назад +1

      I believe user story was in another video, which I can't find on the Channel. You read the user story and that's how you come up with those tasks.
      For example, the user story could be:
      As a Nike owner, I would like the shoppers to visit my website to shop for shoes, and preferably register with my website.

    Is it just me or does "Ship the product" feel misplaced here? It seems like something the company is expected to do rather than the user, since after paying, it should be out of the user's hands.

    • @BobBarley420
      @BobBarley420 5 лет назад +2

      yes totally. same with signing up. nobody wants to sign up but the company - so from a user centred process its more like find it - examine it - buy it - receive it

    • @Iamjimmyhopkins
      @Iamjimmyhopkins 3 года назад

      I also feel the same, find a product and examine a product feels like overlapping.

    • @kranthitech
      @kranthitech 3 года назад

      You're right. A story map needs to be thought from perspective of a "user persona". In this case, merchant and buyer would be different persona. Here's a more detailed explanation - ruclips.net/video/GkuSxQflnaw/видео.html

    It was great but the third activity of "add to basket" has one task called "add to wish list" clearly doesn't fit under it. It's very presumptuous. Instead wish list should be an activity and written in pink post-it and it will be something that won't be touched on the first release, for example.

    It is called "user story mapping" and yet you used activities and tasks as if it was a "customer journey map". Other references link user stories to epics to provide end-to-end representation of user stories, which I think makes much more sense. Can you please clarify. Here is a better explanation: ruclips.net/video/svquaeyKg5E/видео.html
