For English speakers: I have been there many times. VERY good museum. The restaurant next door is authentic East German.

Thanks for your recommendation, Bruce! Unfortunately, the restaurant you mentioned does not exist anymore. Instead, we extended the exhibition by adding a new part in form of a fully furnished apartment :)

@@ddrmuseum I am sure that there are many others who are disappointed to know that the restaurant has been closed. It was a good place to end a visit to the museum!

Ich bin ein Wessi aber hatte viele Kontakte in die DDR.
Es war bei weitem nicht alles schlecht.

Jetzt muss ich sagen war die DDR gut wer sich nicht politisch eingesetzt hat hatte keine Probleme das was jetzt hir los ist nehme ich gern die DDR zurück u baue selber die Mauer herum da habe ich Frieden u Freiheit reisen konnten wir auch in sozialistische Ländern gebt mir die DDR wieder 🍀❤️🍀❤️
