I never used to listen to the Japanese songs but now they’re some of my favourite!! I like how Jin gets better lines and seeing a different side to rap line 🤩

There are rumors/dispute over whether this song was written about them disbanding. The timing works for that to be true, however it’s never been stated by them specifically(only outro tear has been), and the song wasn’t written by them primarily. That being said, they have other songs (ex: abyss by Jin) that were written by others with the members input and emotions as the inspiration so I believe it may be a possibility. Love the song either way, and to each their own. Love your channel BECAUSE you’re honest so much appreciated💜💜

Well, I appreciate it very much. I just feel weird not automatically not being like "THIS IS GREAT!"....but that's the thing with music....it's an art...not everyone is going to see it the same

I started listening to BTS at the tail end of 2017 after spending 10 years listening to almost only Japanese bands. The Face Yourself album was my first Japanese BTS album experience. I fell in love with Let Go immediately. Compared to Japanese versions of their songs, their original Japanese songs don’t suffer from the effect of the listener being already familiar with the original, and also don’t suffer from the difficulties of translating lyrics from one language to another whilst trying to keep the flow and meaning. On first listen to Let Go, I was excited because the Japanese lyrics sounded right to me, i didn’t have any of the misgivings I would normally have about the Japanese version songs. I was so comforted by that. Then the first performances we saw were the Japanese lives where one night they wore black and the other they wore white, coupled with the choreography I just fell in love with it all over again. I think the song has a wistful feeling, the person knows that it would be better to end the relationship, to let the other person go, and yet there is still a part which pains them to have come to that decision and to do it, and it feels like they’re stuck in that pain, and yes in the song there’s no real resolution to that feeling. For me i’m more than ok to not have a resolution to it, it is what it is, a wallowing in the pain

The red thread mentioned here means “the red thread of fate”
    Taken from wiki:
It is commonly thought of as an invisible red cord around the finger of those that are destined to meet one another in a certain situation as they are "their true love".
So basically The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break. This myth is similar to the Western concept of soulmate or a destined partner.

I love jin's vocals in this song especially in the live performance. Also real armys would never hate you for not liking a bts song, it would be different if you called it trash o something like that, but you're not that type of person and we like the fact that you're honest. Heads up, all bts songs that are in japanese or english will not be translated by doolset since they only do the korean ones (ex. You will not find dynamite, crystal snow or waste it on me,etc.) Sooo if you don't find a song there, chances are that its japanese 😁 (in case you couldn't tell the difference between japanese and korean at first listen)

I personaly love their japanese songs, but I agree it's not the same feeling than their korean songs. Less deeper and meaningfull, maybe. Just beautifull romantic love songs, but I like it, too. And it's suit very well to Jin's voice. He's "shine" in each japanese song, as Crystal snow, or Your eyes tell.

The red thread as in the thread of fate. It’s said that a red thread connects you with your soulmate. The thread is connected by the pinkies. You’ll find a bunch of articles if you look it up. I think it’s originally a Chinese myth but it’s well known in east Asia. There’s an anime called “koi to uso” (love and lies) that has a similar concept (although it’s called the red thread of science and it’s a whole government thing) but the opening to the anime shows the red thread and how it’s connected to the main characters (I didn’t have to write that whole last part about the anime but I got carried away oops)

I just looove their japanese songssss. Ofc that all the boys speak and sing in japanese really well, but Jin just sounds like a native Japanese singer and Suga's accent it's so so so so cute can'tttttt. This song it was released by the same time that tear, so yeah after all the things that the boys explained about tear, let go have the same meaning apparently. It was a difficult time for them and for us too, in the end of 2018 with their speech army got to know what fear and broken really means.
And about you not liking it? I think that you are not that iustue their japanese originals songs, they have a different vibe from that the ones who are written in Korean first. Even the fandom knows that, we even take more down and chill their japanese comeback

Whoever would leave over a difference in opinion? Your honesty is what made me stay with your channel in the first place.
That said, I have the same problem as you with some of their Japanese songs - I just can‘t find the message. And as for me the message in their songs is a big part of what Inlove about BTS and what sets them apart from many other artists, that really irritated me in the beginning. But because I still enjoy the music and choreography of those songs, I decided to treat the songs with less of a BTS-y message behind them just as I would any other artist‘s that doesn’t aim for a deep meaning. Now I simply enjoy the overall feeling of those songs - and that I don‘t have to bother trying to get the lyrics for at least them 😁
And btw BTS is the first artist where I like almost 100% of their work (usually it‘s only a few songs here and there, or up to 60% at most) - so not absolutely loving every single song of an artist is something I‘m really familiar with.

it's okay if it's not your favorite 🥺💕 everyone has their own taste of music,, personally I really love it, I really adore their Japanese music, but perhaps u aren't used to them since a lot of their Japanese songs definitely have a different vibe than their Koreans ones,, bit dont force yourself, if it grows on u then it grows on u and if not at least u gave it a chance 🥰🥰
also as a few other comments mentioned, while it wasn't explicitly said or explained really,, many *rumor* it to almost have been the last song bts would've put out for us, but that rumor didn't start until the end of 2018 when we learned that they had thoughts about disbanding earlier that year (which is also when Let Go was released in their Face Yourself album, it was also the last song in the album). a little background: their contract of 7 years was going to end soon and they were struggling on whether they wanted to continue or not,, since in 2018 they had a serge of success they had felt overwhelmed and were going through a rough time making that decision together. so that's why it's rumored that let go could've ALMOST been a goodbye song to army,, but its not confirmed by bts, therefore it's just a rumor, but it fits the situation of the song I think, so I believe it ,, but of course u can interpret the song in many other ways depending on what you are going thru or feeling and such,,, this song being a goodbye to army is just one of many interpretations :]
the red string of fate, u can search it up, has to do with soulmates, whether its romantic or platonic, and its this believed idea that people are connected to their soulmate via this (invisible) red string of fate,, im not the most knowledgeable on this but this is a very basic explanation of what I do know 💖💖
and its hard to choose whether I like hobis hair parted or messy more, but I think I'll go with messy 🥰💕
thank u for the reaction!! 💜💜💜

Don't be upset if you don't like it.
For many there is an emotional attachment to this song, because it has words and pain of parting. Some feel this is not the case. Their reasons are that it wasnt written by them, and bts members never said so.
    My reasons are;
It is from their Japanese album and so perhaps that is the reason for not writing themselves.
Secondly, it was around that time.
What other meaning could the song have? Who are they letting go, if not each other? Usually bts does not openly explain their songs. Suga telling the reason for 'tear' is quite an exception. Otherwise RM has only 2 explanations- it is for a friend or for army 😁
I have sensed a reluctance on their part to come out clearly about the meaning of songs.

The song is remarkable especially when you know why it was written. It was based on their struggles with the thought of disbanding. They had to overcome that.

    • @moonwaves613
      @moonwaves613 4 года назад +3

No it wasn’t, that’s misinformation. They wouldn’t make a Japanese song about disbanding, it’s just a regular break up song. Plus they didn’t write the song.

I love this song. As for BTS’ meaning, only they know their true meaning of writing this.
For me, it’s a sad song for sure. It’s because I can relate this song to a past relationship where I thought this might be the one. But that guy had gradually changed during the 2nd year with him. I became depressed and miserable and feeling ignored. I knew I needed to cut this one off as much as I kept hoping for a miracle. 😳. Anyways, this some always makes me teary. Sorry for the tmi.
I really really like forehead Bangtan so I can see their beautiful faces all the time... so that means I like forehead J-Hope too 😁

You don't have to like every BTS' song or anyone's song for that matter. People have different taste. Honestly some of their songs I didn't like the first time but after I find out about the lyrics and listen to a few more times they grow on me and start to like a lot more. As long as people are not rude and disrespectful I think it's fine to express one's opinion towards songs' liking or not.

Supposed to be their last song (last album)
You should react to "Tear" the song that yoongi wrote when they were supposed to dissband ( they have said this themselfs and all of them cried when they listen this song for the first time ) also take a look at the mama 2018 award - bts speech for artist of the year .. ;( its sad ... they couldn't hold tears

JHope's hair? full forehead, hair combed back... 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
regarding the song.... of course, you will not like every single one of them, it's normal, don't feel bad about it.
the truth is that their jpn songs are written for them, produced for them, BTS has (most of the times, especially in the past) little implication in them. If you look up the song on bangtan tv, you will see in the credits, that there is nobody from BTS involved. and it feels.
so it's normal to not feel the same connection, or vibe as their own songs. sure, the songs are selected carefully, but still, it lacks the specific BTS flavor (at least to me). they are often cutesy love songs, without any deeper meaning. easy on the ears? sure. big, earth shattering revelations in them? no. i don't hate on them, but i prefer their own, original songs. i know that the korean songs are also a team work with different writers, producers, but they have a bigger input with them, they tweak the received songs to their own taste and style, which makes all the difference.
the choreography, on the other hand, is their own. either made directly by Son Sung Deuk, or approved/supervised by him, it has their style. it's the BigHit style, so it makes the performance more familiar, more connecting.

Not every song is going to be a favorite, doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment of the band/group, so no apologies necessary. Oh, and I like the parted hair..show some forehead!!
