I just checked out the ABOX on Amazon very reasonably priced. Never thought about sealing lettuce. I see one of these in my future very soon. Of course it will be from your Amazon list. Thanks
Don't remove what he calls the guard at the beginning... it allows you to use the 2 spots sticking up to line up how far your bag goes in and catches any juices iff ur sealing something moist so if you take it out you are getting less protection
I am on my second food saver and I am sad to say I am so disappointed. They really don't work like they claim to. When they are brand new they are great but after about 6 months they just don't vacuum seal the food well. I may look into this to see if it is better. Thanks for sharing this :)
I prefer using a sealer with canisters. You can use various sizes as needed. I always find washing and reusing bags a pain and potentially unsanitary. The bags are great for freezing, reheating, etc.
Hi peeps, yes I spelled "vacuum" incorrectly in the video, it happens. Don't get angry, thank you. :)
I have an old one and I love it. the bags are a little pricey but sometimes you can find them on clearance. xoxo Kat.
Love this video. You take your time and deal with a variety of “non-meat” items. Soothing an kind voice! Thank you.

Hey chef👋🏽 I need one of these for me and my mom.😀 Thanks for sharing
Hey- so the produce stays in the fridge? or in the cupboard? That's cool that your food won't get stale.
I keep all the perishables in the fridge. Everything else is in the cupboard. It’s really amazing in this machine. I am so happy to finally have one.
Tomorrow is Amazon Prime Day. I will check up on it then. Adam belongs so that he can get some Twitch perks. He’s a gamer.
This looks very very tempting, Tovia! I need to find out the price of replacement rolls of plastic first, however. : )
You can find the bag roll at Walmart for 9.99.
I wish my FoodSaver had a cutter.
I just bought a FoodSaver and mine has a cutter.
How do unlock it? Mine won't open?
There are buttons on both sides you have to press to unlock it.
@@CookingWithTovia Ty for the response back. I did see it on the sides lol thank you.
Yes those vacuum dealers are the Bees 🐝 knees !!! Everyone needs this in your kitchen cos it can be used for tons of things !!! Go Tovia Go
I sealed some romaine lettuce and it turned limp & soggy....why?
Did you dry the lettuce before sealing the bag?
@@CookingWithTovia No I took it out of the bag it came in and just sealed it...I will try drying it first next time...thanks.
great review like 41
The lettuce was literally squashed even with the soft setting😅😅
No, it wasn’t squashed. All the air was removed from the pack but it was far from squashed.
