@@Pixelcave really. The other ones always had confusing cuts and no explanation. 🙂 My mount died two times on the way 🤣 so I did it with your method by feet
There is another way. Needs a little more time to prepare (once), but maybe less then some of the ways. You can build a ramp with 5 stairs height just next to the historican. Then you can just easily fly to the other side. I did use the catapult, but put it on one of the higher bramches of the tree, because my first flight was to short. But I guess I just started flying to early. I dont know, what will happen, when I move base, but maybe ti just stays there. But I also became that idea due to your guide, so thanks for that.
That's of course another way to do it - until they restrict players from building next to POI or quest givers. But until then, why not, interesting tip! Happy to hear the catapult works well for you, and yes, it can be a bit hit and miss how high you manage to land, but it should generally get you there faster.
The first path shows how to get to the vicinity of the historian, but not how to actually get there. You have to fly in, that is the only way. The other secret path will take you to the pyrite greatsword, but not to the historian.
That's incorrect - flying is not the only way. The first path we show leads you up a ramp and then you follow aaaaall the way around the ledge (around half the room) on foot until you end up on top of the Historian's room. The fly in is definitely the fastest and most direct, hence why we call it "best" shortcut. If you fail the flight up to him, you can always walk up the ramp and around as well.
Can you tell me how to progress to Amber Valley? Ive found the Historian and I can now make pyrite armor and make the hornet treat, do I have to make the treat and tame a hornet? I am not getting any new waypoints or "quests" - Please, thank you! Edit: I was frustrated and i didnt watch your video to the end.. I forgot the scroll apparently. Thank you and subbed!
Ancient scroll is still in my inventory after meeting the Historian… I thought I would be giving it to him. 👀 Do you know if there is something else to do with it, or is it just a useless keepable item now?
@@Pixelcave No problem. Thanks for responding. I’m sort of an organized hoarder in games. So, the ancient scroll, time and sapphire wings hanging around with no purpose is start time to be an eyesore. 🤣
Thank you very much. This is the only really helpful video i could find.
Oh, thank you! Really happy to hear that - it can be confusing to find your way there the first few times, so yeah, hopefully this is helpful! 😊

Np, glad you managed to progress! And thanks for the update - we all get frustrated at times!

I'm sorry, I can't recall if we kept the scroll or not after talking to him. I'd say put it into storage just in case.
