I made this mistake of accepting as soon as possible and then waiting for 20+ for Wingstop to make their chicken wings. Well, as you guessed, I did NOT get paid for those 20+ minutes. So, lesson learned...

So yea, once you have signed up and all that good stuff, you just have to open the app and click " Go Online" and a delivery will just pop up! Once something pops, you have the option to "accept" or "skip" the delivery. So, in order for delivers to pop up, you want to be in those "hot spots", which are the red color areas on the map. This will increase your chance of having a delivery pop up! I hope this answers your question, if not, let me know! I am always happy to answer all kinds of questions!
I'm not sure if Postmates' policy has changed, but I read online that customers can give a thumbs up or thumbs down which doesn't affect your standing on the platform.
you forgot about the part where the customer orders something that is somehow completely not on the menu then you have to call them and try to figure out what the hell they want instead.

Hey guys I have a question.. I just started with Postmates, i remember when I signed up it asked me for a city where I wanted to work .. but my city don’t even get hotspots at all lol I been working this app for 3 days now and I only got 5 orders so far .. when I look at the hit map I can see that other cities are having hot spots can I just go there and see if I can get orders?? For example I live in laurel Maryland but the hot spots are in Washington DC is about a 30 min away. I’m asking this because I did just that today and spend about 2hr just sitting there and I didn’t get any orders
So yes. To answer your question, there will be cities and areas without “hot spots”, that just means it’s not as busy in that area. Since the hot spots are in DC, you can drive over to see if you’ll be getting deliveries. Being in the hot spots only increase your chance of getting an increase/boost in delivery payout!
Yea, that could happen sometimes ... it’s really horrible and embarrassing when it happens. If you find a mistake, try and report it. Usually that’s what I do!

Sometimes that might happen. If so, try going onto the Postmates Fleet website and see if you can reorder a bag. If not, they might have ran out. You can just use any thermal bag if you want!
Usually you’ll have to go into the restaurant and order in person and then just wait for the order to be ready. Sometimes you can call, but most restaurants do not allow Postmates driver to call an order. It’s preferred that you order in person.
Atroxidy, from my experience, dinner tends to have the most orders and you’ll usually be very busy from 6pm to 10pm. (At least here in Austin) however, lunch is still busy but only peaking about 11am to 1pm. It’s ok, but can die out faster. Hope this helps!

If you use a bike, you’ll get deliveries that are close, so you aren’t biking very far.

Incorrect info. Once you get your card in the mail and activate it you have to wait for the background check. You can’t just start right away.
