Thanks for the video! Super helpful. I did notice that you did not use any paper barrier to cover the cups before placing in the press. I have read that it is necessary to do this so the ink doesn’t ruin the press but it doesn’t really look like a necessary step??
That's called blow out. I used to wrap in protective paper but if you use good sublimation paper, and I do, I haven't had blow out on tumblers, glass and mugs. The time that you should surely use protective paper is if there is a lot of unprotected area so your blank doesn't pick up any "stray ink" that could be on the press. I always use protective paper in my flat presses and for cloth. But tumblers and "full wraps" I don't. Hope this helps! Thank for watching!
Also, if the tumbler press would get ink from blowout, then I would use protective paper until it burns off. Presses get so hot it burns off in a short time.
Okay I have the same HTVRont tumbler press. Did 3 tumblers the other day had some ghosting around the top and bottom. Looking at other RUclips videos they suggested you did not have to use the shrink wraps however I see it worked for you. I will try after watching your video. Thanks Cindy!
@deborahm7121 I had heard people say not to use the shrink sleeve too, but I have such good results in the air fryer with them that I thought - what the heck, give it a try! I was very happy with the results! Thank you!
