- Dear Wine People,
Sherry and Port are the fortified wines that you'll learn about on WSET Level 2 in Wines. There are many different styles of these two wines, so we'll go through them one by one and explain them all.
And, as always, there are 10 WSET exam-type questions, for you to test your knowledge on this subject. Let us know in the comments how well you did!
Cheers and stay thirsty and wise!

Thank you! But how do we fortify Pedro Ximenez? We fortify it during fermentation, that stops and the sugar remains?
You are not tasted on WSET for PX. What you need to know about PX is that is used as a sweetener to make dry Sherry sweet. Focus your attention on the dry Sherry styles and know the names of sweet Sherry. I hope this answers your question. Stay Thirsty and Wise
But also to answer your original question. Yes PX is fortified during fermentation, but also the grapes are air dried to get me concerned and stop the fermentation naturally and wines are fortified to around 15%
@@thirstyandwise Okey, great! Thank you so much! Have a nice day!❣
