What a faublous skater - great edges, deep knees, beauiful flow, easy quad & 3 Axel, beautiful spins and TEXTBOOK jumps. Love Chan but the elegant flow of Kozuka is amazing.

i'm not a huge Chan fan, but I disagree with the comments below. As good as Takahiko is here technically, he doesn't have the smoothness, transitions, and overall flow of Chan. There's no way you can say they are on par with each other.

@filipinoICEsk8ter Yeah, but only because Kozuka's components marks haven't been accurate all season. Edge quality, transitions, choreography, all of it - Kozuka is the same (if not better) as Chan, but none of the scores ever reflect it.

Wonderful skater but his coach should really limit his arm movement, just too much and distracting.

@beatbox924 Although Takahiko had a clean program, and Patrick had one mistake, jumps are not the only important part of figure skating.
Patrick's artistry and step sequences are much better than Takahiko's.
And while Takahiko did only one quad by itself, Patrick did two quads, and did you see his huge quad toe - triple toe combination?
Patrick Chan rightfully won this competition.
