Always a fun technique! I used to do Mable painting with my young students when I was teaching. For Halloween, they would paint a paper or paper plate black and then use a marble with white paint, to create a spider web! (Later we added a spider!). The kids just LOVE marble painting! thanks for the reminder! 😃❤️

🤔 I remember seeing someone’s child’s art of this on the fridge & they said it was make with marbles, to which we all busted out laughing and I forgot to ask how they actually did it… thanks for solving a decades old mystery & looks great too 👏🏻💕🙏🏼
LOL, I am glad I was able to help - also, how cool that a child did this in class, all we got was crayons (and the red ones were always gone)! 😂

Perfect timing, I will have my grandkids over tomorrow and will show them this fun activity/mark making technique. I do not have marbles (I guess o lost them all by now) but have wooden beads. Thanks a lot for this awesome demonstration!!!
Thanks Lena, the wooden beads would work fine, what a great idea to use beads, I hadn't thought of that. Your grandkids will love doing this and hopefully, they will let you keep some of the lovely papers they make! 🥰

Mabel is getting quite vocal these days. She has a sweet little voice. I have used the marble technique a long time ago and thought it was time to try it again when I spotted some cheap marbles in a shop recently. 😀

I bought some sumi ink a month or so ago, and collected some small rocks that are not round. Not sure how it will work out ..but i wanted to see what happens. When i do it, i will tag you on IG! Love how yours turned out. In fast motion it reminded me a bit of spirograph patterns! Super fun video to watch!!!!!!❤

I love these effects too! Time for a trip to the thrift store. Can you keep reusing the same marbles once they're dry or do you have to wash them off?
