Quite possibly my favorite video of the Shikoku Henro so far! Mostly because it threw everything at you, and you kept the spirit up. It feels like you're blazing a trail with this and leading the way for others to walk this path in the years to come!!
It's so much fun watching you improvise and handle the things that come flying at you! This day was a proper adventure! And I always find it interesting to see what gear other people take on their trips. How heavy is your pack with everything inside? Some things that you mentioned in the video: 1. The church that you saw is actually not a church. It's a wedding chapel that you can rent for your ceremony. Japanese people find it romantic to marry in a western looking building wearing all white. There are no (religious) services there and the "priest" is not an actual one but a person that you rent (often a foreigner) to initiate your vows. Churches do exist in Japan, but they normally look like regular buildings. 2. The icecream you had is called a parfait in Japan. It consists of icecream, whipped cream, cornflakes, sometimes cake or cookies and some type of sauce (mostly chocolate). It is very popular and you can find all different types of flavours.
Thanks again for posting, will be interested at you final choice for travel to Hiroshima. I plan to walk to Taisan-ji (T52) taking a small trail from there (T52) down to the ferry Terminal and return the same way. than walk on to Enmyo-ji (T53) and stay close by or take the train up to Hojo from T53. These videos have been very helpful with my planning, stay safe

Great video. I love your attitude when plans go awry.
It happens more often than you think.
Wonderful, you are a great story teller as well as videographer!
Thanks for the kind words!

I took that trail on my way up to 52. You’ll see it. I got a bunch of shots there.
@@Walk_with_Efren Thank you
Be good if you could put the VDLP videos to general release. Been waiting on these for weeks.
I mentioned the video rollout schedule on a community post.
