The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

Would a prime Shaq be a BETTER or WORSE player in the modern NBA?
I think he would be as great as he was in 2000s, maybe slightly better...
His stats would be better for sure. He would be equally dominating tho. His 29ppg in 2000s would be 35ppg today in my opinion
Well there’s not a guy in the league that could slow him down in the paint, maybe embid, but he’s too soft. Hey would put up 30 a night with 15 boards
@@TheDwight12 maybe, but still he wouldn't be as good as Embiid this year or Jokic. Embiid is averaging also 35 points per game, but while Shaw would average those numbers with only dunking on everybody, Embiid does it while shooting most of the time from mid-range and taking threes too. On the other hand, as great as Shaw would be, he wouldn't pass nearly as good as Jokic and he would be nearly as efficient as him. I'm only talking about regular season this year, obviously Dhaq would eat Embiid for dinner in play offs.
He will kill these players 😂😂
This guy needs to be talked about amongst the basketball story telling greats. Would b cool to see a long form documentary style series
Facts , i love this channel
He had passion for what he does he actually cares
this performance is what Phil Jackson meant by Shaq was capable of winning 10 straight MVPs and being the best player ever. it’s interesting how we look back on the Diesel’s career and we can say ….he underachieved. yet 4 titles, an MVP, and 3 FMvPs is by no means an easy feat. it’s just that he could’ve done even more.
and this is what Kobe meant when he said a focus Shaq could be on GOAT convo
Shouldve won some DPOYs too
If he had the mamba mentality he'd been way less likeable but damn he and Kobe coulda ruled the decade
Would be amazing to hear about how Kobe's streak of 40 points stopped to get Shaq encouraged to play coming back from injury
I have a Shaq card with him carrying a Pepsi machine. Im so thankful I grew up during this era of basketball 🏀
2000 was when i really fell in love with the game. It was because of Shaq and how impossible to stop him. Kings gave them a hard time so I started liking the kings too and the rest was history.
Even when he drops 61, he still has a 59% free throw percentage 😂😂 absolutely dominant performance
As long as the stories are not all from the Lakers and Celtics players, I'd be interested in this series.
I read the 3 Ring Circus book and there is another side to the story told it it.
Shaq was trying to get free tickets for his family to watch him play on his birthday but the box office said no. Shaq was mad, of course, because it was his building and he was the best player in the league and he was being told no by a inferior team now sharing a building with the true L.A NBA team! He told Fisher to get him the ball as much as possible and it was a wrap.

How many centers have a better resume?
How many centers played with Penny hardaway Kobe LeBron and d Wade all in their prime
Any other players that he’s played with in their prime, cause that’s a short list for a guy that’s played nearly 20 years
>>How many centers have a better resume?
That's a good question. The answer is "very few."
That said, I think the issue being made here is a comparison between Shaq and his own capabilities/potential, not Shaq vs any other center.
I'm not one of those people who think that everyone should have been as "focused" or intense as MJ and Kobe, but it is not hard to see that Shaq's current level of success makes it easy to overlook the fact that two people that were close to him in his playing days (Kobe and Phil) both indicated that he could have been even greater -- a lot greater -- without being MJ/Kobe-maniacal about it.
Wilt
Hakeem
Kareem
I watched it live. MVP Shaq was unstoppable
Really need see some of those wild Larry Legend stories 🔥🔥
This was probably the best game of Shaq’s career imo
Great video, as usual! Larry's left handed game? or any Larry Bird story for that matter.
Gotta say I do love this series!
Long form documentary style breakdown of the ultimate teams hypothetical season/playoffs when they are finished would be so dope, def would fall asleep to that for a few months
Dude! I love your stuff and think you are cool. This is like "Where's Waldo" with NBA History :)
Great video, Jonny! Shaq is a hilarious storyteller. I remember hearing this story before and I appreciate your research and the info you shared. It is an intriguing game. The thumbnail for this video is hilarious also 😂.
Awesome video again. Have a nice day, Jonny 😊.
After I saw the title of the video I immediately knew what game bro was talking about
There's a bunch of Bird stories. The Xavier McDaniel one, when he tell him where he's going to score the game winner, the 60 points where the Hawks were high-fiving on his baskets, the 3 point contest and "who's coming second" are only the first that come to mind.
Please find footage about the best game magic and MJ played during practice session of the Dream Team 1993
Love these videos!!
Those lakers team was incredible
Great video brother 😎
Dope series
Michael Jordan dropping 50 points on Byron Scott’s replacement
Just wanna help the video
This channel is a daily watch for me
Solid one. Lets go back to 70s Jonny😊
Do the rookie Reggie Miller story when he faced Michael Jordan.
You stay on point my dude, ko.
Saying Michael olowokandi was a decent player almost made me spit my drink out lol
Byron scott's small talk with mj when he was injured and the lakers are playung the bulls..
We rocking Johnny
Geez. It's gotta be a scary sight to see a 7'1" 320lbs Shaq in a full sprint barreling toward you. He looked so fast leading that fastbreak. How can you possibly think of stopping that?
kind of makes me a little sad we didn't get to see how good he could have been if he had put as much effort towards his game as kobe or mj did
1. wouldn’t be shaq if he didn’t have the attitude he has and 2. he dominated individually but was stuck on the magic by the time he won with the lakers he was already getting older and his body was giving out. Imo at 7,1 280 pounds your body is going to give out either way
@@thefaultinourpizza1513
I agree with the former, but he still held on very injury free (relatively) for the bulk of his career
@@Jonathan-A.C. decline without injury is still decline
@@thefaultinourpizza1513
He was around MVP caliber for 13 straight seasons, and he was still actual All Star caliber until 2007
@@Jonathan-A.C. exactly but listen to what the original comment is saying, that he should have tried harder. Dude dominated and by 04 was on the decline, i don’t think he realistically would have done much better
11:32 POINT SHAQ
Anthony Avent played with Shaq in Orlando so he knew he couldn't guard him. And it's Pete Chilcut. Other than that, your story is correct. 😂😂
There's a story of Kevin Garnett telling Isaiah Rider how he was killing Michael Jordan, and then Jordan destroyed him.
Can do you do a video on Kobe's 81 point game?
hey jonny, i’ve been watching you for the past year or so and i remember in one video you mentioned a game in the playoffs where shaq dictated the whole game. which one was it i wanna give it a watch.
I think that's in referrence to games 1 and 2 of the 2000 NBA finals.
Next vid do the history of hand checking
He is definitely the most dominant player ever
I think a cool video would be Kareem’s time with the Clippers.
Larry Bird's left-handed game
You gotta talk about Kobe 61 in the Garden
🏀
How about when Rondo led the kings against the celtics in Mexico city in the worst officiated game I've ever seen?
Nah Kareem in clippers gear is some f*cked up alternate universe stuff 😂
The most dominant low post player!
🎉❤
another Larry Bird story please, but not a famous one !
I'm Scotlands biggest jamal murray fan
Yo!! Got check out the latest post from KG and Paul over on all the smoke March 10 2024 it a 5min clip and they talking about a couple different stories 🔥🔥
🏀⛹️🏀⛹️
I thought he went off on the clippers because he didn’t get tickets for some his family to be there for his birthday
How could Shaq forget about Malcolm X Shabazz High School's (Newark NJ, Shaq's hometown) Anthony Avent??? C'mon, Deisel!!!
The real story is actually better and Shaq should learn those details because it would be so entertaining! How many dudes actually fouled out trying to stop him? How many times did Shaq get fouled total? What an absolute beast!
Shaq was a bad man. Kids now just don’t understand
Dude, Shaq literally said it was his birthday in 2000. 😅
Yeah, this is just his format for this series but yeah he could’ve omitted that in this case
a pissed Shaq is _"Google me" "For rings, dumbass"_
like Kobe said, a focus Shaq could be in the GOAT convo
You’ve been posting a lot about Shaq lately…you good over there?! Lol
Dream 95 vs spurs
HURRY UP AND DO A ULTIMATE ROCKETS 🏀🏀🏀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
Back in the day, the Clippers were one of the weakest teams in the NBA.
Michael Olowokandi, who played against Shaq in that game, was one of the worst first-round draft picks of all time.
“Rather hilarious” 💀💀
Happy birthday dr. Sharkwheel Owekneel
Reason why IT wasn’t on the dream team
Nah. Maybe the Garnett injury year. But if your claim of a dynasty hinges on Perkins, then it wasn’t a dynasty.
.
Man, what they called back in the day... Lebron wouldn´t stand the frist quarter, fouled out.
Shaq is the biggest guy ever behaving like a little kid. He was a great player but I don't like him, a huge momma's boy.
Shaq is a habitual liar... he said David Robinson refused to give him an autograph when Shaq was little... made up the story for motivation
Is Jonny Asian or White. I normally can tell a race from the voice and tone.....except with women💀
Lakers suck 😂, they're kobe in a helicopter
