Four. yay. I love what you've accomplished and find your content more than helpful. I'm a transplant from California, 2 years now. I'm in NE Oklahoma, pawhuska - lake hulah and focusing on lavender on my 2 acre home. I'm adding flowers as I can but mostly for pollinators and my enjoyment. My own park. Also, I'm 70 and just don't have the same mobility as I once had. 2024 we began with 300 lavender plugs hoping to grow to 2600 plants
FOUR! I am in year 4 as well - yay for us!! The kids do such a great job - you are raising wonderful humans!! I'm planting my 2000 today (like you - they've been chilling since Oct) - in a new raised 24 ft bed in the hoop house since I didn't have another place that hadn't been used for tulips before! Crossing my fingers they do ok but a little nervous too!!
It’s so important to realize that winter time for many is a very dry season. If you’re not reliably getting a foot of snow or more over the course of winter, things are going to be quite dry.
Great idea for watering before adding compost😬. Guess I’ll try next year. How do you establish bloom time? Date in ground? Does the weather shift your date? I can’t remember how I established it last year. Thanks!
Are the raised bed boards 2x6 or 2x8? I agree, I like the bulbs upright too. Congrats on starting year 4. I'm trying to gather as much info as I can and plan as much as I can before starting in a year or two. Waiting for a big move.
I was very conflicted about the dump and cover method. I'll let you know how it goes. I have always in years past placed them all like eggs in a basket. Mine are all in a single layer. I planted 6,750. End March historically has been the beginning of our harvest
How much do wholesale bulbs range in cost? Is there a general amount you have to put aside for the big purchase? I've debated about getting a business license to be able to shop Owning(sp?). I'm a home gardener. I cant wait to watch your tulip harvest video 2025. Congratulations on Year 4!🎉
When you dump they are harder to pull as the stem has to bend around the bulb and the stem length is going to be shorter - which is an issue with doubles. Why not spend a couple hours more for a premium result.
I am not doing tulips this year but I'll live vicariously through your videos. ❤❤❤
Great information, especially about the water. Thank you.

Just based on experience having grown them now 3 years. They seem to bloom around a certain time
