When ever I connect my high pressure gauge jumper where the small red air hose connects it kills everything on the dashboard. I removed the the jumper everything works again except the speedometer. I’ve replaced the lightboard, the main jumpers that come off lightboard left, and right, the speed sensor, and speedometer. Any ideas?
Would this also affect the e log? My gauges keep cycling, and it’s sending error codes to the e log (Omnitracs), saying the speed sensor is no longer working, and also it’s showing the engine is shutdown and started, despite the fact that the engine never turned off.
@thetowndrunk988 There’s a 20 or 30 amp fuse driver side under the hood. In Fuse box that is (NOT on firewall) , that helps protect the ECM, if it burns up or is old it can cause gauges to stop working also ELD will stop working. Won’t affect engine function though.
Hello. The mcm fault you clear will come back again because the truck has problem with EGR actuator (engine can) then you need to test the 4 wires between mcm and egr(2 wire can bus and 1 + and 1-)if wires is ok replace the actuator. Kindest Regards.

@@cardo710 Thanks for the info. It ended up being the wires going to the Onguard Collision Avoidance sensor. They corroded and shorted out.

The EGR actuator could be bad, but also check your harness and the MCM can also be the cause. A bad EGR actuator can damage the MCM.
