these buses are nice but they lack the seats always fill up fast forcing you to stand because of the way their laid out notice how most of the aisles are only 1-2 seats? not that great of a design they are good on gas though.
The older CNG buses could seat 39, these 36, so they didn't really lose that many seats. The layout at the front is to make more room for standees (you can fit a lot more people standing than sitting) and also to make it easier for wheelchair to get on and off. The older buses had the forward facing seats in the front of the bus too and it made the front rather cramped.
