I’m always so glad when athletes realize that taking 20 seconds out of their day will make someones whole life. They’ll never forget it. I always have so much respect for athletes that understand that because many don’t. The shocked faces and happy tears say it all. Their idols are exactly who they thought they were and that’s everything. Pure class.

It's so nice to see these sports stars giving their time for the fans. Whether it's a handshake and a hello to being given things, football shirts etc, it means so much to these people especially the kids. One that springs to mind is Brett Pitman. At every Pompey match I've been to I'd see him coming over, meeting young fans, signing autographs etc, and just giving a little bit of his time to the fans which is lovely to see. So heartwarming.
Everytime they saved a fan who was in trouble with security for coming too close, I feel my faith in humanity restored. ♥

Love a lot of these. A lot of players and athletes (including some in the video) forget what it was like to be the fan. These moments mean everything to them. 1 second of your life could mean a lifetime of joy for someone... Pulsic clip was great, lipe great... I've no idea who Gomez is... But he understands. The guy with Stanley cup gets it, the Footie player taking all the selfies gets it. I get that there's a lot that goes on that fans don't see regarding charity and everything else... But, just that one moment... In the moment is everything. One thing is certain... These athletes/players are nothing without Spectators yet they are everything to them. We always talk about not having enough time... But what is time without spreading happiness? It's a gift, a gift that these people can give easily like gods

I can relate to the fan's side. I came all the way from Germany to watch the Boston Red Sox play at Fenway Park. My first time in 40 years. I had a jersey that I wanted to get signed but never dreamed of it really happening. And the person who interrupted an interview in the dugout for me, just to sign my jersey was no one less than "BIG PAPI" himself - #34 David Ortiz!
And on top of it he blew my wife kisses and made her day too. A true gesture of kindness and a very emotional and beautiful moment in my life!

Soldiers fight for their governments, police enforce the governments laws and security guards are pretend cops that couldn’t become real cops. How are they heroes? Police in the US would discriminate you in a heart beat. And professional athletes aren’t heroes they are role models for kids.

I think players are also uneasy when they see grown men racing in because there is always a chance that it is a crazed fan that could do something creepy. For example, I saw some barca fan trying to punch Ronaldinho once even though he said he loved him.
100% agreed, there is nothing adorable as seeing those kids running and crying, I mean its priceless, but as an adult, or as long as you are not a baby kid, and you are crying like the one at 0.40 here, its not only disturbing, its madness.
