I really, really hope that this is not the ENTIRE SPACE that these penguins have to navigate/live? This is a tiny and rather depressing looking room, and I've seen the underwater camera as well. The pool is TINY. I was just hoping that we were only seeing a small portion of the habitat totality. These poor birds look like they're just depressed, quite frankly. And I can't blame them, considering.
each penguin has their individual nest box too which is what they use mostly and the pool is much more expansive in person with plenty of space for them to swim and explore
