Hello, the DISTO X6 requires a DST 360-X adapter. This adapter contains all the necessary encoders and sensors so that P2P measurements would be enabled. FTA 360 is only a passive positioner for better target acquisition.

Can I put the dxf directly into palette cad for 3d design?

We did not try specifically with the CAD program but since DXF is a standard format it should also work with Palette CAD. For detailed information please consult the CAD provider.
