    Thanks for the set of videos Glen, this one demonstrates my preferred set up (using the MSM wedge) and I'm finding getting aligned a breeze (Northern hemisphere).

      Good to hear Ian. The wedge certainly makes aligning easier.

    Thank you for this wonderful instructional video. You gave me a better idea of the size and usefulness of the "Z" wedge. I do like the compass application you demonstrated.

    Glen, Ijyst found your channel, and have subscribed. Please take a look at my reviews for MSM, too. I have a question for you. I prefer to mount my MSM horizontal, I think the 3/8" thread and flat surface is more stable and less prone to shake and wobble. One thing you did not address is how to attach the laser or polar scope to the mount when in the horizontal position. Do you have any suggestion for that. If you do, that would be a great topic for another video. I have seen this question arise on the MSM Facebook page by Steven Barnes. Great job, keep posting.

      Hi Dale. I'll take a look at your channel tomorrow. The laser is shown on one of the other vids but there is a picture of my set-up showing the laser on yje MSM group. facebook.com/photo?fbid=10225470045156871&set=gm.2975158656028890

    Thanks for your videos Glen! very informative. I was going to buy the MSM Wedge, but now I'm thinking instead to get one like you have

      If you want to hold off until tomorrow Anna I'm just out testing the MSM Wedge at this very moment. The Skywatcher one comes as part of the Adventurer kit which I use with my longer lenses. The MSM version is about 1/2 pound lighter and smaller which fits in with the light weight of the MSM.

      @@GlenTillyard I bought this wedge. I was able to purchase it separately from the Adventurer kit - which I will purchase later on. But I am so thankful for your video. You know what kind of instructions came in the box??? Zero! 😲 I couldn't find any online either. Then I remembered you had your video. And you are so explanatory. Thank. you!!!

    What is better, Z platform or the wedge?

    • @GlenTillyard
      @GlenTillyard  3 года назад

      Go with the wedge for precision or the Z platform for travel compactness. Both are useful for different things

    Can you use the sky adventurer wedge with the msm nomad

      Yes but you would need an Arca Swiss adapter which you can get from Amazon
