    Thanks very much Glen. I've watched a few of your MSM videos now, they are great!!!

    Hi Glen! Love the video. I was so confused why the scope had a big black dot in the middle only to realize it was in need of a dioptic focus thanks to you!
    I got the right angle finder inspired by you. I am able to use it quite well with the 1x zoom, but when I go to 2x zoom, everything is blurry. In your experience, have you needed to re-focus when in 2x zoom? I used the focusser on the the right angle finder itself, but sadly it still looks unfocussed

      I have just tried this to double check and I do not need to refocus at 2x magnification. I use it without glasses if that's makes any difference. Cheers Glen

    I wish the MSM with a better fixation of laser or scope...

    For explaining the focus on the scope. I was confused about that one. Great job

    Thank you, that was invaluable - I have the same polar scope and I've not found any guidance about how to set it up, probably wouldn't have worked it out without you so thanks for that!

    Excellent video. MSM directions are horrible and this really cleared up some questions I had. Thanks.

    I bought the new laser that can be calibrated, but it doesn't help if the fixation is constantly different every time during assembly..

    • @GlenTillyard
      @GlenTillyard  Год назад

      Try marking the laser so that it always fits in the same position

    • @yannickroth8480
      @yannickroth8480 Год назад

      I have now attached the screws from the previous laser I have to mark it with an Edding so that it always points to the same position, but that means that calibration is not possible because it depends heavily on the mount!

      @GlenTillyard  Год назад

      @@yannickroth8480 It really does not need to be totally accurate if you are doing wide angle astrophotography. I have used the small guide hole on the mount and easily achieved 2 minute exposure with a wide angle lens

    • @yannickroth8480
      @yannickroth8480 Год назад

      @@GlenTillyard Which hole exactly I haven't discovered yet?

    • @yannickroth8480
      @yannickroth8480 Год назад

      I mostly take pictures with 35 mm or sometimes with 14 but also want to use 135. I don't want to expose longer than one or two minutes at most anyway because I'd rather have more shots than one too long one that could be faulty..
