The most satisfying complete game of the series and one of the best games of all time
I love Yuna’s speech at the end. It’s not only appropriate to this story but also a meta narrative from the devs to the players, asking them to always treasure the time they spent with this game and to never forget it.
So fun to watch you play, brother! You brought back the old good times. I think if Kitase, Nojima, and Nomura really do want to do a X-3, they'll do a good job with the story as long as it is the story that they truly want to tell. With the lore they have developed in the two games, novel, and audio drama, I have confidence that they could give us something good. With time setting, I think keeping it closer to the events of X series would be better, with the VII connection left ambiguous. But then I think, what if... FF itself is the best!
I just wanted to say, thanks for not using spoiler thumbnails NSP! I haven't beat the game yet, not reading comments here and will return when I finish! Too many inconsiderate youtubers use spoiler thumbnails so I have to commend you for not doing so.

Reminds me of Mobius Final Fantasy where they did the whole FFX event in such amazing quality. It really gave the same feels with WoL and Tidus as this. Damn I miss that high quality story, graphics and constant updates.
1:44:52 I remember a quote from Nomura during a KH3 interview where he talked about how Nomura himself is one of the last people at Square that has worked with Sakaguchi and Sakaguchi's idea of what FF is, which is a game that has everything. Nomura also said that he felt newer FF's did not incorporate this idea.
Now I don't think he means it literally, but more so the idea of coming out of a game with this sense of completeness. Almost an illusion that the game had "everything" that you could possibly ask for, which made your journey with it feel fulfilling and complete if that makes sense.
All right square time to make a remake of this game next! I don't care if it is a 1 to 1 remake, I will gladly hand you the money if I can see this game in today's graphics. It would be glorious! I love this game so much. This game introduced me to Final Fantasy. The story, the music, the characters, and even the battle system are all great! "Never forget them"
Coming back to finish this a day later because I didn’t have to yesterday, and I had another thought. I don’t think in order for FFX-3 to happen that Square would need to remake X and X-2 and have another trilogy like FF7R. I keep seeing people say that X-3 can only work if they remake the first two games as setup for the third. I disagree. I think X-3 can stand on its own if written correctly. The story of X and X-2, and the setup of the novel/audio drama, are good enough to serve as lore that new audiences could discover throughout the game. Just like how we learned about Braska’s pilgrimage and the lore of Spira throughout FFX, the story of Yuna’s pilgrimage could be good lore for new players who never played that game.
What if new dead people could become faythe? Auron could volunteer to become the faythe of Odin, then Yuna would be able to summon him. Perhaps Braska and Jectt as well.
Chappu could be another one.
Ff10 is way better than 7 and deserves X-3
The thing is, what would it be about? The story has already concluded. Unless they figure something new out... That'd be tough though to reach what has already become legendary nostalgia level
@@ruganzureggie385final fantasy x-2 was originally going to be a prequel about Jecht. Would it make sense to tell that story so we understand jecht's motivations better?

I’d say about 95% to 99% of the (English) audience that say the story from the novels/audio drama is bad have never actually read it and just go off by the bullet point translations that only talk about the weird stuff and think “this is stupid!”
Case in point: Tidus getting blown up by a blitzball. The novel goes into the story of the war between Zanarkand and Bevelle, and how Besaid was also a part of it. As a war tactic, enemies would disguise bombs as blitzballs to attack Besaid citizens. Yuna and Tidus are transported to 1000 years in the past, before the Besaid we know, and find one of these blitzballs. Tidus not knowing any better kicks it, without knowing it’s a bomb trap.
There’s a lot of interesting ideas in the novel/audio drama, such as a more in depth backstory of the Al Bhed, that can be explored and expanded in X-3. Not saying it’s all good but it’s good GROUNDWORK for where a FFX-3 could go.
