@sbean03 well first of all that He only held it back it was those two captains that actually beat it. Also those weren't captains they were 5 worthless lieutenants. Any captain could beat all 5 of those guys without even useing shikai. The fact that he stopped the fire bird and those guys is impressive compaired to the average guy but byakuya is just as strong as any captain maybe even one of the strongest ones. So it's obvious that it would take everything he had.
sbean03 those were 3 lieutenants btw and i think it was english dub there are minor differences in dub and sub. i would watch sub if you want to watch for the story line
