YOU ARE A LEGEND BRO, iv been trying to on and off learn this for a year and a half now, hopefully il get it in a couple of weeks as this tutorial makes perfect sense!!! Appreciate this brother, this is literally my favourite sound!
I came here to learn a new sound but I’m actually doing it already for almost my whole life lmao Still a great tutorial bc of the way how you explained the position of tongue teeth and lips. Really good job!
@@MazeFrogBeatbox that’s on you. If it’s in your life’s “story”, to continue (youtube) you will. If not, you have something else planned for you! Everything happens for a reason!
ive been practicing this whistle for almost two years now, and went kinda to the same conclusions. I would add that knowing how a whistle is produced helps a lot, i thought these types of whistle were about grabbing with your bottom hole the top hole of your tongue, but it's actually more about blowing air on the edge of your something like blowing on a bottle. However this whistle needs to be trained and mastered quickly, bcz one week of not training it and your go back to the beginning, and it's hard to train for hours because it does put a faire bit of pressure on your jaw. definetely a 10/10 difficulty, only thing more difficult ive tried is the actual true inertia's inward bass, achieved it twice in 3 years after 4 hours of painful training and lost it twice after 20 minutes
@@SnailyTheSnail After watching this video, it took me about 3 months to sound it. But it should be shorter once you understand the principle behind the whistle
Have been wanting to do a tutorial on this for quite some time but you marked all the boxes with better explanation. If you have the Whale Whistle and the laser whistle you practically have the Dkoy whistle 🖤
@@Elantonimus can u give some tips which u find out while practicing that may help. Where I have to put my bottom teeths like parallel aur forward. When I watch people doing it I see different placements of bottom teeth. When I do dkoy whistle it comes like Kara whistle although I got 2 Kara whistle but I want dkoy ones. U also in starting sounded like a Kara whistle?
You can do kind of a laser whistle, easier too, with getting the tongue to the upper lip not the teeth and then you catch it with the lower lip still but dont need to get this to the bottom teeth too. Try it of you want
I've been practicing the D-koy whistle for a month and I haven't had any improvement, I have a question, when we put our hand in front of our mouth, air obviously comes out, does this air have to flow upwards, forwards, or downwards?
Bro, please answer me, when I try to make the d-koy whistle, a wind comes out and it doesn't sound even after adjusting the tongue, what tips could you give me?, I really want to learn this.
Its important to try to catch the air stream with your bottom teeth and have the air circulate under the tongue, for that you need to flatten your tongue a lot and make sure there is space underneath it
Man, I'm training a lot, you could say it's a dream to learn this, currently today, I managed to reach the same sound that you make at minute 7:57, a wind sound, 0 whistle, not even a windy whistle, that's all I can do
I just noticed a lot of similarities between the laser whistle and d-koys bird whistle and so i wanted to try and learn it to find out if i was right, turns out i was 😂
I said so many things in the video, i dont think i can write it all out, maybe try watching it with subtitles? If that doesn't work for you then im very sorry
Any tips for relaxing your tongue like that? I feel like I have the positions down but the air isn't catching on my bottom teeth unless I make the gap bigger
It's under one of your front teeth, between the top teeth and the bottom teeth. Don't force the tongue fold though, it should happen automatically and it will develop with practice.
What do you mean by creating this gap with your tip of the tongue? Is it like putting my tip under the bottom teeth or the upper teeth? Or do I just keep the initial position and relax my tongue to create a gap at the teeth? If so, is the gap with upper or bottom row?
When you do this whistle, does air flow come underneath of your tongue? (ruclips.net/user/liveMCBXtP58xFA?si=2banjnHdvyUrQbl_ 1:36:50 said that.) Because when I do laser whistles, air flow must come from above of my tongue. So I just curious, is that a different between laser whistle and dkoy whistle?
Oh wow i never knew that video existed! No the air does not come from underneath the tongue, thats kind of impossible. But there is space underneath the tongue for the air to circulate in
@@MazeFrogBeatbox ok i see, but dkoy said the air flow would go from under and go up and forward. so i just confused how to actually do it😅 then, ruclips.net/video/XgBxze-P9BA/видео.html&ab_channel=LinkinMovies ballzee said the same things at 00:20. I just think they both do the same thing🤣🤣
