I'd like to see an interview with people like Bruce lipton and Gabor mate talking about unconscious trauma (stress) and the power of our beliefs as that also equates to inflammation and disease...regardless of diet.
I used to be a doc but retired to a farm. We pasture raise our sheep, cattle and chickens. I don't milk my housecow any more so dont raise weaner pigs these days. We're cool/mountain climate here so we dont eat bananas, mangoes etc but enough berries, stonefruit and lemon for some variety . Arnold the steer (raised on his mother, totally pasture raised) just went to Coolroom Camp and will move to the freezer after new year. My kitchen looks like a science lab with jars of (home or locally grown) veg ferments that we use as condiments. No longer overweight, diabetic or hypertensive. I wasted money on doing one of those gut microbiome tests for my toddler (Sent in a stool sample to a lab). The results said to increase the amount and variety of fruits and veggies, which was shocking as he was already eating a high fruit/veggie diet! It seemed that the more fiber he consumed, the more constipated he became. So after discovering the carnivore diet, I switched him to eating more meat (as much meat as I could get a 4 year old to eat 😝), and his digestion has improved significantly! We are an animal-based family now. My IBS is virtually non-existent after switching from a (life long) vegetarian diet.
How on Earth did you get a toddler to eat any fruit and vegetables? My daughter would eat nothing but soft boiled egg yolks and meat on the bone that she would drag around in her mouth all day like a dog. She would also suck the butter and vegemite out of the toast and throw the sucked toast to the dogs. That was 43 years ago and I think she's still doing that. 😅
There is a study of 4 groups that show exactly this. The group that has the fibre as compared to the group with an unchanged diet was the highest group with worse constipation. I feel so lucky to have learned this information and changed my life. I have also learned that there is huge forces in industry that do not wish us to learn this stuff. It’s about the MONEY.
I followed the American Diabetes Association diet and my doctor’s advice and ended up with an A1C at 12. When I asked for a fasting insulin test and a complete blood work up including the count of small and large ldl lipids, I was laughed at and told to take a statin. I decided to go on a keto diet and drop all processed foods and my A1C went to 5.9 and I lost 70 pounds. My triglycerides were 85, Hdl 78 and ldl 150. I had a heart attack May 3 and survived with very little damage to my heart because I was quick to get care and my heart was in shape. My high cholesterol was blamed on my heart attack instead of the years of my diabetes, insulin resistance and obesity. I am now on a carnivore diet and not listening to doctors who want to put me on Repatha. Thank goodness my insurance refuses to pay for it. I am so tired of being lied to by my doctors. Instead of helping me fix the cause of my insulin resistance and diabetes, all my doctors just focused on statins. I just feel like screaming sometimes.
Same here, when l stay on carnivore all systems are working beautifully. The minute l veer away ..bingo... a little pain here and one there. So ... !! 😊
I’m not sure who has the best way of eating but avoiding the obvious processed foods always seems to help a lot. I have fibromyalgia and I’m watching from Australia.
This might be interesting to you. I had bad fibro pain. Turns out, I also had extremely low thyroid levels. Long story short, I started taking iodine supplementation and all the symptoms of low thyroid have gone, as well as almost all of the fibro pain. I just noticed the other day as my cat was walking over the top of me, while I was laying on my side in the bed,, and she was pressing down on the fibro points, that I didn't feel any pain. I'm so grateful for that.
I had fibromyalgia and arthritis. All gone now. It took 1 year of high protein, high fat, and very low carbs but it certainly was worth it. I will stay on this life style. Many days I am 100% carnivore, others I am Ketovore. 85-15
As a person who has reached 77 yo I have to say that for many years we were told by doctors that salt would harden our arteries and of course I now have been diagnosed with atherosclerosis of the brain ... so then I was told it was quite normal for people my age to get this.... so far I have seen 3 doctors who have really not told me anything I havent found out myself. I dont mean to be anti-establishment but I now am faced with 3 major diseases and I am seriously considering going to see a naturopath/ nutritionist if its not too late already. Thank you so much Dr Gary Fettke for your very honest delivery.
You could ask Dr Anthony Chaffee, researcher, Neurosurgeon and is on YT. Good luck. All my metabolic disorders reversed by doing carnivore (mainly Lion though). Never been this well.
Something nobody talks about when carnivore, is that there is zero waste. I have not wasted one mouthful of food in the 7 years I have been carnivore. I have resolved more than 20 ailments. 3 of which I was told were lifelong progressive. They have all resolved and I am living my best health ever. I am 66 and have optimum blood pressure and zero meds. There is no going back for me.
The pet food industry is also guilty of producing a product driven more by profit and shelf life than pet nutrition. Just look at the low protein, high grain ingredients in dog food (meant for carnivores).
Jesse, can you please feature the guest's name in the thumbnail photo, or first up in the title? I nearly missed this episode and it was only because I recognised Gary's face that I ended up clicking on the video. I had hoped I was right it is Gary. A fantastic guest to have. Proud to be a fellow Australian.
I think like Dr. Gary Fettke but in my case I am with small amounts of sauerkraut or sauer cucumbers and meat, sometimes dried apricots. I am Polish /Australian. Great interview . Great DR and Jesse questions are perfect. .
Yup, the liver makes all the glucose you need. Any you eat is "extra". This is true for many animals including true herbavores like cows and gorillas. They become sick eating sugars and starches just like humans.
My diet is just meat eggs and fruit everyday, and i have zero markers for metabolic syndrome. 5'11 150lbs 33yrs old. I lost 50 pounds with that diet. I dont think fruit is bad if you're metabolically healthy
I'm glad that 1:10 you mentioned how complex and confusing it is for people who are not well to work out their own way out of their bad health. There are so many different views on what is healthy and what is not. Most experts on the subject speak in a language that I can't comprehend let alone allow me to get my health on track. I am 71 years old and I don't take any meds but i should because i have very high BP and low heart rate, i excercise most days walking 40 mins, i take good quality supplements and I am in a mess, very tired, dizzy, and migraines most days. I'm going to trust this doctor and follow what he teaches.
It's the problem,, how do we know who is telling the truth but I'm not feeling as good as on a mixed diet almost no sugar but how do I know what is real as meat is fed on grains that is sprayed with glyphosate ,,and what other foods are sprayed with this almost everything and it's not openly spoken about,,
@@lynlawley8903 Hi I have been eating the carnivore diet for one month now and my health is vastly improved. Less body pains, sleeping better, mind functioning better, lost a lot of weight. I highly recommend this diet for you, try it for 30 days and the benefits speak for themselves.
During our childhood, we traveled several times a year to relatives who had a farm and bought meat from cattle, pigs and sheep. My mother stood in the kitchen every day and cooked this meat in jars. the cellar was always full. Fruit and vegetables were from our garden

Great interview. I watch loads of health / nutrition videos and have learned to sniff out the doctors to trust. This is after 40 odd years of suffering from blood sugar problems, IBS, weight gain, high anxiety etc etc etc following government nutritional guidelines.
Brilliant discussion. I've been low carb for a few years now and picked up a lot of good information through this podcast. Well done to Jesse and Gary. Thank you both.
Fascinating. Thank you for bringing this information to our attention. It is helpful to shed the BS that we have heard over our lifetimes from sources, some well-meaning, others self-serving, that we thought we could trust.
Wow! Great video. Amazing info. I love this, and have watched it twice already and send it to several friends. Thanks Jesse and Dr. Gary Fettke. You're the best.
He so right on everything iv been carnivore for almost year and soon as eat somthing that not carnivore I get joint pain very next day and take about 2 days for it to go away people have no idea possin we eating
Carnivore is spreading fast and most in that community have seen Dr. Gary Fettke and his wife Belinda Fettke! They are both awesome! It is our job to keep spreading the word on people needing to watch the Fettkes so more find out the truth.
Also watched The Magic Pill on Prime Video - an amazing documentary which enforces this information and shows the fantastic result of the low carb/high fat diet.
Pizza with olive oil and good cheese is not so bad. And long fermented also. Organic. I eat occasionally really italian pizza 48 hours fermented, a lot of olive oil. And i feel very well after. This is the sign thats the food was not so bad for me.
Yes…or rather “certo!”. It would be a sad & dull existence without the occasional mouth-watering, genuine, authentic, junk-free Pizza Napolitana…sometimes with a few Anchovies for good measure!
I love making and eating pizza but I then have to pay the price of being hungry in a shorter time span than if I just ate beef steak. I think about the last time I made some and what an effort and time it took to make it and just get out some meat that is ready to eat in less than a 10th of the time required to get all those ingredients together and prep. I made loin lamb chops yesterday that took less than 10 minutes of actual time to prep. Sou Vide for 2 hours at 135 deg.f and then seared for 5 minutes on a 500 degs.f for 4 flips @ 1 minute intervals. I didn't have a lot of clean up as well. Steaks and eggs are so much easier than making carb based meals. Leftovers are easier to reheat as well.
Wow Gary fette is very knowledgeable. I learned a lot from this episode. I will be excited to pass it along to ppl and clients of mine. I'm all about about better healthy lifestyle. Helping as many along the way. And quieting all that Propaganda noise outhere. 👍🔥
Yes - there’s so much disagreement on what constitutes the best nutrition. And supporting data and studies from the different camps. It really does one’s head in! At least they all agree on not having sugar and highly processed foods.
49:54 The Pizza Example. This makes a lot of sense now. At some point I was following Low Carb and had a meal plan that included a Low-Carb Pizza with a high fat crust and plenty of protein and toppings. I offered some my roommate who really enjoyed the flavor and was surprised at how filling it was in fact he said it was TOO filling because he felt full after only one slice. He was annoyed that he couldn't eat several sliced like with "normal" . A few hours later, that same roommate got jokingly angry at me about the meal because our friends had come over for game night and brought restaurant pizza and Roommate wanted some but didn't feel hungry enough. He decided to indulge anyway and happily ate several slices. I wondered why he thought it was better to eat several slices of pizza to feel satisfied than to eat one slice and be satisfied. Interestingly enough, I had the opposite opinion when it came to a dessert made with sweetened condensed milk. This pie recipe filling called for a whole can added to cream cheese with lemon juice to thicken. I altered the recipe because I wanted to take it to a gathering that had some people dieting, so I made it with strained Greek yogurt and a non nutritive sweetener to make it just as thick and taste sweet enough. Everyone liked my version of the pie including my roommate, but he complained that it wasn't as sweet(cloying) as the original and he could eat a lot more of my pie, but only wanted to eat a small slice of the original. Mine was about half the calories and and carbohydrates of the original. So Now I'm confused. I think he just wants to find something to complain about my more healthy recipes. The Pie is not intended to be a meal, but the Pizza was.
Incredible !!! I am so happy to see this video! At first, I thought I must be crazy to watch 2:21:24, but now, crazy or not, I am happy!!! And I wish I knew those things 20 years ago! But never too late! Now I know the way to get rid of the inflammation is carnivore or omnivore... And the best part of the video was when Dr.Gery Fettke said: so if it works only for 12 months, so what? Just Do it and see what will happen after...OK.blessings and let's jump on the wagon immediately(I was suffering from DT2 for 20 years, now I kind of reverse it, but still have some inflammation, which I will get rid of ASAP 🙏 ❤
I'm old enough to remember the days when only the elbow benders in the pub, (the beer drinkers) had beer bellies. How on earth do you make a low carb beer?
As a Christian I’m very sorry for what theses people have done under the banner of the church, when they are actually following satan and have been fouled. It’s always the people high up that do this. Many good christians that have been deceived it breaks my heart. Jesus is the way the truth and the life but satan has got into the church in many areas. Once again I’m so sorry Jesus warned us about these people creeping into the church. I do believe we are at the end please do trust God and HIS son . The Lord woke me up to all this corruption in the church. The Lord wants a relationship with you not a religious system.
oh yes - when you give up sugar, even all the wild herbs growing in abundance everywhere are sooo tasty! and btw - mother earth is giving us the nutrient richest of all plants in neverending abundance: stinging nettle (: loads of magnesium too in there .. also on my way to a wild boar + wild herb diet here ^^ +some good local fish and eggs and my 30 year old allergies are going away .. finally after trying everything i am one of these recovering vegans ;D
Omg !! This is the truth. After trying it all Vegan, veggie, plant based, paleo still suffering constipation and trying many “cleanses” detoxes and colonics I pretty much messed my colon up…. ended up having surgery for polyp/fissure last year so now I eat very little carbs and diet of animal products/meat/fat and a little veg and low fibre. My poos and regularity had never been better and definitely in the right track now. I ignored all of the surgeons advice on keeping up a high fibre diet as I just knew it was wrong. Excellent info!

I am the same. I can eat 1/4 cup fresh berries and my BG sky rockets. Forget grains, potatoes or corn. All I eat are green leafy veggies, cruciferous veggies , eggs, healthy fats and meat.
@@vickyburton2434. Yes. I would love to hoe into some fruit. Haven’t had any for 4 years. Also don’t have cruciferous veg because I have Hashimoto’s. Also practically carnivore these days……no dairy. Occasional eggs but feel bad after. I do have fish from time to time. But I remind myself So not feeling deprived…….Nothing tastes as good as feeling well. Hope you enjoy your meals as much as I do.
As a non type 2 diabetic I can control those spikes normally through good metabolic health if I eat fruit sparingly and in season. I’m sure fruit can be a positive food if eaten as nature intended.
Insulin works I did the no carb diet for years but my blood sugar kept rising. I dose basal and before meals it's great I eat whatever in moderation and dose accordingly. Meat only diet is expensive and gets old.
Fruit bread will get moldy very quickly unless you dehydrate or freeze it. It is moist and the fruit in it will start to ferment within a week at best.
Can somebody help? I clicked on here because of the title which said the top 10 foods to not eat. Yet nowhere can I find a summary that lists those top 10 foods leading me to believe that one has to extrapolate a lot of this out of the doctors conversation. Does anyone know what the top 10 foods are because I need to know right now.
Switched to carnivore 3-1/2 weeks ago and am STRUGGLING WITH UNBEARABLE, EXCRUCIATING PAIN, WALKING, MOVEMENT...making me CRY for hours!!! What the hell??? Oxalate dumping? Will not eat oxalate foods again but HOW DO I GET THROUGH THIS AND HOW LONG WILL IT LAST??? DESPERATE FOR RELIEF!! Does anyone even care!!!! HELP!!!!
You may have to retain some oxalate containing foods in your diet for awhile and very slowly wean off them. Cutting them all out suddenly results in what you are experiencing unfortunately. Look up Sally K Norton as she is the oxalate expert.
You should regroup and slowly transition to 🚗 carnivore, even if it takes weeks or months. Cutting all carbs abruptly can lead to severe Oxalate dumping!
Yes…clearly people do care! Anything involving a sudden diet change will affect some people really badly. If you consider what happens when people suddenly cut out one simple thing like coffee, then it shows us how much our bodies adapt over years to what goes in the cake-hole! So the answer is to take it step by step over weeks or months and let your body steadily adapt…which might take some planning. Don’t chuck yourself in at the deep end.
Good topic ,thank u Dr.,hence I eat very clean,no carbs ,yet I have arthritis and joint pains .why I need help. I do have hiatus hernae, whenever I eat my gut hurts. I have acute stress and depression. What can I do to rid arthritis?

Try Carnavore, farm fatty steak, farm eggs, fish , fat cuts chicken
You could ask Dr Anthony Chaffee, researcher, Neurosurgeon and is on YT.
Good luck.
All my metabolic disorders reversed by doing carnivore (mainly Lion though).
Never been this well.
Glad to see you back on the horse Garry!! Love your work mate! Thanks for this interview Jesse!! Much love!!
Thank you 💙
Love listening to Dr. Gary Fettke and his wife Belinda Fettke! Thanks Jesse! ☺️ Newly subscribed as you have me hooked!
Welcome aboard :)
@@JesseChappus thank you! ☺️ Happy to be aboard the JesseChappus cruise! Haha
Thank you again Gary Fettke. I have admired you and taken your advice for 5 years. Please continue to always talk to us all.
Nice to see you again Dr Fettke! Great interview Jesse. Season’s Greetings from the Maritimes!
Thank you! Happy Holidays 💙
The pet food industry is also guilty of producing a product driven more by profit and shelf life than pet nutrition. Just look at the low protein, high grain ingredients in dog food (meant for carnivores).
Have a new pup !! She’s carnivore just like me !!
Agree, 50% of the dogs die with cancer theses days. So sad what they are doing to pet foods.
Great DR and Jesse questions are perfect. .
Thank you 🙌🏻
Yup, the liver makes all the glucose you need. Any you eat is "extra".
This is true for many animals including true herbavores like cows and gorillas. They become sick eating sugars and starches just like humans.
I was one of those people who ate bowls of grapes and cherries. Been on keto for 5 years.
My diet is just meat eggs and fruit everyday, and i have zero markers for metabolic syndrome. 5'11 150lbs 33yrs old. I lost 50 pounds with that diet. I dont think fruit is bad if you're metabolically healthy
Yes- bravo fellow Aussie and now fellow functional medicine practitioner🤝👊🤌People with a brain waking up, finally, very encouraging 🥹🙌🤩
Thank you Jesse and Dr Fettke. You are saving me. Lots of love from New Zealand ❤️🤗
Excellent interview. I've been looking for doctors who can pull it all together.
He is accurate, I've proved it to myself at 65 , lost a lot of my fat, all my other problems went away, to include Insulin,IBS, BP, joint pains
@@daleval2182Thanks Dale.
I learned something new. About vitamin C and carnivore eating. Makes sense. Thanks.
Completely!
"McDonalds Fries" used to be fried in Tallow, but changed in the 1980's to vegetable shortening.
The fat in the air (aldehydes)is as damaging as the fat that Mcd fans eat !! Wouldn’t want to work there ! Super high risk !
During our childhood, we traveled several times a year to relatives who had a farm and bought meat from cattle, pigs and sheep. My mother stood in the kitchen every day and cooked this meat in jars. the cellar was always full. Fruit and vegetables were from our garden
Thank you for this very educational interview.

Massive interview. Thank you for letting him speak without interruption.
Great interview Jesse. Thank you Dr Fettke for all you do and going against mainstream BS. Much Love x
Dr Gary Fettke- gold plated information from a clinician with an exceptionally sound knowledge of biochemistry
Dr. Gary Fettke is Best.
This was a fantastic interview! Full of great information! Thank you!
Awesome show Jessie what I like about you show is that you always ask your guests the right questions
Fascinating. Thank you for bringing this information to our attention. It is helpful to shed the BS that we have heard over our lifetimes from sources, some well-meaning, others self-serving, that we thought we could trust.
Jeese your videos are very special !
Happy Holidays ❣️
Regards from Greece .
Thank you so much! Happy holidays 💙
This man explains his thoughts so clearly.
Great information !! TYVM!❤
Fantastic individuals.
Can you imagine if most people knew this? Big pharma would become little pharma
Carnivore is spreading fast and most in that community have seen Dr. Gary Fettke and his wife Belinda Fettke! They are both awesome! It is our job to keep spreading the word on people needing to watch the Fettkes so more find out the truth.
💙
Also watched The Magic Pill on Prime Video - an amazing documentary which enforces this information and shows the fantastic result of the low carb/high fat diet.
Your videos are amazing Jesse. Had no idea you were Canadian. I was so proud to hear that. 😁

Oil, even olive oil is also prosessed. Wheat flour doesn't have any good reputation. But if you want your carboes.
Fabulous interview Jesse
Dr Fettke Rocks!!
Wow Gary fette is very knowledgeable. I learned a lot from this episode. I will be excited to pass it along to ppl and clients of mine. I'm all about about better healthy lifestyle. Helping as many along the way. And quieting all that Propaganda noise outhere. 👍🔥

Excellent content, great information. Thanks to both for your efforts.
I’d love to see a video with Dr Fettke and Dr Christopher Gardner having it out about fruit & fibre! And that other lot at ZOE and The Proof.
It's harmful. That's it.
Yes - there’s so much disagreement on what constitutes the best nutrition. And supporting data and studies from the different camps. It really does one’s head in! At least they all agree on not having sugar and highly processed foods.
Thank you for such a great interview!

Greatest interview. Thanks.

Great interview with Dr. Gary Fettke Thank you Jesse and Merry Christmas from SW Ontario.
Merry Christmas neighbour :) Thanks!
Thank you! Very informative
Best interview yet!!
Thanks for this! I enjoyed it!
One of your best interviews THANKS
Dr Gary looks very healthy.💕
Another brilliant interview Jesse. Still slaying it x
I'm old enough to remember the days when only the elbow benders in the pub, (the beer drinkers) had beer bellies. How on earth do you make a low carb beer?
Great interview.
The Lord wants a relationship with you not a religious system.
oh yes - when you give up sugar, even all the wild herbs growing in abundance everywhere are sooo tasty!
and btw - mother earth is giving us the nutrient richest of all plants in neverending abundance: stinging nettle (:
loads of magnesium too in there ..
also on my way to a wild boar + wild herb diet here ^^ +some good local fish and eggs
and my 30 year old allergies are going away .. finally after trying everything
i am one of these recovering vegans ;D
Fantastic video.I am really pleased I follow a Carnivore life style
🙌🏻
Please turn on the auto-translate caption for all languages feature please. There are many billions of people who cannot read or understand English. Thank you. PS: If you do not know how, leave a message and I will show you a video that explains the very simple process. It is a 3 minor steps process that takes maybe at a maximum 1 minute.

Proof? Certainly, as a T2 diabetic, one piece of any fruit will rains my blood sugar. I wouldn’t eat 1/2 apple.
@@palerider7924 insulin has severe bad long term effects. Check out Dr (Professor ) BEN Bickman.
great interview! Thanks Jesse!

I should link this to my nutritionist
Fruit bread will get moldy very quickly unless you dehydrate or freeze it. It is moist and the fruit in it will start to ferment within a week at best.
Yup. I think he's mistaken on sugar preserving foods. It's the preservatives in foods, natural or chemically added, that keeps them from spoiling.
The fruit cake lasting is true. Traditional wedding cake will last for years. I used mine for 2 christenings.
17:30 is gold. Thank Harry Truman for the Health Epidemic.
Which is causing more inflammation? Fructose from processed foods or d-AGEs (Advance Glycation End Products)?
great chat.
what about Greek yogurt with blue berry and seeds for breakfast?
Sounds perfect except for the fruit seed part 😊
Don’t eat blueberries with yoghurt. One then the other later on but not together
Yes! The possums ate all our passion fruit (New Zealand).
Dr Anthony Chaffee interviewed a guy who ran 5 marathons in 5 days fasted
HELP!!!!
Yep- that’s your former plant diet at work being dumped!
Sally Norton has a book or listen to a few videos. She recommends a bit of oxalates to slow down the dumping .

What can I do to rid arthritis?
I think narwhals have lots of vitamin C . But I agree with this interview. Great work guys
