I think this is the most difficult Tool song to play on the drums. There are so many changes it's insane. I'm glad I stumbled upon this channel. I love Danny Carey. Subscribed.
As simple and easy it is to play on guitar, it is super complex and hard to play on drums. Its my favourite song by Tool because of this, its so insane. Btw the program that was used to artificially seperate the track is great for hearing how he played it, but the high notes are almost out of phase i would say, they sound compressed, like a 64kbs mp3 xD

This is so cool, I had no idea he used the pattern from that bass riff in so many places. Really helps tie such a complex song together

Lmao my bad, not a perfect program
I hear Tim Alexander, love this tribal sound they play. Has influence my drumming since sailing the seas🌊🧀
I honestly was getting Yes era Bruford and maybe some Genesis era Phil. There’s something kind of late 70’s prog about it.
Literally the coolest shit ever
Bro thank you so much, I can finally hear the exact bongo sounds Danny uses for the polyrhythm
This is amazing. Thank you! Finally I can hear all the details and nuances in isolation.🤘😵💫🤘
You’re doing the lord’s work my friend. Awesome !!
Christ! Where were you all these years buddy?
