Finally exploring Theodore Roosevelt Island in Washington DC!

- Welcome back to our channel! Or if you’re new here--hello, hi, hei, moi--we’re Preston and Krista! In this video with spring in full swing and the trees all abloom in late April 2020, we finally ventured out to Theodore Roosevelt Island in the middle of the Potomac River. From the island we found some beautiful spots to admire the Georgetown waterfront too. After we explored the nature trails on the and capped of the day with some sweet desserts and picked up a Mediterranean feast!

One of the greatest moments of 2020 was finally hiking through the island and discovering the Roosevelt monument and watching my youngest son reading each wall of wisdom for young Americans. Only felt this way as he read every wall at MLK monument too!
Wow and that sounds like an amazing experience as well!
Its nice that the island was made into a trail park!
Was just looking at this place on the komoot app. Maybe I'll get over there soon and see it for myself. I mostly ride the C&O canal around Hagerstown, shepherds town, Harpers Ferry WV. I need to branch out a little now that I'm building up my biking legs.
Had no idea this place existed! We’ll definitely have to check it out one day!
