Exploring Wine Country in Northern Virginia | Day Trip to Leesburg, VA!!

Welcome back to our channel! Or if you’re new here--hello, hi, hei, moi--we’re Preston and Krista! In this video, we make our way west from DC to explore the northwestern part of Virginia. We initially decided to visit to explore the beautiful nature and scenery but we were both unexpectedly surprised when we discovered that Loudoun County in northern Virginia is home to many notable vineyards and is considered to be the Napa Valley of Virginia. We ended up visiting 868 Estate Vineyards, the winner of the 2020 Governor’s Cup! Not only did Leesburg and Loudoun County have a great wine scene, they also had an incredible food and coffee scene as well. We checked out a couple amazing places and can’t wait to visit again. No better way to enjoy a day trip then sip some wine, eat some good food and soak in some beautiful Virginia nature!

Nice! Just found your channel from your Kauai video as we're planning a vacation there this fall. Then I saw this video and thought it was cool cause we live just outside of Leesburg! Hope you enjoyed it!

@@PrestonKrista Of course! I haven't seen all your videos yet so I'm not sure what you have already done, but my wife and I love going to Great Falls Park on the Virginia side. Also not much further across the river in Maryland, there is Sugar Loaf Mountain which is a nice hike. Lastly, I also saw you guys like wineries too. We enjoyed The Winery at Bull Run near Centreville. Plenty more fun things to do in the NOVA area!
