I make $55500 and my wife makes $60000 and we are living on one income and using the other to pay off debt. We will be out of consumer debt by November 2024. So excited.
That’s amazing! Much luck on your journey! I’m also scheduled to be out of consumer debt by December 2024 if I keep at my current plan.
Good for you. Keep going
Hit 200k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with 14k in last month this 2024 investing with Kimberly Smith.
Wow. I'm a bit perplexed seeing her been mentioned here also Didn’t know she has been good to so many people too this is wonderful, I'm in my fifth trade with her and it has been super.
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
I was skeptical at first till I decided to try. Its huge returns is awesome. I can't say much
she's mostly on Telegrams, with the user name.

This is very encouraging to hear about! My spouse and I both work outside the home at this time, but we hope that will change soon. I’ve been worried about living on just one income (low, below average) but I believe with a LOT of sacrifice up front, we can make it work!
Great video. Im a huge Blcktken300 fan and love your videos on it.
I am 38 and my husband 40. We just finished paying off or $320k debt, including our home. It took us 2.5 years on gazelle intense. We are living under our budget and meaning. 04/05/24 was an amazing day for us. Now, we just have to start saving and investing for retirement.
Your guys rock!
I love that this is your focus. More like this please. Keep beating the drum of hope and truth with these stories because it can and should still be done. You can become a millionaire if you save and invest consistently thru out your working career even on a low income. Belief is SO powerful!!
Rachel...you are a great speaker...can you please make these videps without the background music?
I'm DCAing in Blcktken300 as well. ETH heavier DCA and ALGO. I'm taking your advice and starting Google tomorrow with a 50 dollar purchase and continuing Microsoft and Apple. VTI and VOO on another app and longterm portfolio. Here we go family!
Can I just say it's so refreshing to see a naturally beautiful looking presenter. Just recently discovered your Dad & yourself, already listened to 2 books on audible from your Dad & now following you both. Feeling excited in having clear steps for getting out of debt & going from there.
My daughter is a elementary school teacher that makes about $50,000 a year. We have taught her to make the maximum 401 k, save 10% of her salary to put in a high yield savings account. She lives below her means and is frugal with her money. She makes most of her meals at home but still has some fun money to spend with her friends. She uses free events in her neighborhood, uses the library instead of buying books. Most of her furniture is hand me downs from us. Luckily she will have a nice pension when she retires. It is possible!😊
so she will live like a dog her entire life so she can retire with a nice pension. that is if she is still alive at retirement age
@@hautecouture2228 Is that necessary? So rude!
@hautecouture2228 nah. That's not it. She will fine and most importantly NOT BROKE.
@@hautecouture2228actually, she doesn’t live like a dog, she has a very nice life and is happy. You must be a very unhappy person

Trying so hard to be this success story as a millennial with these housing AND rental prices. And no I don’t live in California or New York. Rent is currently 60% of our take home pay. We are debt free and saving/investing very small amounts. We are going to try to downsize to a smaller apartment but it’s tricky with a family of four. Really we just need to save for our next vehicle…maybe one day we can save for a house
You may be at the spot where unfortunately the only thing to do is make more money. Look for growth opportunities, and make sure you’re in a place of work where growth is possible.
Yeah we’re working on it! I’m doing DoorDash and Instacart in the evenings. My husband is going to give it one more year at his company. If he doesn’t have opportunity for growth. We’ll start looking for a different career.
@@littlelana696 best wishes to you and your little family 🙏
@@littlelana696 i just got into the insurance industry as a field adjuster. It’s a local work from home job, company car, computer, etc with no insurance experience and it doesn’t require a degree, and i got a starting salary of 70k with zero connections to the space. Plus i get 23 plus days of PTO, etc. the insurance industry is going through lots of changes and lots of companies are hiring. Look into it!! :)
Thank you 🥰 same to you!
While everyone in here is scrimping and saving foolishly thinking they’re getting somewhere, I just bought a small warehouse with my business partner and we’re renting the space out to local plumbing and HVAC businesses.
Follow Dave’s plan if you want to stay average.
I’m in the empire business and we don’t sweat the small stuff here.
this is about average employee and how to be prudentand invest, that having an average wage is not a hindrance for a comfortable retirement.
Plus I Respect Mr Ramsey the only thing I don't understand is he tells Society and The General Public not to go into Debt yet Many Low Income Families have no choice specifically how is it possible to get out of poverty
My husband and I have been struggling for most of our adult lives with money, we are 55&52 ….two job lost , two heart attacks(husband). At this point I think I have 10 /more good working years . How can I invest ?
I’m still trying to earn my first million 🤠👍💰
I'm so happy I made productive decisions about my finances that changed my life forever, hoping to retire next year.. Investment should always be on any creative man's heart for success in life
That's awesome!!! I know nothing about investment and I'm keen on getting started. What are the strategies?
in my case Stacey Macken has assisted me in doing that effectively, I'm not an expert so I lack experience in investment strategies, I work and my consultant handles the rest....
YES! that's exactly her name (Stacey Macken) I watched her interview on CNN News and so many people recommended highly about her and her trading skills, she's an expert and I'm just starting with her....From Brisbane Australia
This Woman has really change the life of many people from different countries and am a testimony of her trading platform .
Wow. I'm a bit perplexed seeing her been mentioned here also Didn't know she has been good to so many people too this is wonderful, I'm in my fifth trade with her and it has been super
This is so encouraging. I’m about to graduate and job searching has been overwhelming, but seeing these numbers reminds me that this is doable.
I offer my encouragement to you. Remain steadfast and you will get there.
Don't listen to the negativity, many young people today are just plain lazy. Stay the course and you will be successful. Cheering for you my friend :)
69 years for 3m is a madness🤦. Meanwhile Dave is 60 with over 200m. What does Dave do to have over 200m from being broke at 24 meanwhile he teaches about making only 1m at 60 years🤦
I'm a citizen minority been in the state 12 years climbing up with job to job till now I make 74k a year no America degree but job experience only. Too bad current company going down tube that everyone about to lose their job n mine as well. Kinda nervous not to have this income no more. Economy need to recover 😫 😩 😪
What if you want to be a millionaire before retiring? Who wants to wait until they are old to be a millionaire? Life expectancy is 78 years old and retirement age is 67 so who wants so short of time to enjoy retirement.
Then get to work and make some sacrifices. You can create a business and sell it, but that takes time, sweat, and tears. Good luck. 🥂
@@jorlowsky469 I will. I Was just praying to God about it. Thank you!
A paid for house in a republican state 1.25 million in retirement you can retire for me at the rate im going should be 55 years old wife be 61 im 38 now
- Make more money (getting higher paying job, having multiple jobs, etc)
- Outside of your retirement accounts, also invest a favorable portion of your income rather than spending it
- Live below your means until you can actually afford things (buy used cars, live in smaller/non-luxurious apartment with roommates, cook at home, buy things on sale, etc)
- Start investing early on (retirement accounts, your own brokerage account, etc)
- Learn and research how to invest properly (prob mostly buying ETFs with low expense ratio that follow S&P500, small percentage of ETFs that follow technology stocks, etc)
+ a lot of other things. Like someone else mentioned above, it takes a lot of sacrifice especially for people who don't make much money. Save and invest your money rather than spending it on fun stuff/activities (esp when young) and you'll be surprised how much it adds up after 7-10+ years. You can set aside some small fun money to still enjoy life but almost all should be going towards growing your net worth.
and the likelihood of your health suffering if you eat cheap food and don’t go on holidays is high
Save over time.
I am going to do this making 30K!
you can if you start early.
Unless living at home or off of others that would be about impossible off 30k. Especially if you want to have a family. Choose a good career with growth and stick to the trade or sector, and as you become an expert you’ll make much more.
Congrats!
@@Davefitz04
Family of 4 with a 30k annual cost of living here.
Impossible is a difficult statement to defend
@@alexpietsch7997 i said about impossible, meaning nearly impossible lol
Do these people actually get to enjoy their live? I mean I get it great to save for the future is important, but will be able to do the things at that time they retire?
I’m sure they will if they’re in good health. My dad is just approaching 65 and he’ll be retiring shortly after working 45 years as an engineer. He is the healthiest fittest person I know and I know he’ll do so much during retirement and is gonna be overwhelmed by all the time he’ll have. He goes to the gym regularly to stay in shape, we do family holidays once a year and we always do family cinema/zoo/get together trips. We have so much fun cause (thankfully) he is in very good health and shape. We literally did a 10k race together last year. My mum is similar though is just shy of 60. I cannot get her to sit down and chill, she’s always busy. I don’t doubt that these retirees will be able to enjoy the rest of their life. As long as they are healthy and have a good lifestyle, I don’t see why not 😅
He might not make a lot of money but he is a Veteran. He probably gets about $50-80k tax free a year plus free health care, free meds, free car tags, 0 property taxes....I'm sorry but that is a terrible example. Regular folks don't have all those hand ups from the government
The military is always hiring 🤷
@@shanep2760 not if you've had cancer 🤷
Regular folks dont fight wars either do they
It’s definitely possible. Save money and that’s about it.
Yes!
The whole point of wealth for me is freedom. My magic number in my mind is 5 million needed at 65 to not worry about anything. Am i better off investing a good portion of my income into stocks or saving my earnings to achieve this goal?
Having multiple income streams and living within your means is smart. Despite having a net worth of $2 million and being able to pay my bills stress-free, I choose not to live extravagantly and have no complaints.
This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.
@@noah-greeneMind if I ask you to recommend this particular coach you using their service?
Credits goes to " Gertrude Margaret Quinto " one of the finest portfolio managers in the field. She's widely recognized; you should take a look at her work.
I just looked her up on the web and I would say she really has an impressive background in investing. I will write her an email shortly.
Love you sleeveless sweater ❤
I was thinking the same! Rachel is telling us not to spend money. I m looking online to buy a blouse like hers 😂
Rachel, it's hard to convince the perpetual victim class that they can make it in this world. They will always find an excuse.
You are so right!
A million dollars won't be enough to retire on in 30 years, however. I would aim for $5 million which is possible if you invest $7000/month.
You actually only need $4411 a month, at 7%, for 30 years. Stock market averages about 10%. Still possible 🤷
I make more so it’s possible for me!!! 😊🎉🎉🎉 thanks Rachel
This is kinda disingenuous though, cause that first guy clearly had $500,000 at least in lawsuits if he's got 250k in annuities, and 250k in settlement cash... That's like being impressed that a McDonald's worker making $7.50 an hour lives in a mansion and retired, but neglecting to include they won the powerball
What about the other 3.1 million?
@@davidmason777 the 3.1 million evaluation includes the $510,000 in settlements and annuities
The only money aside from that is a $450,000 house (which isnt impressive in this market and Orlando Florida)
$160,000 cash, again only 3.3 times his salary at age 69
And 1.6 million in retirement, that possibly is the result of government pensions, or more settlement money, or using some of the settlement money to invest and grow.
My point is, he's ex military and was given most likely over half a million in money, for him to be a millionaire isn't farfetched, and it definitely wasn't due to his 48k income
Plus, you have to realize that people in the military get a lot of their stuff paid for them. Almost $0 in bills.
Getting my own Truck has always been my Dream for my business. I just acquired 2 recently, earning $12K weekly has been really helpful. I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support Charity Organizations.

My outlook on money changed when I realized someone making $300,000 can retire broke & someone making $80,000 can retire a multi-millionaire. With the current market movement, you have $100,000 to invest. Where are you investing it?
I believe a healthy portfolio has 3 things, at the bare minimum: Exposure to ETFs for increased diversification, Exposure to assets that generate cash flow like dividend stocks, Exposure to market-leading tech.
Money advice varies, what works for one may not for another, but planning is key. Exposed to personal finance early, I started working at 19, bought my first home at 28, faced job loss at 36 during COVID. Consulting a CFP helped grow my finances. Currently, I'm 25% short of my $2m goal.
Wow, please let me know how i can get in contact!
She goes by ‘Melissa Elise Robinson’ I suggest you look her up. To be honest, I almost didn't buy the idea of letting someone handle growing my finance, but so glad I did
Thank you for sharing, I must say, Melissa appears to be quite knowledgeable. After coming across her web page, I went through her resume and it was quite impressive. I reached out and scheduled a call.

Be careful with Christian health care they don't cover preventative care for babies I got stuck with a huge bill luckily they worked with me and I changed my insurance just make sure u really ask and look into it
Samaritan Ministries doesn’t cover any routine wellness care either, but the monthly amount you pay is very low compared to insurance. You should be saving yourself for preventative care. You are able to control what you want to pay for.
Been better to actually hear the stories from them and not a telephone message via Rachel in my opinion
They must not be buying insurance on anything or going to the doctor on 50k salary

Easier said than done. Impossible to save and pay a mortgage on 50K. You can't even get a mortgage. The price of food and taxes and rent and a family, car payments, car insurance. This is not reality. Sorry.
