Absolutely brilliant review of the A3 PHEV!
Best car reviewer I have watched ❤
Brilliant review. Super interior.
Nice looking, quality motor. But an Octavia is too and much better value. I'd have an estate one of those, I think.
thanks for your honest review! enjoyed it.
Thanks for watching!
I think the wheels are about right sized, as far as plug in hybrids go the Skoda is cheaper, bigger and has more toys for less money. For me all Audis are hideously overpriced for what they are. All folk are paying for is the badge.
I’m a sucker for the design and Audi lights. Not that I can afford it. Kia picanto owner ✌🏻😅
Would it fair to say that you found the Audi A3 35 TFSI Sportback petrol a more confortable and better handling car than the plug in version. Thinking of upgrading.
Handling, a little yes. Comfort levels around the same with the S-Line setup.
beautiful car
How it will heat the cabin ? ICE or electric heater/heatpump ?
She's a beaut!
How does that colour look in real life vs on video? Much difference?
Greetings from 🇨🇦
Quite similar, it’s a flat colour but very vibrant. Not quite the sprint blue colour that they do but not far off.
Agree about the wheels being too small, I can't unsee that arch gap... lovely car though
Nice car
My 2018 doesn't charge the battery completely on the Go. . It has only 3 modes It only charges enough to work as light hybrid. The 2013-2016 models did . They had 4 modes. EV , . Hybrid , BAttery Hold and Battery Charge. Does the new model have the battery charge mode?
I'd love to know the same
What is the spec on this car ? This has the black styling pack etc and upgraded alloys. Don’t believe this is a standard S Line in the UK
S-Line with these options
Optional Extras
Black Styling Pack €385
Black Exterior Mirrors €135
Comfort package €1,156
Interior Ambient Lighting, multicoloured €143
Privacy Glass €450
Hi Nobby, would you prefer this over the formentor of the same engine variant? Im seriously in a dilemma..
I'd take the Cupra just to be different!
@@NobbyOnCars thanks!!
I’d go for the Golf Ehybrid, Identical Drive train but shittier interior
Has anyone used this car on a motorway? If so how does it perform. I currently have a 30 tfsi and they gets above 60 mpg on most motorways.
Is the engine quite economical?
PHEVs generally are not amazing on motorways as their range depletes quickly. You can use it in hybrid mode for some better consumption but in EV mode it won’t last long at all.
@@NobbyOnCars I don't just do motorway driving, I do quite a bit of city stop-start sort of driving.
Is the 1.4 petrol engine it comes with better on fuel than the 1.0?
@@taylorthrall73212L per 100klms at hybrid drive
It’s just a shame that Audi left the interior door frames in bare metal, in this version. A cost cutting backward move.
The black housing is always a nice touch.
On a premium brand too
Audi or focus ?
Well if money were no object... Audi. Love the current Focus though ST Line pack in blue 👌🏻
The way modern car companies make you buy a ‘pack’ to get one feature that you want, makes me sick. Example, I want adaptive cruise, I have to pay £1800 to buy a pack containing a bunch of other stuff I don’t need. Add to that, I also have to pay £100 for adaptive lighting that I don’t need, because you can’t get one ‘assistance package’ without the other. At least dick Turpin wore a mask.
I wouldn’t bother with adaptive cruise - regular cruise control is far better in my opinion. Or, as in my mk 2 TT, no cruise at all and actually drive the car. My daily is an ETron and all I do is turn all the stupid driving aids off every morning!
@@chrisp3330 I agree with turning off most (especially ‘Lane Keep assist), but AC keeps me sane on long commutes. Luckily on my current car you could option it individually.
Hard to justify the price tag
It is the next German joke!
what is range in ev mode ?
30-40kms
I have one...its around 30 miles with my 18 inch alloys..17 inch gives a further 8 miles ish..
60 klm with 16 inch wheels
Plug-ins are pointless... Still all the issues of a petrol engine but with all the weight and toxicity issues of a battery too. Silly cars for silly people who haven't undersood what's happening
Nonsense, for some they are a great option. I haven't had to put fuel in mine for 4 months! Performance is excellent and petrol engine is serviced for free! Who's silly now?!
What is happening? More choice?
It works amazingly for me. I use it as EV to commute to work and then it gets 40 mpg when I travel and use it as Hybrid. No range anxiety. No long stops to charge. No getting out of the way to find a charger. No lines when chargers are busy. If you look into Japan , they much prefer Hybrid cars and they are not stupid. They are way ahead of the world in technology.
@@finnmanproductions9240can't be more choice if theyre stopping combustion engines in 2035, or trying to.
