    I think the wheels are about right sized, as far as plug in hybrids go the Skoda is cheaper, bigger and has more toys for less money. For me all Audis are hideously overpriced for what they are. All folk are paying for is the badge.

    Would it fair to say that you found the Audi A3 35 TFSI Sportback petrol a more confortable and better handling car than the plug in version. Thinking of upgrading.

    • @NobbyOnCars

      Handling, a little yes. Comfort levels around the same with the S-Line setup.

    My 2018 doesn't charge the battery completely on the Go. . It has only 3 modes It only charges enough to work as light hybrid. The 2013-2016 models did . They had 4 modes. EV , . Hybrid , BAttery Hold and Battery Charge. Does the new model have the battery charge mode?

    Has anyone used this car on a motorway? If so how does it perform. I currently have a 30 tfsi and they gets above 60 mpg on most motorways.
    Is the engine quite economical?

    • @NobbyOnCars
      @NobbyOnCars  Год назад

      PHEVs generally are not amazing on motorways as their range depletes quickly. You can use it in hybrid mode for some better consumption but in EV mode it won’t last long at all.

    It’s just a shame that Audi left the interior door frames in bare metal, in this version. A cost cutting backward move.

  • @siblej1
    @siblej1 2 года назад

    The way modern car companies make you buy a ‘pack’ to get one feature that you want, makes me sick. Example, I want adaptive cruise, I have to pay £1800 to buy a pack containing a bunch of other stuff I don’t need. Add to that, I also have to pay £100 for adaptive lighting that I don’t need, because you can’t get one ‘assistance package’ without the other. At least dick Turpin wore a mask.

    • @chrisp3330
      @chrisp3330 Год назад

      I wouldn’t bother with adaptive cruise - regular cruise control is far better in my opinion. Or, as in my mk 2 TT, no cruise at all and actually drive the car. My daily is an ETron and all I do is turn all the stupid driving aids off every morning!

    • @siblej1
      @siblej1 Год назад

      @@chrisp3330 I agree with turning off most (especially ‘Lane Keep assist), but AC keeps me sane on long commutes. Luckily on my current car you could option it individually.

    • @segredosdotiosam9989

      It works amazingly for me. I use it as EV to commute to work and then it gets 40 mpg when I travel and use it as Hybrid. No range anxiety. No long stops to charge. No getting out of the way to find a charger. No lines when chargers are busy. If you look into Japan , they much prefer Hybrid cars and they are not stupid. They are way ahead of the world in technology.
