This series by Dr. Sohaib Saeed definitely helps open the doors to a deeper understanding of the Holy Qur'an. I would strongly urge the viewers to also see an interview on youtube, of Prof. M.A.S Abdel Haleem titled: Translating the Qur'an for Today with Prof. Abdel Haleem. It is an excellent introduction to the Holy Quran.
May Allah reward you all for the effort and work that you put into making the Global Quranic Calendar! I really love being able to watch and learn a bit more about the Quran each week. It is a blessing to be able to listen to Sheikh Sohaib explain a bit of the meanings that we wouldn’t know when just reading the translation, especially for a surah like surah Tawba where people can easily misconstrue the ayahs, like how he mentioned in the episode.
The ayah..in surah tawbah holds weight much like its fragile threads that spins its web in a covering, once many years ago, a diplomatic friend of my dad, walked toward a telephone booth, Called some people warning of troubling looming, what occurred next.. he was surrounded by the security and guns aimed at him, they asked to raise his hands, and submit, he did so. And he uttered this لا تحزن إن الله معنا. They immediately dropped their weapons, and walked away. Allah' help was instantaneous. How amazing!

I love this series though listening in spotify. Being catching up and reading iregularly with good translation and bigger portion which is very eye opening. I have also started to see connections. I normally read translation trough in Ramadan in my mother language but this english translation is way better and arabic next helps in learning. Your explanations and reflections help understand. May Allah put barakah in your work. This series is something I have wished to come across. And alhamduLillaah the time was right now.
