Fun fact: it is actually possible to run and aim with certain small guns in the PSP version. Just start running and get into aiming mode without stopping. You will be running in one direction only, but that is still very useful, and you do get to choose what direction to run in, of course.
you can do that on the pc version of gta 3 and vice city aswell (actually all versions besides mobile and definitive edition) you tap the sprint button and shoot, this works with all the one handed guns but the issue is that on ps2 you cant use auto aim with this little trick

It's just a LOT of fun :-)

The GTA Stories games on PSP were great, but there was something about those games that highlighted how bad the PSP's motion blur issue could be (at least orig model, if I'm remembering correctly, later models screens had an interlacing issue?). I had a lot of fun with the PSP, despite it's issues, so picked up a Vita. It's a shame Sony support of Vita dropped like a stone, but if you buy games like GTA Vice City Stories (psp) on PSN, you can play them on the Vita. Between the better screen and the improved analogue sticks, it makes the Stories games a much better experience. I think I got the Stories games bundled with 'Chinatown Wars', which was a very different GTA game (PSP ver was a port from DS), but definitely worth trying. I liked how it handled escaping the police chases, you basically had to run them off the road.
@Paul Bell I don't think I ever played 'Chinatown Wars' on the PSP, I had it on the DS and always found it funny that on the family friendly DS, you were using its touch screen to do drug dealing across its city. The PSP game plays well on the Vita, just a shame that the main PS Store removed Vita, PSP etc games. You can still get them from the Vita's store, for now at least, but it's store app is pretty clunky. It does make me worry, sectioning them off to the Vita store only, it felt like the first step before closing off Vita downloads completely. When I bought 'Chinatown Wars' for my Vita, I think it was part of a Vita bundle with the 'City Stories' games. I got it in a sale and I only knew they'd been reduced because I'd added it to my wishlist, a function which was also removed...
@Paul Bell I totally forgot about the PSP Street. I only ever had an original model PSP 1000, which I got in '05, I ended up installing custom firmware on it but not to pirate PSP games. You could rip PS1 games and then play them on the PSP, so one of my most played games on PSP was the original 'Gran Turismo'. Some games, like GT, ran flawlessly but I think 'Tekken 2' looked like it was running in slow motion, 'Tekken 3' worked well though. It's weird that I went to all that trouble to play PS1 games on PSP, but I've owned the three PS3 models since '08 (80GB phat lasted about 4 years, 12GB super slim lasted about 5yrs & finally a 160GB slim) and don't think I ever played a PS1 game in any of my PS3s. I also used to fill my PSP memory card with MP4s of films or TV I'd ripped from my DVDs, although in the early days you couldn't play native res (480x272) videos, it was limited to 368x208 and the files needed to be named a certain way. I imagine the UMD film format delayed native res support, but it was added eventually and the files could be named normally (plus a more user friendly VIDEO folder to drop files into). I had/have a decent collection of PSP games, but can't remember them all off the top of my head. I know I've got the City Stories games on UMD, 'Lumines' (which I think was how I got the custom firmware), 'Loco Roco', Tekken Dark Resurrection, Ridge Racer etc.
