LOL I know, was teasing haha though on a serious note too that would be neat! I too would love to see Lincoln on the side of one, would be amazing. I did not recall that he had The Rock as a client, thanks for sharing that!
Great catch! Would like to see it close up, nice.. How I wish UP would send it back and forth in Chicago! Imagine the Zero O'Booboo color scheme, Black with White stripes, maybe a yellow streak?
So it turn out that UPY 1360 had been scraped and has been turned into a GP40-2. It would have been better to see the old UPY 1360 (SW1500). But the George W. Bush looks pretty good in 2007 though!
I've rode that Locomotive a few times through College Station...Thats where it was presented to Georg W. Bush. I know the engineer that got to take Bush for a ride on UP 4141. Also the presidential seal on the locomotive is from Air Force One
# 4141 was assigned to houston / ft.worth service for a few years. all this you see here is pretty much shut down as of 2018. changes made by the new V.P. of operations brought in from CSX.
Yes they use it to move freight. All the Time. All the Heritage units move freight. They do use it for special events and special trains also. I work for UP in Houston
Interesting to see an American loco in a non-standard livery. Its a bit like the 'Royal' Class 67s we have over here in Britain to haul Her Majesty's train. There were also some Class 47s based at Stratford (London) that were decorated with our Union Flag (not the American one) to commemorate the Queen's Silver Jubilee.
Hi, TJM6515 This was a great video. I like the shunting engines. Can you check what model of both engines in front of MP15DC ? They are so special which I had never seen. Thank you very much. Have a nice Thursday, Tony
This is a very nice Mearsk unit, this SD70ACE unit is awsome with the meask colors. Mearsk line and Union Pacific had this unit dedicated to George Bush 41, you may remember about the Iraq war but must have forgoten that Union Pacific transported all the military equiptment on rail. The Mearsk Line trasported by sea, I hauled many shipping containers from the military in texas to the Mearsk ships in the port of Houston. Look at the colors closely and think Mearsk and Air Force 1 colors :-)
lol Nice Unit but for a second I thought were talking about Dubya and not his Daddy. Big Bush was a dogfighter! Only right to commemorate a Paint Scheme to him
Saw a small engine like this pulling out of Cheyenne one time a few years back. Was inbetween some of the newer generation engines and yes it was running it's and working hard to keep up. Kinda neet seeing that !! Wish i would have had a video camera to film it -- sigh !!
How many times has that train engine been on a railroad route that is double track? Are all of the rail routes in that area already double track? Are all of the rail routes in Texas planning to be double track in the future?
@rockguitarist946 And what about all of the Amtrak workers? I take Amtrak each year to Chicago, the train was full. The problem with Amtrak is the delays. Amtrak has had a increase in ridership on most routes. Many people use Amtrak daily such as on the Acela to get to work. Amtrak is the solution
WOW Sd70ACe engines are beautiful engines. This engine is very cool looking. To bad it is a western ran engine or I would have a model of it in HO to run with my Norfolk Southern stuff.
That is so cool (Y) i want to drive that train with that paint scheme :D i have one more year until i can get a job with the railway (Y) Are you a locomotive Engineer?
Ex Mil here. The reason the flag faces backwards on the uniform is because we always head toward the fight (think Civil War guideons) and never retreat. Not because Bush was NG lol Didn't he go AWOL?
Sweet! Nice catch indeed! And, all politics and opinions aside, there should be one for each sitting president, don't you think? Kind of honoring the Commander in Chief...in most cases, voted into office by the populace...
I finally got to see this locomotive in person and after 15 years or so she still looks amazing!!
I like both trains! A UPY North Little Rock Lettering MP15DC and two green goats, then UP 4141 leading a C44-9W and a KCS Grey SD70ACe! Nice Catch!
That's a c41-8w
Very classy looking locomotive!
Wow that is one elegant looking locomotive, almost to darn pretty to run on a normal track. It looks so cool latched up to another UP.
Nice video! Excellent shot of a couple of SD70ACes along with the yard action.
LOL I know, was teasing haha though on a serious note too that would be neat! I too would love to see Lincoln on the side of one, would be amazing. I did not recall that he had The Rock as a client, thanks for sharing that!

I have seen this unit. I saw it up at Jenks in June of '11. Ashame she is not running.
It looks awesome!!! Really stands out.
So it turn out that UPY 1360 had been scraped and has been turned into a GP40-2. It would have been better to see the old UPY 1360 (SW1500). But the George W. Bush looks pretty good in 2007 though!
When I was on an Amtrak that had broken down right next to a UP yard, there were GP15s EVRYWHERE! They are so cute and tiny!
Be a nice loco to have on a layout. One of a kind.
This is the first time I've seen an engine named after a president. In 1976, several railroads painted one of their engines in the Red, White, & Blue.
I've rode that Locomotive a few times through College Station...Thats where it was presented to Georg W. Bush. I know the engineer that got to take Bush for a ride on UP 4141. Also the presidential seal on the locomotive is from Air Force One
What a beautiful locomotive and now, a part of American history.
Albert Meza yes
You literally saw three rare units in one sitting. You are so damn lucky!
So is that supposed to be Rail Force One?
kansasbeals it's not numbered the 4141 for nothing it is numbered that way because of Bush 41
Yep
# 4141 was assigned to houston / ft.worth service for a few years. all this you see here is pretty much shut down as of 2018. changes made by the new V.P. of operations brought in from CSX.

I have the N scale model by Kato of this engine. Great shot and good sound of the engine.
Hi, TJM6515

Have a nice Thursday,
Tony
Very cool, glad they made this engine !!!
Good!
Wow 1360 is chugging back doesnt sound healthy!!! I needs to retire! LOL! Nice catch too
@rutaloot it's been repainted/renumbered to 3778, and also is a SD70M
This is a very nice Mearsk unit, this SD70ACE unit is awsome with the meask colors. both are SD70ace's only railroads to have SD70m-2's are CN and NS that i know of. Great video
heh just saw that GB 4141 loco here in my town on 12/18/08 on BNSF doing switching!! did take pics too lol
UP did a nice job with the Heritage units.
like it or not, it's got a really nice sounding horn...
OMG! What kind of people would name anything after such an individual?
That was cool so what do you call the Air Force One version of a passenger train?
@rockguitarist946 Same here, unless a vintage diesel or a steam locomotive is involved.
Somebody enjoyed painting that loco.
It's a mirrored image of the flag as if it can be seen directly from the other side, where it is actually forward!
Nice catch!!!
Wrong. The SD70 ACe is the newest locomotive EMD has come out with. This unit was built in July of 05.
Question from Australia here but is it just one painted up or do they have all presidents done on loco's?
Awesome video too mate well done.
lol Nice Unit but for a second I thought were talking about Dubya and not his Daddy. Big Bush was a dogfighter! Only right to commemorate a Paint Scheme to him
Reminds me of the funeral train for Abraham Lincoln and the times that presidents or candidates like Teddy Roosevelt rode by train.
NICE WHAT AN AWESOME CATCH!
Saw a small engine like this pulling out of Cheyenne one time a few years back. Was inbetween some of the newer generation engines and yes it was running it's and working hard to keep up. Kinda neet seeing that !! Wish i would have had a video camera to film it -- sigh !!

Well what was rail force one doing there?
what a beautiful engine
Great catch! God Bless George AND George W!
That's what I can an incredibly rare consist! Wow you also got a meet
HOLY COW!
BROVO MAN! nice day to go railfanning ey. lol! awesome!!
WOW!
Amtrak is the solution
after the union switcher what are those other 2 engines?
WOW Sd70ACe engines are beautiful engines. This engine is very cool looking. To bad it is a western ran engine or I would have a model of it in HO to run with my Norfolk Southern stuff.
That is so cool (Y)
i want to drive that train with that paint scheme :D
i have one more year until i can get a job with the railway (Y)
Are you a locomotive Engineer?
i wonder if they repainted it by now
Awesome train video
Great meet!
well I was a junior in high SCHOOL back in the day ... are you sure you're not a junior in 'preskool'?
Nice video
Oh! It actually exist!!! I thought Athearn was just making GB loco as a trial
@airman004 UPY 1360 is a MP15DC
The 4141 is OOS in NLR.
I've seen an HO model of this unit!
hey I caught UP 4141 in Nebraska on BNSF tracks once
I wonder where this loco is now ]
Do want it in HO scale
Nice horn sounds
@mrkrzt I don't think it would stay on the rails up there.
Were those 2 switchers electric?
Wait, what? What's the story behind 4141? Never seen it before.
Also that little SW1500 looks like hell compared to the GenSets it's working with.
Ex Mil here. The reason the flag faces backwards on the uniform is because we always head toward the fight (think Civil War guideons) and never retreat. Not because Bush was NG lol Didn't he go AWOL?
Yes indeed, Mr. President, America misses you badly.
Nice catch of the G.W. Bush engine.
great horn!!!
Great video :)
awesome vid great catch
Pappy Bush? Glad he was a one-termer.
Sweet lookin engine
TFM or KCS? But Great Catch! 5/5
@rockguitarist946 I am with you 100% there, unless it has to do with steam.
painted up like Airforce #1
That old MP-15 looks rough!
Railroad equivalent of Air Force One perhaps? :P
Sweet! Nice catch indeed! And, all politics and opinions aside, there should be one for each sitting president, don't you think? Kind of honoring the Commander in Chief...in most cases, voted into office by the populace...
Norfolk and Southern would be perfect.
You would just have to put alot of "bling bling " on the engine. maybe some sub woofers.
@rosswhit119 I am fine at my Railroad Museum, so I won't quit railroading.
I would say they are SD70ACe ...
@mrkrzt Yep, drive it straight through Detroit with about 120 loaded tank cars of chlorine, and derail it....
What part of Texas
They are, Although now I like NS the best, for their heritage Units
and cool catch on the engine.
love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, the did do a good job on the heritage series and the 4141. Too bad they really had nothing to do with it, other than the idea.
Awesome Video Fiend....grettings
The Rail Force One? LOL
is that real or did he just paint it
I like the old switchers better
Hope im able to be the conductor on that train
@mjet401bnsf UP has over 1400 SD70Ms on thier roster as of end of 2009.
@BNSF9370 This was the first Bush, the one before Clinton.
wow man! nice!!!
@ rockguitarist946, me too, but I dont think someone will waste their time painting a KFC theme on one...lets hope not...
